00:00So, I mean, specifically looking at some of the possible health hazards as a result of this heavy rainfall, plus the insanitary conditions, plus the flooding and the rainfall.
00:12I mean, what sorts of diseases, what sorts of infections would you think are particularly likely as a high risk environment like this?
00:24So, I think the diseases have to do with the fact that, again, the environment and the sanitary situation is not well, but also the fact that there was significant destruction on the health care system.
00:35We're talking about, since October 25, 917 health attacks, with 37 people killed in these attacks, and also 68 health facilities have been affected, 626 ambulances affected, and 178 people injured in these attacks from the health care system.
00:57So, you're talking about a significant weakening of the health care system to even support a response to emerging infections from the floods or from the water contamination and the heavy rain.
01:12So, we're talking about increasing incidences of rash, diarrhea, respiratory diseases, respiratory infections, and with the lack and with the significant stockouts of medications, specifically in the north of Gaza, we can talk about Gaza as a whole.
01:31There's significant stockouts of the basic essential medicines.
01:35So, we're expecting to see more disease and also remember that we have very, very complex compounded traumas and injuries from what has been taking place over the past two years.
01:47So, we're in a very fragile situation to start with, and now it's going to be even more challenging.
