00:00I'm curious what your thoughts were when you first read the script, and were you familiar with Vince's work ahead of time?

00:05Before I read the script, I was a huge fan of Vince Gilligan. It was always a dream of mine to work with him.

00:11I've always asked my team if there's anything ever for Vince Gilligan.

00:15I would say, please, please, please get me in the room so I can have an opportunity to read for him.

00:20And over the years, I haven't. And then this came around, and when I auditioned for it, I didn't know what the project was about.

00:29All I knew, it had a fake name, and the sides were actually from an episode three. It's from the grenade scene.

00:38It was truly exciting because I have not read anything like it. I haven't seen a character like this on TV ever.

00:47I have not seen this world on TV before. And he is such a master of his craft. He's such a visionary.

00:56It has a lot of dark humor, which I really, really appreciate and love. So I was very excited when I read it.
