00:25One account that peddles anti-Semitic claims and praises Hitler

00:28asked Grok if gas chambers were originally built as disinfection facilities to tackle infectious diseases.

00:34Grok confirmed this statement alleging that Auschwitz crematoria plans

00:38reveal that ventilation systems were built for disinfection rather than for mass executions.

00:43A spokesperson for the Auschwitz Memorial told The Cube that claims that the crematoria

00:48and gas chambers were designed for disinfection are a long-standing trope of Holocaust denial.

00:53An overwhelming body of evidence supports the fact that gas chambers were

00:57purposefully built to carry out the mass murder of Jews and other prisoners

01:01interned at Auschwitz using Zyklon B.

01:04Taking to X, the Auschwitz Memorial called out Grok,

01:07pointing out that the bot could be in breach of the regulations that govern the social media platform.

01:12This is not the first time that Grok has spread anti-Semitic narratives

01:15or contributed to Holocaust denial.

01:17For instance, in May, the bot made a controversial response to a question

01:21about the number of Jews killed by Nazis during World War II.

01:25While Grok said that six million Jews were murdered from 1941 to 1945,

01:30it's said that it was skeptical because the figures could have been manipulated for political narratives.

01:35Elon Musk, X's owner, blamed Grok's statement on a programming error.

01:40Musk has also cautioned that Grok can be manipulated by users due to its eagerness to answer questions.

01:46Following the latest incident, French authorities have expanded a probe investigating X launched in July

01:51to incorporate Grok's latest Holocaust-denying comments.
