00:00I mean, all these girls are just trying to live their best lives and then the men around them are just messing it up for them.
00:07Welcome to Yap Session, the show where we talk about what everyone else is talking about on the internet and around the office here at Page Six.
00:15What are we getting into today? What's our first topic?
00:17Our first topic is about the comeback season.
00:20Oh yes, we are totally in rebound comeback season.
00:23Yes, we are. We have, first of all, Hilary Duff and her new song, Mature.
00:27She is making a grand return. What do we think about that?
00:31I listen to it. It's a little bit of a bop. I mean, it's a bop. It's like a pop song, but it has a heavy message.
00:37Like, about the age gaps and like feeling like she maybe was taken advantage of.
00:41Not maybe anything over the top in the song, but like just being younger and being told, what was it, that you sound so mature for your age or you're so mature for your age.
00:51Like, I'm sure your new girl loves hearing that. Like, I loved hearing that, you know?
00:55I know some people think it's about her previous relationship when she was 16 to Joel Madden, but, which does make sense.
01:04But actually, Nicole Richie responded on her Instagram story being like, with a picture of the two of them being like, guys, this is a bop.
01:10Yeah. So like, it was two of them together in a photo. So there was no shade.
01:16No shade. They're friends.
01:18She's talking about her previous husband and her current, Nicole Richie's current husband.
01:23Yes.
01:24And Hilary Duff's previous boyfriend.
01:26Yeah.
01:26So you would think there might be, oh, you're shading my husband. I'm upset.
01:29No, she squashed it so fast.
01:31Yeah, they're fine.
01:32So fast.
01:33But I'm ready for Hilary Duff 2.0 as a musician.
01:36I mean, every time it rains, in my head, I hear, let the rain fall down.
01:41Yeah.
01:42Metamorphosis?
01:43What?
01:44Exactly. It's been a minute since we've heard her, like, just make an album.
01:47You know, obviously, I loved her on Younger.
01:49I watched that TV show.
01:50She's, she's, it's not like she's gone away, but she just, as a singer, as a pop girly,
01:55we haven't had Hilary Duff in a very long time.
01:59And she even also, you know, on page six, we talked about the Lizzie McGuire show that
02:05kind of never happened.
02:06Yeah.
02:07They filmed two episodes for Disney Plus and then just pulled the plug on it.
02:11And, you know, Hilary talked about that, you know, probably part of promoting her new
02:15music.
02:16She said, yeah, I wanted it to be what a 30-year-old actually goes through, social media, relationships
02:22and all.
02:22And Disney was like, we're kind of hoping you'd still be, you know, Lizzie McGuire,
02:26the kid.
02:27Teeny bopper.
02:27Yeah.
02:28Right.
02:29So we're ready.
02:30The world is ready for adult Lizzie McGuire.
02:32Yeah.
02:33Slash Hilary Duff, I think.
02:34I feel like the mature song sounds like a mature Disney channel star.
02:38Like, it sounds like a song that Lizzie McGuire back in the day would have made now.
02:43I like that.
02:44It's like, don't get me wrong.
02:45I'm leaving my teeny bopper days behind, but I'm still a pop girl.
02:49And hence the title of the song.
02:51She's like, but now I'm mature.
02:52We've also seen some beloved brands, beloved movies, having sequels coming kind of out of
02:58nowhere.
02:59Yeah.
02:59Toy Story 5 dropped a teaser trailer.
03:03Yeah.
03:04There's always a new adventure for those toys.
03:05There's always a new kid that needs a toy.
03:07Listen, I was a big Toy Story kid, so I love to see it come back.
03:12And I see a lot of people who are like, leave your kids at home.
03:14This is for the millennials.
03:15This is for the grown-ups.
03:16The average audience member is going to be 35 years old.
03:20Literally.
03:201,000%.
03:21Literally.
03:21I thought it was super cool, though, how they kind of made the iPad the villain.
03:24Because, you know, we always talk about these iPad kids now and like how you put an iPad
03:28in your kid's hand by two years old.
03:30And it's insane.
03:31Yeah.
03:32Screen time is the villain of the movie.
03:34I know.
03:35They're all like clutching their pearls.
03:36I kind of love that.
03:37No, I loved it.
03:38I was not a Toy Story kid and I was not really that excited to watch this trailer.
03:41And then I saw it and I was like, oh, that is so genius.
03:44Like, what is the biggest enemy of a toy?
03:46The iPad.
03:47Because like, I don't even know if my kids, my like little cousins and stuff know the word
03:50toy.
03:51They're like iPad, iPad, iPad.
03:53That's all they know in Roblox.
03:54That's, or Roblox, whatever.
03:55Roblox.
03:57What's your beef with Toy Story?
03:58I don't have any beef.
03:59I just didn't really, I was like a cheetah girl type of girl.
04:02I was the same way.
04:03I was doing choreography.
04:04I was learning one, two steps.
04:05I was like right into the toys.
04:07But it's not a bad movie.
04:07Yeah, same.
04:07I was at a Big Ham, Montana, High School Musical type of girl.
04:10What's funny though, is like we said goodbye to Toy Story when all the toys in my mind
04:14held hands and looked into the fire and were ready to just accept their fate of going to
04:20the incinerary, you know?
04:21And I was like, okay, I've said my piece.
04:23I was like crying watching, what was that?
04:25Toy Story 3 or 4?
04:26Something like that.
04:27Who knows?
04:28I was ready to close the book on Toy Story.
04:31And yet, Toy Story 5, they're going to keep making them.
04:34Yep.
04:34Oh yeah.
04:35There's always a new story to tell and always a new kid.
04:38Why was I crying to you?
04:39I was also crying.
04:41Well, the moment when they held hands and just accepted their fate, they're like, we
04:44can't fight this.
04:45We are going to be melted.
04:47And all of us are grown watching it in the...
04:49In tears.
04:51But I think the iPad message that is kind of like, that's something like yeah, millennials
04:56who are now parents can relate to that struggle.
04:58It's like, oh, I'm just going to give my kid the iPad, but also like they can't pay attention
05:01to their actual toys.
05:02So I like how that kind of relates to the older audience, but obviously the whole Toy Story
05:07kid movie makes it entertaining for the kid.
05:10Oh, for sure.
05:11Yeah.
05:12And ironically, kids are going to be watching this movie on their iPad in the backseat on
05:17a road trip to Orlando, Florida.
05:18Yep.
05:19To go to Disney World.
05:21Yep.
05:21It all just, you know, it's all one big circle.
05:24Well, you know, there always comes the product too.
05:26So maybe they'll get a little Andy toy or something.
05:30Or even a game on the App Store.
05:31Who knows?
05:32How old is Andy now?
05:33What is he?
05:3357?
05:34Yeah.
05:34He's 300 years old, obviously.
05:37No, but they just came out with an Easy Bake Oven.
05:39So toys are coming back like the old toys.
05:41I used to love an Easy Bake Oven.
05:42That little light bulb.
05:43I can make you a mean cookie out of that Easy Bake Oven.
05:46I played with G.I.
05:47Joes and Barbies.
05:48They were friends.
05:49In fact, as a, you know, little gay kid, I would take the Barbie and I would, they were
05:54often the villains, you know, dominating over the G.I.
05:58Joes because the Barbies are twice the size.
05:59Yeah.
06:00Yeah.
06:00So I always, you know, I loved, you know, pitting them against each other.
06:04So fun.
06:04Yeah.
06:04Well, we played with toys.
06:05So.
06:06Yeah.
06:06Things are different now.
06:07We also like to do, or at least for me, I loved like dress up games and shit like that.
06:11Obsessed.
06:11So another one of the shows that are coming back that, you know, have really kind of revolutionized
06:17fashion or people's look, outlook on fashion would definitely be like Devil's Wears Prada.
06:22My favorite movie.
06:24Devil's Wears Prada 2, the teaser trailer.
06:26We got a close-up of those red, are those Louboutins?
06:29They might as well be.
06:30Red stilettos with like good studs.
06:33We find out.
06:34The clocker, she's a clocker.
06:35The clockers are back.
06:36The clockers are back.
06:36It's morning to Priestley in the elevator.
06:38We see Anne Hathaway.
06:39We see people running out of her way.
06:40She's still ferocious, but the only one that could get her to move out of her way is Andy.
06:44Andy's back.
06:46She's got her shades on.
06:46She's met her match.
06:47She said, took you long enough.
06:48They're like on equal footing now.
06:50It's like a whole new thing.
06:51I think she's coming back now to fight the death of the print industry.
06:54That's like what the kind of new theme is.
06:56So I'm excited to see how that works.
06:57Toy Story's got the iPad.
06:58Yeah.
06:59Runway Magazine is going under.
07:00I love that it's called Runway Magazine, but we know it's Vogue.
07:03It's Vogue.
07:04And what's the song that's playing in the teaser?
07:06Come on, Vogue.
07:07Madonna's Vogue.
07:09And that's an homage to the scene of her, like, you see her outfits in the first movie.
07:14A makeover montage?
07:16Please.
07:17There's nothing better.
07:17And no one does it like Anne Hathaway.
07:19No one does it like Anne Hathaway.
07:20I just rewatched it.
07:22The brown leather trench, honey.
07:23And then the scene ends where she's on top of her game.
07:27She's putting the magazines on Miranda Priestley's desk.
07:30And she comes in.
07:31She's on the phone and she looks at her.
07:32She just smiles like she finally got a little bit of approval from Miranda from the Miranda
07:36Priestley.
07:37And in real life, Anna Wintour has picked her successor.
07:41Yeah.
07:42Yeah.
07:42You know, which is so this is kind of these two stories are parallel, I think.
07:46They are.
07:47But what's so interesting, though, is like people are kind of shading Anna Wintour's successor
07:50for not being like the stylish hip girl.
07:53But then you see like Anne Hathaway's character had to kind of.
07:56Oh, yeah.
07:56She had to learn.
07:57Yeah.
07:57This stuff.
07:58This stuff.
07:59Right.
08:00Yeah.
08:01Cerulean.
08:02Cerulean.
08:02Shall I do the Cerulean scene all over again?
08:04I can.
08:05So, yeah, I know.
08:07It is a parallel scene happening at the same time.
08:09Another kind of parallel is the Met.
08:10So this is coming out May 1st, 2026.
08:13The Met Gala is just three days later.
08:15And so they're going to be re-showing kind of the Met Gala in the movie.
08:19And then the real thing we get a couple days later.
08:21I'm so excited to see.
08:22And I'm sure the outfits for them both are going to be sickening.
08:24Oh, yeah.
08:25I mean, we've already seen a few.
08:26Like, yeah, I wonder how one will influence the other.
08:29Like, will there be any, like, scenes that are kind of mimicked out on the Vogue carpet?
08:33Like, I'm just curious how that'll all work out.
08:35Well, I know there was one moment that, you know, Meryl Streep, the Meryl Streep, had to skip Selena Gomez's wedding because she was filming Devil's Prada 2 over in Italy.
08:45And so she was at, you know, Milan Fashion Week.
08:48And they were using the real fashion set up, the real, you know, runways to kind of to double as a scene from Devil's Prada 2.
08:55So we know at least there's a scene somewhere in some high fashion, you know, deliciousness.
08:59Can't wait.
09:00I mean, we definitely saw Meryl Streep and Anna Wintour in the same building.
09:04So maybe Anna Wintour might be showing, you know, giving us a little cameo.
09:08That'll be weird.
09:08I don't think they should ever, they shouldn't exist in the same universe.
09:11I know.
09:12It's, like, too weird.
09:13It's, like, delicious, though.
09:14Like, I hate it, but I love it.
09:15I want to watch it.
09:16Like, I just want to see how it would work.
09:17I mean, there's been interviews.
09:18They've joked about it before.
09:19And I think it, for me, it's one of those things, like, Devil Wears Prada is my favorite movie of all time.
09:24Same.
09:24So it's, like, will it be as good?
09:27Probably not.
09:28But I think, like, with any reboot, we love the nostalgia of it, and that's why we keep watching it.
09:33And do you know what I appreciate?
09:34In the teaser, they said Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt, Academy Award nominee Stanley Tucci.
09:44A lot has happened since this movie came out.
09:47Like, Stanley Tucci just was nominated for Conclave a year ago.
09:50So, like, his career is, you know, he's been around for a while, you know, and his career is, like, still hot, you know?
09:57So I think, like, I have hope.
09:59I think this movie could be as good.
10:01It won't be better than the original, but I think I could be on the same footing as the original.
10:05I mean, it's packed with guest stars.
10:07Paige DeSorbo, our queen from Ghibli Squad and from Summer House will be on there.
10:11But also, there's, I mean, who else?
10:13There's going to be lots of guest stars.
10:14Do you guys know any of them?
10:15There was one that was really super high, like Anna Wintour's A Possible Rumor.
10:19Which would be huge.
10:20It would.
10:21It would be huge.
10:22I can't even remember the rest of them, but it's going to be an action-packed situation.
10:25Yeah, but the guest stars can take you, take me out of it.
10:28Out of it, yeah.
10:28You know, I remember Austin Powers 3 was just, like, every five seconds they were, like, Tom Cruise is here.
10:34Yeah.
10:34You know, and so suddenly you're, like, it just becomes a revolving door of A-listers, you know?
10:38Yeah.
10:39So, you know, I hope there's a real movie baked in there somewhere.
10:42Yeah.
10:43I hope so.
10:44I mean, we really want it to be great.
10:45Yeah.
10:46Oh, yeah.
10:46We're all rooting for this movie, especially me.
10:48Yes.
10:49It's actually me.
10:49All right, so comeback season.
10:50It's cuffing season.
10:52It's comeback season.
10:53It's great.
10:54Nothing to complain about.
10:55Yeah, I mean, listen, we're moving into cuffing season, as you say.
10:59It's coming into wintertime, and that's really when people kind of get their bodies together.
11:03Yeah.
11:03And so Amy Schumer has recently deleted all of her photos on Instagram after she posted
11:10this, like, sexy photo of her in this red Valentino dress looking amazing, and the people
11:16are, like, why did you delete all of your photos?
11:18But I'm with her.
11:19Like, girl, get rid of your past.
11:20It's like, this is a new future for her.
11:22She's on Manjaro.
11:22She lost 30 pounds.
11:24She looks great.
11:25Yeah.
11:25And she's also, it's been a long journey for her on these weight loss medications because
11:29the first couple rounds, she was nauseated by them.
11:34Yeah.
11:34She talked to Howard Stern about it and said, maybe it's not for me, you know?
11:37Yeah.
11:37She's throwing up a ton.
11:39She went through a lot.
11:40Yeah.
11:40Yeah.
11:40So I know she did speak out because obviously a lot of media outlets were like, why would
11:45you delete them?
11:46People were calling her out.
11:47She did do a follow-up post saying, like, to all the media outlets out there, I love my
11:52body.
11:53I love the way I looked at it before.
11:54I didn't delete my Instagram pictures because I want to erase my past.
11:59I mean, she's always been known to be a big advocate for body positivity and she wants
12:04to make that clear and she still wants to be that person for people.
12:08Yeah.
12:08And if she was deleting them from her Instagram, I mean, they're on the internet.
12:10So it's not like that was ever going to do anything.
12:12Oh my God.
12:12Yeah.
12:13She's Googleable.
12:14Yeah.
12:14Absolutely.
12:15Nothing is ever fully gone for Amy Schumer.
12:18Yeah.
12:18Listen, those new photos, it was kind of giving influencer a little bit though.
12:21Yeah.
12:21Like she was looking really good.
12:22Oh yeah.
12:23And she still was making us laugh with the captions and stuff.
12:26So I was like, she's still a funny girl, but she's just a little more snatched.
12:29Nothing wrong with that.
12:30Oh my God.
12:30Yeah.
12:30She looked gorgeous before.
12:31She looks gorgeous now.
12:33Absolutely.
12:33There's nothing wrong with it.
12:34And she's always been so, you know, open about her health journey, you know, like she'll
12:38get on Instagram, no makeup in her car and talk about how she's taking hormones now.
12:43Oh my God.
12:44Yeah.
12:44She's like, I didn't even realize I was perimenopausal, took some hormones.
12:48She's like, my sex drive is up, my skin, my, my skin cleared up.
12:52Like I'm feeling more energy.
12:53I mean, she's talking about these issues, you know, at age 40 something that like a lot
12:58of women aren't talking about online because they want everything to be picture perfect.
13:01So she, first of all, she didn't delete these photos.
13:04She probably archived them.
13:05Yeah.
13:05They're there.
13:05Oh yeah.
13:06They're there.
13:06They can come back.
13:08She can always bring them back.
13:09I delete, I archive photos, bring them back all the time.
13:11It means nothing.
13:12I mean, it must be weird though.
13:15If you go through, you know, a, a big drastic body transformation to then like open up your
13:20phone and see what you look like two years ago.
13:23It must be a little jarring.
13:25You're like, wait, that's not what I, you know, it's not how I see in the mirror.
13:27And honestly, like body dysmorphia is a big thing.
13:29So, you know, like even seeing some of those old pictures could like bring back feelings
13:34or thoughts of like, oh my God, like, am I smaller?
13:36Like, do I need to get smaller?
13:37Do I need to lose more weight?
13:38Like, that's a real thing.
13:39And she talks about how having children, you know, made it even more difficult for
13:44her to, you know, snap back as they say.
13:46She said that, you know, I think she had a, uh, a C-section and there was a complications.
13:51And so I think, um, you know, she's just been open about it and she's being open about this
13:56next step too, which is great.
13:58Yeah.
13:59Yeah.
13:59We love Amy.
14:00We love Amy.
14:00We love her transparency.
14:01That's all brand.
14:02She's not going to let that go.
14:04And can I just say, I loved two shows ago.
14:06She has a lot of TV shows and movies and, you know, you can watch anything with Amy
14:10Schumer, but I loved Life and Beth.
14:12It's about, um, how she met her character meets this kind of awkward farmer husband.
14:18Yeah.
14:18And it's sort of based on her real life husband, who's a celebrity chef, but he's on the autism
14:23spectrum.
14:24And the show explores this like, kind of romance rom-com thing between like someone
14:30who is, you know, very much not autistic, Amy Schumer character.
14:33She's sarcastic.
14:34She's, you know, hilarious.
14:36And then this guy who is so literal, not ironic at all.
14:39And it is this great like love story.
14:42And I highly recommend it.
14:43It's on Hulu.
14:44I loved it.
14:45I'm a fan.
14:46So, you know, at any size, at any look, it's Amy Schumer.
14:51It's her brain that makes her what we love about her.
14:54It's her sense of humor.
14:55It's her jokes.
14:56It's her writing.
14:57Yeah.
14:57Yeah.
14:58That was very well played.
14:59That was.
15:00I hope Amy sees this.
15:04We love Amy.
15:05We love Amy.
15:06Did you know in 2020, I did, I looked this up.
15:09Amy actually, her ex-boyfriend was living with her and her now husband for a little while.
15:15All three of them?
15:16All three of them were living together.
15:18Oh, yeah.
15:18Oh, my God.
15:18Yeah.
15:19That would be an interesting, an interesting situation.
15:21But it kind of brings me to the point of Vogue's recent article that they released about embarrassing
15:26boyfriends.
15:27Oh, my God.
15:28This viral article.
15:29Oh, yeah.
15:29It took over the world.
15:30It was republished in Vogue Germany.
15:32It's all over my For You page.
15:34Oh, yeah.
15:34It's everywhere.
15:35And the girls were talking about it before this Vogue article.
15:37They're late to the party, honey, honestly.
15:38I read the article.
15:41I'm still a little confused.
15:42What is embarrassing about having a boyfriend?
15:45I think it's more if you have a loser boyfriend who does not support you, anytime you thrive,
15:50he feels threatened.
15:51That's embarrassing.
15:52Yes.
15:52And I think another part of it, too, is that I feel like it used to be considered a status
15:57symbol to be a relationship for women, where for now, it's not.
16:01We're in the de-centering men age of things.
16:04Sorry to you, too.
16:05We love you.
16:06Yeah.
16:06But we are in the de-centering men and centering yourself, so if your whole personality online
16:11becomes your boyfriend, we don't want to hear about it.
16:13It's embarrassing if your whole personality is your boyfriend.
16:15If your identity is your relationship, that's embarrassing.
16:18Yeah.
16:18And you guys haven't seen the epidemic of, like, you'll go on a date with a man and it'll
16:21just be the hand.
16:22You'll just be at dinner and you'll know there is a man across from me.
16:25You just can't see his face because literally until the person is getting engaged or married,
16:29they won't put the man on.
16:31So it's cringe to do, like, a hard launch and post a million pictures, a couple pictures.
16:37Instead, the soft launch.
16:38A soft launch.
16:39We love a soft launch.
16:39Demure.
16:40We love keeping it tasteful.
16:41Yeah.
16:42We love to be tasteful.
16:43Like, instead, like, it should be more like your brand is yourself and not as much as,
16:48Oh yeah, I have a boyfriend.
16:49But it shouldn't be the main thing that you have a boyfriend.
16:51It's not your whole identity.
16:52That's what makes it embarrassing.
16:54We don't want to Carrie Bradshaw and Big the situation.
16:56No.
16:56You know what I mean?
16:57We want to kind of have a little bit of separation between who we are and who this person is.
17:00Exactly.
17:00Well, speaking of, you know, Carrie Bradshaw, you know, I, of course, hate watched and just
17:05like that.
17:05I feel like Aiden was an embarrassing boyfriend for this, like, you know, for the Sex and
17:10the City reboot, it's like Carrie had moved on.
17:13She has this great life, you know, she was a, she was a widow as they had tackled in season
17:18one, but here she is like podcast, author, you know, she has a beautiful apartment.
17:23Aiden felt like such a backward step for her and it ended up, you know, ending catastrophically.
17:31But I think that was a good example in pop culture of just like a boyfriend that just
17:34doesn't live up to the icon of Carrie Bradshaw.
17:37I mean, even in the original show, Burger is 100,000% her worst boyfriend.
17:44Like, yeah, his book didn't work out and that sucks, whatever.
17:49But she got this big check and she spent it on a Prada shirt for him because of her success
17:54with her book.
17:55And he got all weird about the Prada shirt.
17:56I'm like, take the Prada shirt.
17:59What's wrong with that?
18:00We're going back in the archives.
18:02I love it.
18:02When we were just talking about Devil Wears Prada,
18:04Andy's boyfriend was so harsh.
18:08She literally said, I'm going to be in this high pressure job for a year.
18:14Just hold it down for a year.
18:15And God forbid she's good at it.
18:17I know.
18:18You want to make your grilled cheese sandwiches so bad,
18:20just let her go follow her dream.
18:21You'll make them in a year.
18:23Relax.
18:23It was so annoying.
18:24And then at the end, he ended up taking this prestigious chef job in Boston.
18:28In Boston.
18:29So he's allowed to pursue his career, but not the other way around.
18:31Oh, yeah.
18:32And he would hate on her being like, it's not like, you know, you're saving the world.
18:37Neither are you.
18:37Right.
18:38You're trying to be a bougie chef.
18:40And it being played by Adrian Grenier was so perfect.
18:43The entourage guy.
18:45You know, because he's just like, he is very pretty.
18:48Oh, yeah.
18:48And maybe that's about it.
18:50It's giving a little, you know, someone who came up in the news this week,
18:53because he's one of the faces of GQ.
18:55Yeah.
18:55Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift's ex.
18:57I thought he was sort of an embarrassing boyfriend for her.
19:00She's upgraded to Travis Kelsey.
19:02Yeah.
19:02Who supports her.
19:03Travis hypes her.
19:03He's great.
19:03He supports her.
19:04He's number one cheerleader.
19:05Yep.
19:05You know, Joe was dating Taylor for four years and never showed up, you know.
19:11Yeah.
19:12Where Travis, he's like, I'm all in.
19:14You want me to be on stage?
19:15You want me to be in the audience?
19:16I'll do whatever I can to support you and be your biggest cheerleader.
19:20Yeah.
19:20And she does the same for him.
19:21I think it's a great dynamic.
19:23Well, who are some more like embarrassing boyfriends?
19:25Because I can, I mean, Stefan Dix is kind of embarrassing.
19:27Oh, brother.
19:29He's cute, but he's complicated.
19:31He has a messy personal life.
19:33Yeah.
19:34Like recently, there was a woman who said that she had had a baby by him,
19:38and he was at first denying the paternity of the child.
19:41And now recently, she got a paternity test, and it is his child.
19:45Poor Cardi.
19:46I know.
19:47She can't catch a break.
19:47She hard launched.
19:48This is part of the problem.
19:50She hard launched a relationship.
19:51It's like a curse.
19:52And then three days later, all these stories came out.
19:55It's so embarrassing.
19:56They're sitting on a boat.
19:57Their legs are entangled.
19:59They look so hot together.
20:00And then it was like, pfft.
20:02But I feel like with Cardi's hard launch came the baby bump.
20:05Like, it was not short after that.
20:07It was like, oh, I'm already pregnant.
20:08And she got on Instagram Live, and she quoted Shirley Brown's woman-to-woman song,
20:13where she's like, hello, Barbara, this is Shirley.
20:15And she's like, that's your baby daddy, bitch.
20:18That's my baby daddy, too.
20:19And she's like laughing about it and making it a whole thing.
20:22That would not be a lot of matter for me, but that's just me, though.
20:25It's funny when it's not you.
20:27Yeah.
20:27Right.
20:27And it's not like Cardi doesn't have a messy, you know, ex situation with Offset.
20:31It's not like Cardi doesn't have enough money to take care of all this.
20:33She's like, honey, I am not concerned.
20:34She doesn't need them.
20:35They might have all these sperm donors at this point.
20:36I do just hate that she's in the middle of this amazing rollout for this iconic album
20:40and, like, that's taking over the headlines.
20:42That shouldn't be taking over the headlines.
20:44Something else taking over the headlines surrounding Cardi is Nikki
20:47and that whole beat that they had a couple of weeks ago, if you recall.
20:50But also, Nikki's another one with an embarrassing boyfriend or a partner or a husband.
20:54Same kind of criminal territory at this point.
20:56Criminal territory at this point.
20:58Yeah, so she's like, I mean, all these girls are just trying to live their best lives
21:01and then the men around them are just messing it up for them left and right.
21:04For super successful women, it's hard to find an equal match.
21:07I know.
21:07And I mean, Taylor's a great example of someone.
21:09It's like, once you dump your loser boyfriend, you thrive.
21:12I mean, look at Paige DeSorbo.
21:14Paige DeSorbo.
21:14When she dumped Craig, she's got her pajama line.
21:18She's on Jimmy Fallon.
21:19She's on Hoda and Jenner.
21:20She's a New York Times bestseller.
21:22She's in the Devil Wears Prada as well.
21:23Like, it's just like, I think the moral of the story with this whole Vogue article is like,
21:29don't settle for your loser boyfriends.
21:31Even Ciara and Russell Wilson.
21:33Like, she was with Future, who had a million kids, and then she decided to have a child
21:36with him, and then he goes off and continues to do whatever he was doing prior to.
21:40Yeah.
21:40And now she's left him.
21:41She has a beautiful husband, a beautiful family, and it's like, she's still, you know.
21:46She's the face of, like, the perfect marriage now.
21:49So it's like, you see what can happen when you leave your losing boyfriend.
21:50It's embarrassing when they hold you back.
21:52It's not embarrassing to have a boyfriend.
21:54It's embarrassing to have a partner that holds you back.
21:56So is that what happened with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom?
21:59Like, were they holding, was he holding her back?
22:02Like, was he the embarrassing boyfriend or is she the embarrassing girlfriend?
22:05You know, like...
22:08It doesn't go the other way.
22:09This is a double standard.
22:11Exactly.
22:12Exactly.
22:13Yeah, because we have heard of, like, someone being a wife guy, you know.
22:17And this is a guy whose entire personality is supporting his wife and praising his wife.
22:21I see no issue.
22:22Yeah.
22:23It's true, because, you know, it's more of a feminist thing.
22:25You know, Miles Teller's sort of a wife guy.
22:27He's like, I love Kelly.
22:28She's my best friend.
22:29You know, he's, like, crying about it.
22:30So I think, like, you can have a wife guy, but you can't have a boyfriend girl.
22:35That becomes a...
22:36It feels like a little 1950s.
22:39Yeah.
22:39I mean, even Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, that whole thing, that wind...
22:42Tell us, Lauren.
22:43What happened?
22:44So pretty much, for those who do not follow all the headlines, it's pretty much, like,
22:49for, like, a week or so, it was all over.
22:51Kristen Bell, she posted for their anniversary, and it was something along the lines of...
22:56You can correct me if I'm wrong, but she posted for their anniversary, to the man who once
23:01told me, like, most men would have killed their wives by now.
23:05Basically said, to the man who told me, I will never kill you.
23:09I will never kill you.
23:10I had many reasons why, but I never did it.
23:12And sort of this...
23:13So sweet.
23:14No.
23:16It's a dark joke.
23:17It's a dark joke.
23:18He also said, even though I'm heavily incentivized to kill you.
23:22Important part.
23:23Even, like, previous interviews resurfaced of him saying things like that.
23:28Yeah, well, I think he was saying he was generally insecure, but except for when he's in relationships,
23:33he feels very arrogant, like, he's the prize.
23:35Now, I have an issue with this I'm the prize business, because we had the same thing with
23:38Simone Biles, and her boyfriend...
23:41When, let's be honest, I didn't even know she was married before that interview.
23:43Well, he claimed he didn't know she was an Olympic athlete when they matched.
23:48I'm like, right, right.
23:49She put in his DMs, and it's, like, all about, oh, I only responded, and she was the one that
23:53was kind of thirsty for me, sir.
23:54Yeah, she is, like, the most decorated Olympian almost in history.
23:57He might be the most embarrassing one of all, as we are saying it out loud.
24:00Oh, my God.
24:01Even now, it's like, yeah, no one knew who you were.
24:04People know Simone Biles.
24:05I still know nothing about her husband, other than he said that I'm the prize in an interview.
24:10She's lucky to have me.
24:13That's the only thing I know about you is that you said that.
24:14That's what that is.
24:15But also, like, I feel like Simone kind of was a little embarrassing with the response, too,
24:19because she was kind of, like, I don't know, she kind of, like, gave in to the fact that
24:22he didn't know about her, and just, I don't know, like, it just became a little weird.
24:26Oh, she was supposed to be by her man.
24:28It takes two to tango, yeah.
24:29She's like, we're married, I have no choice.
24:31She said, I'm going to stick beside him.
24:33I'm going to stick beside him.
24:34That's what she's going to do, despite us all yelling at her like, no.
24:37No, girl.
24:38I think the lesson here is just, you know, don't put every single thing on social media,
24:43you know?
24:43Yeah.
24:44You can be obsessed with your boyfriend or girlfriend.
24:46I hope you're in love.
24:47I hope you're, you know.
24:48Absolutely.
24:49But you don't have to live it all so publicly, because it will come back to haunt you.
24:54Yeah.
24:54Someone will put their foot in their mouth.
24:56Someone will say something, an awkward joke or an awkward comment.
24:59And it's like, that's when you go into this embarrassing boyfriend territory.
25:03And good for Vogue for getting this viral article, you know, we're all talking about it.
25:07Oh, yeah.
25:08Now, it might make people in real life, you know, respect, be a little bit more respectful
25:12and try it a little bit more carefully.
25:14Yeah.
25:14Yeah.
25:15Put the iPads down, pick the toys up.
25:18That's right.
