00:00A team that's back to 500, got a victory last Friday night on the road.
00:05It wasn't easy.
00:06They gutted it out.
00:07It was Clemson.
00:08They win that matchup 20-19.
00:11They knock out Louisville out of contention for a college football playoff appearance, potentially.
00:16This was a team that the Cardinals had dominated Clemson last year in Death Valley.
00:22They defense forced turnovers.
00:24They made some plays in the final five minutes, and they gutted out.
00:28You saw Dabo Sweeney at the end of the game in the press conference.
00:32He was as high as anybody, excited to get that victory.
00:36What did that mean for the program to get back to 500?
00:40And you saw the jubilation out of Dabo Sweeney after the big win.
00:45Well, I said this before the game, and I do know Dabo.
00:48His legacy or his accomplishment at Clemson means a lot.
00:53He has 19 straight bowl games he's coached.
00:56It would have meant something very different in the direction of his program if he would have missed that mark, too.
01:02So he's got a chance to get to a bowl game again and keep – that's a top five in America as for continuous bowl streak.
01:08So that was very important to him.
01:10You could tell on the sideline.
01:11But I'm going to say this.
01:12That was a game that I don't think either team deserved to win.
01:15It was like who wants to lose the game the most?
01:18You've heard the old saying, we made the last – we made one more good play than them.
01:23This was a case of Louisville just making one more bad play than Clemson because they both made a lot of bad plays.
01:29Clemson fumbled – messed up a handoff exchange on the goal line twice.
01:35They had a flubbed up punt snap.
01:38They had a short punt.
01:39Louisville missed an extra point, missed two field goals, and had penalties that cost them a chip shot to win the game at the end.
01:48Neither team played very good football, but it was one that nobody wanted to win.
01:53I saw Dabo hugging somebody on that sideline because he was just happy he could get them back into something.
02:00Now, they've got one game they've got to win this week against Furman, I believe.
02:03If they beat Furman, then they've got house money on the South Carolina game.
02:08Can you imagine if they beat Furman, beat South Carolina, and then win a bowl game?
02:13He's really turned that into as much of a positive as you can when we all know it was a very, very tough year for Clemson.
02:21Clemson looking to get back to a bowl game.
02:24That would look like a positive considering that they were under .500 just a couple of weeks ago.
02:30They have lost four home games this year.
02:32Hopefully, they could right the ship, win out their next two, and win the rivalry game over a downed South Carolina Gamecock team that challenged Texas A&M.
02:43We'll see how it plays out.
02:44Coach, a team that we're not going to recap all that much, but Miami gets a critical win in dominating fashion over NC State.
02:52They're back in contention now for a college football playoff appearance and an outside shot at an ACC title.
03:00Thoughts about that win last Saturday in South Beach?
03:04Well, I mean, you couldn't have asked for more, and I don't think any of us were ready to give Miami credit for being able to do that.
03:11They came out and dominated the football game 42-7.
03:14An NC State team that played very well against Louisville, I didn't think anybody looked at better in a conference than NC State did the week before that.
03:23But Miami got a huge win.
03:25Now they need a couple of more.
03:26They've got a big game coming up down the road in that conference.
03:29They've got to play at, what, Pitt?
03:31And they've got to play Pitt.
03:33And not Virginia, but Pitt.
03:35They play Pitt as one of their big games to finish up at Georgia Tech, I believe.
03:40Virginia Tech.
03:41Miami plays Vontech this week.
03:43Yeah, Vontech, and then they also finish up there and can finish up very strong.
03:49But they probably cannot make the ACC championship game.
03:53But they could maybe slide in to a 10-2 team like we talked about.
03:57Can two teams make the college football playoffs?
04:00If it's going to be two teams, it's probably going to be Miami's, that other team.
