01:08but because of our very first guest in studio will be none other than Triple H
01:13the gang, he's warming up right now in the green room
01:15and I tell you what, we haven't seen or heard from Triple H in over three months
01:18so tonight is very exciting
01:19and I know I'm very interested as you are too for different reasons
01:22on what Triple H has to say on several different topics tonight
01:25well why would I have different reasons to be interested, huh?
01:28well I think everybody out there realizes your history with married men in the McMahon family
01:33uh, yes, that's a story we'll save for another day
01:36well of course, I know a ton of people out there are going to have questions for Triple H

01:58last Sunday, live on Pay Per View
02:00the anticipation was absolutely unbelievable
02:02right, The Rock's return to Pay Per View
02:03that it was
02:04and The Rock was going after the WCW and
02:07excuse me, the WWF title was on the line at the same event
02:10of course, all eyes were on Kurt Angle
02:11he was going after the WWF title against Stone Cold Steve Austin
02:14but The Rattlesnake had other ideas, that's right, at SummerSlam
02:17that's Kurt Angle, we're going to be live
02:18right here on XS a little bit later on
02:20on the show
02:21and we'll get the words from the horse's mouth per se
02:23but right now, we're going to waste no more time
02:24we're going to take a quick break

02:51and tonight we're not only celebrating our debut of XS
02:53we have a very special guest, Triple H is standing by
02:56and of course Triple H is coming off that devastating injury three months ago
02:58and Trish, I know you've been out of action for a little bit though
03:01you've had an injury of your own
03:02yes, I just came out of surgery
03:03and I'm recovering, I'm starting to walk
03:05and soon I'll be doing my strata strata again
03:07you're looking finer than ever
03:08oh thank you
03:09but before we bring out Triple H
03:11let's take a look at how that injury did happen
03:13ok
03:22to be honest, when it first happened
03:24I don't know what the hell happened to me
03:26it felt like I had been shot in the thigh
03:28I had a really strong sensation here of a pop
03:31and it felt like electricity went up my leg
03:34and I guess that was it tearing
03:35I knew I had seriously messed something up
03:39basically what I did is I completely tore my quadricep
03:44the front of my thigh away from its insertion
03:47how did this happen?
03:50I was in the ring, I went to hit a guy from behind
03:53I planted my leg as I hit him
03:55and it just popped
03:56just popped, I went down
03:58I couldn't really stand by
04:00I finished the match
04:01another five minutes or so
04:02and then
04:03finished the match?
04:04yeah
04:05it probably wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do
04:07but yeah, I finished the match
04:09and then I went right from the ring
04:10right to get the MRI done
04:11I knew something was seriously wrong
04:14my goal at that point was to finish the match
04:17to continue doing what we were doing
04:18and just to get through it
04:22oh my god! Jericho's got the walls of Jericho
04:25what are you doing?
04:26Jericho's got the walls of Jericho
04:28on the game!
04:29on the game!
04:30oh
04:35um
04:36walls of Jericho felt like
04:37uh
04:38the longest thing I'd ever done in my life
04:40it never even put me in it
04:41and as I was turning over in it thinking
04:43this is going to be brutal
04:46now if you look at the match
04:48um
04:49back the second that match is over
04:50I'm on the floor just holding onto my leg
04:52it was
04:53and it took every bit of
04:54uh
04:55what I had in me to make it through the end of the match
04:57and once I did it was
04:59I was done
05:00I'm incredibly nervous
05:01um
05:02it's pretty
05:04major surgery
05:05reattaching
05:06all those muscles
05:07you know to the knee
05:08and
05:09and I'm sure he'll be fine
05:10but
05:11yeah I am
05:12I'm nervous
05:17is this anything I can expect?
05:19I didn't know what to expect
05:23it was a pretty severe quadriceps rupture
05:26and it was sort of tricky because
05:28when you open the skin looking for the defect
05:30uh
05:31it was
05:32the top part of the quadriceps was still intact
05:35but the main part was torn out underneath
05:37and so it was real hard to
05:38to try to identify what had happened
05:39it was quite amazing once you saw
05:41how this was torn
05:42and it could have easily been missed
05:44uh
05:45with looking in
05:46opening the skin up
05:47we thought we'd see a big hole
05:48defect
05:49and
05:50and we had to go underneath
05:51to really find the tear
05:52so
05:53uh
05:54we're glad we were able to identify it
05:55and we had good tissue
05:56and we got a good strong repair
05:58put it right back to the kneecap
05:59with big heavy sutures
06:01the first uh
06:05hurdle of course is the first
06:06week
06:07for the skin and uh
06:09soft tissues to begin to heal
06:10uh
06:11first week to two weeks
06:12and then uh
06:13maximum protection phase is about four weeks
06:15and then uh
06:17uh
06:18he'll reach uh
06:19fairly good uh
06:20uh
06:21healing with tensile properties at four months
06:22so uh
06:23we'll see how he does
06:24and uh
06:25got a lot of work in front of him
06:26now
06:27my work's basically over
06:28so i'll turn it over to the patient
06:29and to the
06:30uh
06:31to kevin wilk and the rehab specialist
06:32i think the first thing i'm gonna say
06:34to triple h is that it's over
06:36and now he's just gonna get better
06:39well how is he feeling
06:40well we're about to find out
06:41we haven't seen him in over three months
06:42he is one of the biggest superstars
06:44in the history of the business
06:45and he joins us here tonight live

07:43how's the physical therapy going

07:50this is a uh...
07:51it's great for me to be back here
07:52just to be able to walk out
07:53hear my music
07:54get that buzz going again

07:56it's an incredible thing

07:58just to actually be
07:59let out of my uh...
08:01seemingly like work release program type deal
08:03i got going on in birmingham alabama where i rehab
08:06you know i'm there
08:07uh...
08:08basically like eight nine hours a day
08:10every single day of the week
08:12and uh... it's just a lot of rehab
08:14and it's it's a brutal program
08:16but uh... you know it's going to allow me to come back faster than uh...
08:20than uh... they expected so
08:22that's it's all worth it
08:23so tell me i mean when this actually happened you knew you were in for something i mean something
08:28what were you thinking what happened
08:30jeez when it i mean that the second it happened you know of first i didn't know what happened it you know as you heard me say earlier i thought i'd kind of get shot in the leg or something i didn't know but as soon as i would have had a second to think about it i realize that i'd torn my quad
08:43you know i just had that popping sensation at the bottom and the heat or electricity feeling was my muscle rolling up into my leg and uh... you know i've been in this business and i've been around injuries long enough to know what that means a torn quad is not a good thing and that uh...
08:59but you're looking at somewhere between 6 months and 10 months to a year.
09:05It's a long time.
09:07It's a serious injury.
09:09They had to do a lot of reconstruction in there
09:10and drill holes in my kneecap and fish sutures through there
09:15and attach it to my quad and all this stuff.
09:17It's a big deal, but it's coming along great.
09:21It's been a little over three months now.
09:24Probably another three. I'll be back better than ever.
09:27Fantastic. When we saw the surgery,
09:28Let's go ahead and take a look if we could at the actual scar on your knee
09:32I mean it's about 12 inches long
09:34Wow, take a look at that right there
09:37Well coach, I know you and you're a little bit of an exaggerator
09:42But that my friend is not 12 inches long
09:45Now to you maybe that's 12 inches long
09:48And you might tell people that's 12 inches
09:50But realistically Trish, you know that's not 12 inches
09:53Well let's see what Craig in Florida has to ask

12:59You know it's a weird thing because the type of injury that I had was a massive injury
13:06But when you watch the footage it really doesn't look like that
13:09You know it's not like a Joe Theismann or Sid Vicious breaking his leg
13:12You know this was you know it looked like an everyday part of an everyday match
13:18You know I just planted my leg and went down
13:20So watching it back really doesn't
13:23I think once we know what happened and then we watch it back
13:26That's quite amazing
13:26Yeah actually the walls of Jericho is probably the worst part
13:30I can't believe you're coming on
13:31I can't believe you did either
13:32You know so many things have happened since you left
13:35And even before you left
13:35And you're very close obviously
13:37You're part of the McMahon family

25:38That is my number one goal
25:39But if you want to know
25:42What the World Wrestling
25:43Federation championship means
25:45You've got to look
25:45At the people
25:47Who have won it
25:48What they've done
25:49To get it
25:49And what it's done
25:50To them after they get it
25:51Because that belt
25:52Is a pressure cooker
25:53When you get it
25:54You think you know
25:54What it's going to be
25:55But after you have it
25:56That's when it all comes on
25:57All the pressure is there
25:59Some guys can handle it
26:00Some guys can't
26:02I've seen a lot

26:04And I've seen a lot

26:05And it's ruined everything

26:08It's ruined their personal lives
