00:00It's probably 50-50. There is definitely a lot of inspiration from my wife and from my children.
00:11My kids are my biggest fans, and they're really, really in tune.
00:16They should both be A&R for record labels, because they are very in tune with what's happening in music.
00:24They've introduced me to artists that I probably would never have even batted an eye at.
00:30You know, from Ava Max to Tate McRae, you know, there's a bunch of other indie artists that I've just fallen in love with.
00:40Because, again, my kids listen to everything.
00:44But, you know, probably thinking about us, that one really, really was pulled a lot from my relationship.
00:55You know, Arizona, even though it's a personal record, I pulled all my emotion into that from my family, really from my kids.
01:08Because my youngest is truly, you know, she's eight, but she's smart as a tack.
01:14But I don't know if she really, really grasps the idea that she saved my life, because she did.
01:23You know, four years ago, when I came back from a trip to Miami doing a show, I smelled like a bar.
01:30I had done a ton of cocaine.
01:32I was off my rocker.
01:34And when I got home, she would not come within two feet of me.
01:38She wouldn't even hug me.
01:39And I was asking her why.
01:41And she said, you don't smell like my daddy.
01:43And that was it.
01:44Like something, a light bulb went off.
01:46And I was just like, what are you doing, dude?
01:49Like, seriously, my kids, by the grace of God, they've never seen me messed up.
01:55And now they never have to.
01:58And believe me, they are on me like flies on.
02:02If I'm on FaceTime and I'm drinking a bottle of Jones or even like I love ginger ale and most ginger ale bottles are green, they're like, Dad, is that alcohol?

02:14Number one, Daddy wouldn't be FaceTiming you if I was drinking.
02:17And number two, no, there's no alcohol.
02:20So, but they're on me.
02:22They're on me because they want to protect their dad.
