00:00Baby, all I want to do with my life is protect you. You know that, right?
00:03Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks from the most infamous times
00:07there were allegations that cast or crew were tormented, harassed, and mistreated others
00:12behind the scenes of films and TV shows.
00:18Number 10, David Harbour, Stranger Things.
00:21Until recently, Harbour was a respected figure in Hollywood.
00:24The funny thing about acting, right, is like certain things I feel like do resonate.
00:30But they may not resonate directly one-to-one, or they may not exactly add up, but you feel it.
00:35But once his ex-wife Lily Allen released her album that contained many unflattering references
00:40to his alleged cheating, it all changed for Harbour.
00:43Soon after, it was reported that his Stranger Things co-star, Millie Bobby Brown, had filed
00:47a claim against Harbour for harassment.
00:49The claim, which was issued before filming the show's fifth season, led to an investigation
00:53that reportedly resulted in pages of accusations against Harbour.
00:57Netflix has a duty to do an investigation, to either discipline or take action.
01:02Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer have shied away from addressing allegations, and Harbour
01:07and Brown haven't showcased any resentment publicly.
01:10Nonetheless, awareness of this behind-the-scenes controversy may forever alter how fans view
01:14Harbour.
01:15Those bad men aren't going to find you.
01:18Alright?
01:19I'm not way the hell out of here.
01:20Number 9, Michael Bay.
01:22Transformers and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
01:25After making a controversial appearance as an extra in Bay's Bad Boys 2 in 2003, due
01:30to being a minor at the time, Megan Fox was signed on as a star in his Transformers franchise,
01:35playing Michaela Baines.
01:36Are you Samuel James Witwicky, descendant of Archibald Witwicky?
01:41So you're me.
01:43However, after the sequel, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, the actor was interviewed by
01:47Wonderland Magazine.
01:48When asked about her favorite and least favorite parts of working with Bay, Fox compared him
01:52to Adolf Hitler, and claimed he was a nightmare when he was in director mode.
01:56I'm a victim.
01:56Oh, you were a victim?
01:57Of what?
01:58Of what?
01:58It was later confirmed that Fox was dropped by the franchise, essentially being replaced
02:02by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in 2011's Transformers Dark of the Moon.
02:06Bay claimed producer Steven Spielberg demanded Fox's firing, which Spielberg denied.
02:10I was young when a lot of that was happening, and I always, I was really self-righteous,
02:15and my anger, I thought I was right to speak the way that I spoke, and as I got a little
02:19older, I understood, regardless of whatever my issues were, they should always have remained
02:23private.
02:24Number 8.
02:25Lea Michele, Glee.
02:27In 2020, Michele, like many celebrities, made a social media statement against the murder
02:32of George Floyd, and expressed her support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
02:36However, this inadvertently led to a PR crisis.
02:38I'm arguing on principle, this is not personal.
02:41Her co-star, Samantha Marie Ware, came forward to claim she was a victim of Michele's microaggressions
02:47as they filmed season 6 of Glee.
02:49Can I say something?
02:50Why are you helping me?
02:52Oh, look, we might be mortal show choir enemies, but I'm a woman before all of that, and I
02:58figure you're fighting this fight for all of us girls.
03:00This sparked several more former colleagues from the show to confirm Ware's description
03:04of Michele, claiming she was rude and hostile to those working on set.
03:07In response, as companies began distancing themselves from Michele, the singer and actress
03:12apologized for her behavior, and seemingly confirmed her previous bad attitude.
03:16She then focused more on Broadway, and hasn't been in films or television since 2019.
03:21I'm so sorry.
03:24I fully understand if you want to beat me up.
03:28If you can, just try and avoid my nose.
03:30Number 7.
03:31Noel Clark, Various.
03:32Publicly, Clark was a champion of diversity in film and TV, as he acted, produced, and directed
03:39many projects, becoming one of the most influential industry figures in the UK.
03:43Stay down!
03:44However, behind the scenes, it was very different.
03:48In 2021, The Guardian published an article featuring accounts by 20 women who'd worked
03:53with the filmmaker, and allegedly experienced abuse by him.
03:56After the allegations came out, further women came forward with their accounts.
03:59They allege Clark is a serial abuser of women, using his power in the industry to prey on
04:06and harass female colleagues.
04:07Clark denied the claims, positioning himself as a victim of lies, and issued a libel suit
04:12against the publication.
04:14However, in 2025, a judge ruled against Clark, describing the claims by the article and his
04:19accusers as substantially true.
04:21This resulted in him being ordered to pay The Guardian's £3 million legal fee.
04:25This story, whilst the legal element might be over, the impact of it continues forever.
04:30Number 6.
04:31Ellen DeGeneres.
04:32The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
04:34In 2020, BuzzFeed released an article that tarnished the positive reputation DeGeneres
04:38had accumulated over the course of her decades-long career.
04:41Former staffers who used to work at The Ellen Show are coming out of the woodwork sharing their
04:45stories.
04:46Claims of a toxic environment were revealed, in which crew members sustained racism and other
04:50harassment from executives.
04:52An investigation led to the dismissal of several senior staff members.
04:56I know that I'm in a position of privilege and power, and I realize that with that comes
05:00responsibility, and I take responsibility for what happens at my show.
05:04Despite DeGeneres apologizing publicly, and stating her intention to change the show's
05:08perception, after a million viewers stopped watching, the program came to an end in 2022.
05:13Thank you so much for being on this journey with me.
05:16I feel the love, and I send it back to you.
05:19The controversy didn't end there.
05:22In 2025, claims emerged that DeGeneres would target male members of her crew for socializing
05:27with her wife, Portia de Rossi, resulting in hostility and likely dismissal.
05:32Number 5.
05:33Chevy Chase.
05:34Community.
05:35Community made a great coup by signing the legendary comedy actor Chase to star as Pierce
05:39Hawthorne, helping turn the show into a cult classic.
05:42You know, I've been divorced seven times.
05:48Sometimes I think I'm doing something wrong.
05:50Yet, before season 4 began airing, that was seemingly a dreadful decision for the sitcom.
05:55As detailed by Donald Glover, Chase targeted the actor, often disrupting scenes and using
06:00racially charged statements.
06:01Series creator Dan Harmon claims he did this, as he was jealous of Glover's talent.
06:06Where's Chevy difficult to work with?
06:07Yeah, I mean, I think, I wish he was sitting here so that that didn't seem scandalous to
06:14say, because I doubt he would disagree.
06:16The final straw came when Chase, frustrated with his character's direction, ranted about
06:20the possibility of him using a racial slur, which Chase reportedly uttered.
06:24Though he apologized, he was let go from the show.
06:27However, Chase claims it was because the show wasn't funny enough.
06:30Tell me how to get this laid back, or I'll kill your families!
06:33Number 4, Bill Murray, Charlie's Angels.
06:37Murray has a long history of reports of bad behavior and feuds on set.
06:41However, the most notorious is arguably during the making of 2000's Charlie's Angels.
06:45Okay, we're in deep cover now, so if you can't remember, John David, just tell me you, J.D.
06:52For starters, director McG accused the actor of headbutting him on set, following an altercation
06:57during production.
06:58Not only was the director allegedly tormented by Murray, but so was co-star Lucy Liu.
07:03She's spoken about being on the receiving end of an abusive tirade he started during
07:07rehearsal.
07:16Liu, who later described Murray's rant as inexcusable and unacceptable, stood up for herself.
07:22As a result of this drama, Murray didn't return for the 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels
07:26Full Throttle.
07:27So what does Abazi do around here?
07:29He does the most important job of all.
07:31What's that?
07:33He connects us with Charlie.
07:35Number 3, Scott Rudin.
07:37Farius.
07:38One of the most successful producers to work in film and theater, Rudin has had an award-laden
07:43career.
07:43When the audience walks in, that's what they're going to see?
07:46That's it.
07:46That's, that's West Side Story.
07:48Yet, all of that came to an abrupt end in 2021, when the Hollywood Reporter reported
07:53on allegations that he'd abused his staff.
07:56While Rudin claimed in the past that he'd sorted out his temper, according to the workers,
08:00he hadn't.
08:01Instead, he allegedly threw items at, screamed abuse at, and attacked them.
08:05He once allegedly lost his temper and closed a laptop computer on his assistant's hands.
08:11The young man reportedly had to be rushed to the emergency room.
08:15Rudin then reportedly forced them to sign NDAs to stop them from discussing it publicly.
08:19While the disgraced producer apologized and stated he would step back from work, various
08:23companies and productions cut ties with him.
08:26Following this, celebrated screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, who'd work with Rudin, stated the producer
08:31got what he deserved.
08:32The abuse you inflict has consequences.
08:34Real consequences would, um, would be Scott Rudin no longer being able to work in the entertainment
08:41industry.
08:41Number two, Joss Whedon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Justice League.
08:46For decades, Joss Whedon was a hero to countless fans of TV, movies, and comics.
08:51He also developed a positive reputation for his dynamic female characters.
08:55When you're known for creating a small female character, um, people like to sort of put that
08:59in a box and say, that's what you're gonna do.
09:00What I like to do is create human characters.
09:02Yet, after taking the helm of 2017's Justice League, an uglier side reportedly emerged.
09:07In 2020, actor Ray Fisher accused Whedon of abusive behavior toward the cast and crew,
09:13which was later supported by other cast members.
09:15Victor, you can find the boxes.
09:18You share their energy.
09:21I know it's frightening, but if you go under, I promise we will pull you back out.
09:29Just keep the little merman away from me while I work.
09:31In 2021, actress Charisma Carpenter claimed Whedon was abusive towards her,
09:36mocking her pregnancy and faith, leading to her firing.
09:39Michelle Trachtenberg, who was a teenager when she first started working with Whedon,
09:42said she wasn't allowed to be alone with him.
09:44Other Buffy and Angel stars have corroborated these allegations.
09:48Whedon denies any wrongdoing, but it's clear that his image has been seriously tarnished.

10:11Number 1. Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni.
10:15It Ends With Us.
10:16It's impossible to discuss 2024 romantic drama It Ends With Us
10:20without talking about the scandal that emerged behind the scenes between actors Lively and Baldoni.
10:25I don't want it.
10:26Read it.
10:27Following the film's release, Lively issued a legal complaint against Baldoni,
10:30who was also the film's director.
10:32She claimed he created a hostile environment, including harassing and body shaming her.
10:37This was followed by a report by the New York Times that Baldoni had launched a campaign to discredit Lively.
10:42My goal is not to hurt anyone else.
10:45My goal is to protect my client and to protect their image.
10:51Whereas, some people are in for the kill.
10:54Baldoni refuted the claims and issued lawsuits against Lively and the publication for defamation,
10:59claiming Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, aggressively berated him.
11:03In response, Lively countersued.
11:06Baldoni's lawsuits were eventually thrown out in 2025,
11:09with Lively's complaints had to go to trial in 2026.
11:11What other behind-the-scenes harassing allegations did we miss in the video?
