00:00process as I've been mentioning. So may box-off yan. Merong date yung box-off, you have to make your weight.

00:07So unfortunately, si Carlo caught that bad flu. Ito yung mga previous months.

00:16So he wasn't able to train for a couple of weeks. And basically, he wasn't prepared for the box-off.

00:25And at that time, so he didn't make weight. Kasi sabi niya kahit nagtraining siya, tumatapos siya sa oval, hindi talaga kahit nang matawan niya.

00:39Kasi understandably, physically, malaki rin yung impact ng flu or whatever illness he had at that time.

00:51And so, hindi siya naka-box-off. So upon learning that, I spoke to our coaches and sabi ko, let's reschedule yung box-off for that weight loss.

01:05Ang katimbang niya kasi si Ian Clark Bautista, who's also a three-time SEA Games Gold medalist.

01:10Hindi rin naman na na. Tsaka weight loss niya rin talaga yung 57. Si Carlo kasi from 54 yan.

01:15Nung Tokyo Olympics, 50 ko siya. So talaga nga lumaki na lang yan. Although nung Maris, 57 siya.

01:23So si Carlo, so I spoke to the coaches. I said, let's reschedule yung box-off.

01:30Because we have to settle it sa ring. Hindi yung ready yung isa kaya yung isa yung magpipili.

01:39But what happened ko, si Carlo nagpaminicate sa akin and he expressed na let's not tanok.

01:49Nag-beg off na siya dun sa box-off. Kasi sabi niya, he respects the selection process, the timeline.

01:55And also he has a huge respect to Ian Clark Bautista na alam naman yan na hindi rin naman to basta-basta ang boxer lang.

02:06So feeling naman niya we're gonna be represented well at that weight loss.

02:11And so siya, he's just setting his sights on the Asian Championships which will be first quarter of the year.

02:17And some of the other tournaments ng I.F. namin which are nakakakuha na ng ranking points for the Olympics.

02:30So dun na siya na ganon. Dun na siya na po-focus ngayon.

02:33So kaya sabi niya, ayaw na rin niya maka-distract sa team.

02:38And so nag-beg off na rin siya for the box-off.

02:42So dalawang Carlos ang nawala. Parehas lang ang game.
