00:00Mr. President, today the House of Representatives finally voted to demand that the Justice

00:09Department release the Epstein files.

00:13The American people have waited a very long time for this.

00:18The margin in the House was overwhelming.

00:21In fact, every single member of Congress except one voted yes.

00:26And that now brings the focus to the United States Senate.

00:31As soon as the House sends us the Epstein bill, the Senate should move without delay to

00:38pass it unamended and send it on to the President's desk to be signed into law.

00:46We should pass this bill as soon as possible, as written, and without a hint of delay.

00:54Republicans must not try to change this bill or bury it in committee or slow walk it in

00:59any way.

01:00Any amendment to this bill would force it back to the House and risk further delay.

01:06Who knows what would happen over there?

01:08The American people have waited long enough, and they cannot take the risk.

01:15We have an opportunity to get this bill done today and have it on the President's desk

01:20to be signed into law tonight.

01:24We should seize that opportunity.

01:26That is why, later today, I will ask unanimous consent for the Senate to hold a vote to pass

01:33the House Epstein bill.

01:36The Epstein victims' bill and the groups, the Epstein victims' groups, have made it clear

01:44they do not want amendments to the bill.

01:46In fact, just this morning, Epstein survivors stood right in front of the Capitol, demanding

01:51that Congress pass this version of the bill.

01:55The House has now spoken in an overwhelming fashion, and Senate Republicans must step up.

02:04Because the public is fed up with waiting around to get to the bottom of the Epstein files.

02:10Americans are fed up with Donald Trump's lies.

02:13They are fed up with the cover-ups.

02:16And they are fed up with Republican leaders who keep siding with Donald Trump instead of

02:21siding with the American people who demand transparency when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein.

02:28There is only one right answer for the Senate.

02:31Pass this bill as written today.

02:35And let me say something else.

02:37This could not have been possible without the courage and advocacy of Jeffrey Epstein's survivors.

02:41They made this vote possible.

02:44They risked their safety coming out of the darkness to share their stories, tell the truth.

02:51We thank them.

02:52We thank them.

02:54And everyone who has pushed for transparency.

02:56And let me also add this.

03:01This will go down as one of the most damaging moments of Donald Trump's presidency.

03:07In trying so hard to hide the truth, Donald Trump has provoked the fiercest rebellion he's

03:11ever faced among his own supporters, both in Congress and around the country.

03:18All the lying, all the broken promises about transparency, all the bullying and threats to members of Congress

03:25who wanted these files released, it's all blown up in Donald Trump's face.

03:31His usual methods of intimidation and dishonesty have failed spectacularly in this instance.

03:37But make no mistake, today's vote is just one step.

03:42Once the Senate sends this bill to the President's desk, Donald Trump must obey the letter of the

03:48law and ensure full transparency regarding the Epstein files.

03:54No will give you some of this or not, but not that.

03:57Maybe you should see this.

03:58There's a reason you can't see that.

04:01Anything less than full transparency will be unacceptable in the eyes of the American people.

04:08If the President tries to manipulate his way into releasing just some of the Epstein files

04:13while deliberately hiding others, the public will see right through it.

04:18And their frustration, their distrust in Donald Trump will grow even worse.

04:25Before we get to that step, the Senate must finish this job first.

04:30We must pass this bill unamended as soon as humanly possible.
