Jim Parsons is revealing what it was like reprising his 'Big Bang Theory' role for the 'Young Sheldon' series finale. 00:06Parsons and Mayim Bialik will both appear in the prequel's final episode, which is set to air May 16th on CBS.

00:12The episode will mark the first time the two stars have reunited on screen since The Big Bang Theory ended in May 2019.

00:18During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Parsons said this about returning to the role of Sheldon Cooper.

00:23It was even more beautiful than I expected it to be.

00:26One of the reasons I was so excited to do it is because what they wrote is so sweet.

00:30And I think they worked Mayim and I into that show so beautifully.

00:33I hope everyone agrees.

00:34Though the actor has been a part of Young Sheldon as the show's narrator and executive producer for its seven-season run,

00:39he admitted that it took some time to get back into his former character's headspace before filming.

00:44He said,

00:44We just finished our first read-through. We didn't tape it.

00:47We just went in and felt around the set, and Mayim nailed it when she walked back and said,

00:51Uh, I thought I'd feel a lot more confident than this.

00:53I said,

00:54Me too.

00:54He continued,

00:55I really thought it'd be like putting on a pair of old shoes, and then eventually it was,

00:59but not for about an hour or so.

01:01Do I still know how to talk like this?

01:03It was weird.
