00:06Laverne Cox was hosting E!'s red carpet special and during an interview with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith,

00:12it seemed like all bets were off when the Orange is the New Black star mentioned the couple's entanglement.

00:18Recall during an interview on Jada's Red Table Talk in July 2020,

00:22she mentioned having a relationship with singer August Alsina,

00:25which she referred to as an entanglement since she and Will were still married at the time but separated.

00:30Her use of the word entanglement went viral at that time and this story's been a hot topic surrounding the couple since,

00:37with everyone trying to get clarity on what exactly Jada meant.

00:40Well, before Laverne ended her interview with the couple, she told them,

00:50Will then nervously laughed at the joke while Jada also sort of laughed it off and said,

00:56Now, even though the Smiths took it in stride, the internet was not having it.
