00:00None of it means anything.
00:13I can't thought it was a low-budget film to begin with.
00:16It was just like another job except it looked weird.
00:18I got dressed in the costume.
00:21They put bits on it.
00:22I thought, cool, this looks good.
00:23There wasn't a lot of certainty as to what it would be.
00:27I had an invite to go for lunch with Alec Guinness.
00:30We used to go in and sort of practice the fight together,
00:32like kids playing in the back garden.
00:34And I was like, holy shit, look at this.
00:36What's going on?
00:37How many actors can say that have got their own action figures?
00:42I said, George, how do you want me to play this?
00:45He said, well, play it like they do in the movies.
00:49I took the afternoon off up to Pinewood Studios
00:51and knocked on the door.
00:53So within a week, I got a call to be in Star Wars.
00:58It was just a nightmare.
00:59I mean, it just turned into a sh**.
01:01Not everything's going to stay in the film.
01:03And I was quite angry and hurt.
01:05I suffered from, like, terrible depression, you know.
01:07The only thing that really got me out of this house
01:08was really going and doing this convention.
01:11And he said, I'll pay you 300 pounds.
01:13What, doing what?
01:14He said, sign an autograph.
01:16I said, are you for real?
01:19There's quite a lot of politicking.
01:21It's all to do with money.
01:21They get just kind of jealous
01:22that you're taking a piece of their action.
01:24My face was in the movie, you know.
01:26Jeremy's got a bucket of his head.
01:27What's that about?
01:28Well, that's purely because it's Boba Fett.
01:30I can't say any more than that.
01:31It's not my fault.
01:33Fans all over the world
01:34are generally just brilliant.
01:36Come on, some of them are right off the wall.
01:38The little bit, Mr Bullock,
01:40that you made a slight look.
01:42I see the ass waiting for lunch.
01:44You become friends.
01:47I just treat everybody the same.
01:49I really didn't have that driving ambition to succeed.
01:52Maybe that's where I've been going wrong.
01:57Star Wars is my main source of income.
01:59It's better than sitting around your house
02:00waiting for all the heat to overtake you.
02:04You don't want to be classified
02:05just as an ex-X-Wing pilot.
02:09It's a piece of us,
02:10or it's a piece of, you know,
02:11what somebody's life is.
02:14And I was in with the helmet on
02:16and walking around,
02:17and then finally stopping with George Lucas.
02:20He said, welcome aboard.
02:21It's not a big role,
02:22but I think you'll have some fun.
02:25You kind of just go, you know, move on.
02:27As the San Trooper says, move along.
