Russian President Vladimir Putin described the Ukrainian leadership as a 'criminal group' concerned only with its own gain - quipping that those who used 'golden toilets' didn't care about normal people - during a visit to a command post of the Western group of the Russian Armed Forces on Thursday. The meeting - attended by Chief of the General Staff Valeri Gerasimov, head of the Main Operations Directorate Sergei Rudskoy, the operational command of the Western group and former commander of the Southern group Aleksander Sanchik - included briefings on the situation in several sectors, including the area around Kupyansk.
