00:00The fate of the Flash movie hangs in the balance as actor Ezra Miller continues to make headlines
00:04for their controversial behavior and various arrests.
00:07This episode of THR News is brought to you by HBO. For your Emmy consideration.
00:13On Monday, the actor was charged with felony burglary for allegedly stealing bottles of
00:17alcohol from a Vermont home. And on Wednesday, Rolling Stone reported that Vermont's Child
00:22Services Department is attempting to locate a mother and three children who have allegedly
00:26been residing at Miller's farm in the state. This comes following Miller's previous arrests in March
00:31and April. A source with knowledge of the situation says studio Warner Brothers appears to be preparing
00:36for three possible scenarios. First, Warner Brothers has received indications that the 29-year-old will
00:42seek professional help. If that happens, Miller could give an interview at some point explaining
00:46their erratic behavior over the past few years. The actor could then do limited press for The Flash
00:51and the movie would open in cinemas as planned. As for the second scenario, even if Miller
00:56doesn't reach out for help, Warner Brothers could still release the film, but don't expect them to
01:00play a prominent role in terms of marketing and publicity. Nor would they be The Flash going
01:04forward as the role would be recast in future projects. And finally, an outright shelving of
01:09the film is not off the table, though it would be a last resort. This would see Warner Brothers killing
01:14the movie, as Miller is in almost every scene and the film could not be reshot with a different actor.
01:20Scrapping a $200 million film would be an unprecedented move.
01:24CAA, which represents Miller, didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
