President Trump has invited Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to join the new U.S.-led Board of Peace that will oversee Gaza until 2027, following the UN Security Council’s approval of the plan. During a White House dinner, Trump said the board will include leaders from major global powers and praised MBS for helping secure the recent Gaza ceasefire. 00:09board like the board that we're going to be announcing. Everybody wants to be on

00:14the board and it'll end up being quite a large board because it'll be the heads

00:20of every major country. China, which was against it, took a pass, didn't vote

00:27against it and Russia, which was against it, didn't vote against it. U.S. and

00:31Saudi relationship, which was forged 80 years ago, you and I are strengthening

00:37and renewing the alliance, I believe, to levels that were far greater than what

00:41they had even 80 years ago, frankly. The United Nations Security Council formally

00:45adopted my peace plan and officially endorsed the Board of Peace. This is a

00:51board like no other. It will have the heads of major countries, I think all of

00:56the major countries. I hope your highness will be on the board, you'll accept, I

01:00hope, but the Board of Peace will be something that's never even been thought

01:04of before and it's covering Gaza but it'll end up covering large portions of

01:09the world and I was honored to be chosen the chair of that Board of Peace and I

01:14think you'll see something that nobody's ever seen before in terms of the status

01:18of the board. There will never be a board like the board that we're going to be

01:22announcing. Everybody wants to be on the board and it'll end up being quite a

01:29large board because it'll be the heads of every major country and the United

01:35Nations passed it. I guess unanimously you can say China, which was against it, took a

01:43pass, didn't vote against it and Russia, which was against it, didn't vote against it. So we

01:48appreciate it because one one negative vote and it doesn't happen. So people

01:52were shocked to see that was approved and that was a great honor. It's a great

01:58honor for me, I will tell you. I think it's something like nobody's ever even

02:03imagined. So it's called the Board of Peace and watch for it because it's going

02:08to do some fantastic things. And I know we're both deeply committed to an enduring

02:12ceasefire. It grows into the beautiful, lasting peace and we've got things going

02:18at numbers and far ahead of schedule that nobody thought was possible. So Your

02:23Royal Highness, just as my predecessors and so many of the people that you know

02:28and love from a long time ago, they bonded with the U.S. and Saudi relationship

02:34which was forged 80 years ago. You and I are strengthening and renewing the

02:40alliance, I believe, to levels that were far greater than what they had even 80

02:43years ago, frankly. You know, we pray that we will be celebrated by our own

02:48descendants some days for this incredible relationship that's been built between

02:53the United States of America and Saudi Arabia.
