Innovation City Paul Dawalibi
Transcript
00:00My name is Paul Dowalibi. I'm the CEO of Innovation City, the world's leading free
00:16zone focused just on innovation and technology. Innovation City is a free
00:22zone, so like any other free zone we sell a business license, we sell visa, we sell
00:26a desk, we make it easy for businesses who want to come to the UAE, who want to
00:30come to Ressa Hema to set up and do business and live and work all in one
00:35place. So as a free zone we're not unlike many other free zones. Now where
00:39Innovation City is really quite unique is we're focused purely on technology and
00:44innovation, so we offer activities, we offer an ecosystem, we offer a lot of
00:50value-add really tailored specifically to innovation and technology companies.
00:56Innovation City, the key is really in those two words. The innovation side
01:03where as a free zone we're always looking to push the boundaries and always
01:07looking to innovate. Innovation in terms of how we deliver the service, how quickly
01:11we deliver the service, how much is AI powered, AI enabled to make our customers
01:16lives easier and more frictionless. In the activities we offer you'll see some
01:21announcements in the coming weeks, months, years where we are really going to
01:25innovate in terms of the activities we offer and the kinds of businesses we can
01:29enable at Innovation City. Now the second part of the equation is the city part and
01:33that's the really exciting sort of future where Innovation City will be a
01:38place really tailor-made, really built to support technology and innovation
01:43entrepreneurs and technology and innovation businesses. We know those
01:47companies don't want to sit in cubicles and towers, they want to be in an
01:51environment, in a community of like-minded people, of creators, of builders and they
01:56want to be that in that density of energy and density of intensity that we
02:00believe is at the core of what makes Innovation City special.
02:03You know that I always talk about Silicon Valley as a little bit of a as a an
02:10analogy to what we're trying to build and what makes Silicon Valley great is it
02:14doesn't matter where you are whether you're in a Starbucks or in an office,
02:17you're always going to bump into other people who are like you, building
02:21something like you, going through the same things you are, going through the
02:24same challenges you are. At Innovation City the appeal really is we understand
02:29your pain as a technology builder, as a technology company and we've built a free
02:33zone now with with all of the offering from the service right through to the
02:38ecosystem and the the community around it that is really tailor-made for you and so
02:43we'd like to say that you belong. When you're a technology company, when you're a
02:46technology entrepreneur, you really belong at Innovation City. You will feel
02:49like you will belong. You go anywhere else and you will feel like an outsider.
02:53Look, Inovie is this incredible humanoid robot from Unitree, one of the very cool
03:01innovative technology companies out of China. These are the kinds of companies
03:06and products that we welcome at Innovation City, that we support at Innovation City
03:09and Inovie is kind of the demonstration of where the future of
03:14Innovation City is going. As we built out this infrastructure, as we build out this
03:17city, so much of the roles of humans will be replaced by Inovie who will
03:23welcome guests, who will shepherd people through the city, who will answer
03:27questions. Eventually Inovie will be able to set up your entire business without
03:31ever needing a human to interact with. So this is the future and we embrace it. It
03:37doesn't matter what the technology is, it doesn't matter what the innovation is.
03:40Today it's cool robots like Inovie and it's AI everywhere and Web3, but tomorrow it
03:47could be something completely different. As the free zone of the future, we're really
03:51built to embrace whatever is next.
