A Premier League classic from the final day of the 1999/2000 season, where all the drama came at the bottom. Watford were already down and Sheffield Wednesday joined them after failing to beat Arsenal, leaving one relegation place left between Wimbledon and Bradford.
Wimbledon had the edge on goal difference as they travelled to Southampton, while Bradford faced a huge test at home to Champions League-chasing Liverpool needing to better Wimbledon's result.
What followed became Premier League folklore, with Barry Davies and John Motson guiding you through every twist of an unforgettable afternoon.

00:01A warm summer's day to decide the final outcome of winter and the rewards which await tomorrow.
00:09It's another capacity crowd at Valley Parade with hope and nervous tension mixed in properly equal measures.
00:19The final choices of a Scouser and a Frenchman after a disappointing performance in their last matches show in total five changes.
00:31Paul Jewell promotes two substitutes with Laurence and Sharp in the Brantford City line-up in the places of Jacobs and Blake.
00:41Gerard Houllier brings in Michael Owen and Steven Gerard and Dietmar Harmon.
00:47Back to the probable disappointment of the watching Kevin Keegan, there is no place in the squad for Robbie Fowler.
00:55Amid the hyperbole of sport, it should be remembered that this is a city which is well capable of putting sport in perspective.
01:06And before the match, there will be a one minute silence for the 56 people who died in the fire tragedy here 15 years ago.
01:36And away we go, with the referee Dan McCulloch of Banbury.
01:43Bradford playing from right to left.
01:48The first shot of the matches from Dean Winders.
01:52The goals of late have given Bradford the opportunity which they hope to take today.
02:01Right underneath that one.
02:06But the wrong way!
02:09That's a little fortune up with the rebound there.
02:28Head for low in.
02:30Stole behind him.
02:31They're in, they're stall behind you.
02:38Gerard.
02:42Heskey.
02:44They're in.
02:55Caraga.
02:56Gerard.
03:01O'Brien and Heskey.
03:08A good start for O'Brien.
03:11Jeremy Lawrence.
03:13Part of all the card rules are there.
03:18Intensive look from both in charge.
03:23Bergen.
03:25McCourt.
03:26All right.
03:36Harmon.
03:42Big kick for the challenge.
03:43And Bradford.
03:48Winning a lot of ball so far.
03:51Putting Liverpool under some pressure on that left side.
03:54Liverpool's left.
03:58Five.
03:59Now six in attacking positions.
04:01Haller with the free kick.
04:02Cylinders near side.
04:03And that is a wonderful goal.
04:05And it's scored by Wetheroff.
04:07Just completely lost his marker.
04:09And just look at the reaction.
04:10It's only a start.
04:11It's only a start.
04:12But it's a pretty useful start.
04:13Especially against a team who have been struggling to score in late.
04:17He took the centre position.
04:18Saunders right side.
04:19And there was no challenge on him at all.
04:20And the head lane, he took the centre position.
04:25Saunders was right side.
04:26Several field away left.
04:28And there was no challenge on him at all.
04:29But it's a pretty useful start, especially against the team who've been struggling to score at late.
04:38He took the centre position, Saunders was right side, several foot away left, and there was no challenge on him at all, and the header had great power.
04:54Not well defended, certainly well attacked.
04:59So a great start for Bradford, could Wimbledon match it? The Dons were without Hartson, Cunningham and Hughes. We join the first half action at the Dell with John Motson.
05:12Wimbledon with Thatcher at left back and Kimball in front of him.
05:17And Wimbledon in trouble straight away and a good chance straight away and a good save by Sullivan.
05:23And scramble clear.
05:25Look back at the record of matches played here at the Dell between these two sides. The majority have finished in draws and that may or may not be enough for Wimbledon today.
05:38Eight of the 13 league meetings here have ended all square.
05:48This is Hassan Kaxlour for Southampton.
05:50Oh danger there!
05:51And somehow Haridison did enough. Haridison just got there ahead of Oakley.
06:02It's a hard beat Court. It was knocked back in by Kimball. This is York.
06:14It's Kimball again. Three waiting in the centre. Oh, it was too long for Court. Haridison half on it. Back in by Haridison.
06:18Made something out of nothing there. Cross here really ain't nothing for a card Court. He couldn't get it. And Haridison with the one and then the two.
06:34Wimbledon enjoying more of the game now.
06:44This is Pahaz. Now.
06:48Tessam with the cross. Kaxlour coming in on it here. Oh, and very close again for Pahaz.
06:54He had that early shot, but Sullivan saved so well. And he was nearly in again there.
07:10That's on by Davis.
07:17Go on, Sean. Go on, Sean.
07:19Brilliant.
07:21Yes!
07:25Here's Yule.
07:29Jason Yule! Oh, that was a good effort.
07:31The best of the half so far. And he comes from Wimbledon.
07:35On 36 minutes.
07:38This is where Yule has made an impression.
07:45Really good shot on the turn.
07:54Davis is penalized here.
07:56And Wimbledon...
07:57Oh!
07:58Descent.
07:59Referee lodges.
08:01Warning Davis, who was arguing about the free kick.
08:05Hardly.
08:06There's Carl Court!
08:08And Moss has fumbled it.
08:09And somehow...
08:10It's Southampton who get the ball away hopefully.
08:11And then Davis challenged here by Blackwell.
08:12It's a free kick now to Southampton.
08:14But there was a moment when Neil Moss didn't quite get hold of that effort.
08:15Carl Court was close in there.
08:17Gets the volley.
08:18Oh, actually, it's a good save.
08:19Bearing in mind how close he was.
08:20And Moss deserved the luck when the ball came back off him.
08:21Had defenders on hand.
08:22And it's a good save.
08:23And Moss deserved the luck when the ball came back off him.
08:26And he had defenders on hand.
08:27And he had defenders on hand.
08:28to clear.
08:29It's Bridge with the free kick for Southampton.
08:30It's Bridge with the free kick for Southampton.
08:31And it's Bridge with the free kick for Southampton.
08:36And that's a good save.
08:40And Moss deserved the luck when the ball came back off him.
08:44And defenders on hand to clear.
08:47It's Bridge with the free kick for Southampton.
08:51Southampton.
09:04Early shot that Sullivan dealt with from Pahas.
09:09Wimbledon have held pretty firm at the back.
09:13And have probably created more incidents in the opposing
09:16penalty area than there have been in theirs.
09:21Which is the way they've got to play it.
09:24Certainly at this stage of the afternoon, Wimbledon.
09:27Oh, and Thatcher caught out by Korts-Bagpaz.
09:30It fell for Pahas.
09:31He's got Saltvet just inside him.
09:33Davies is there as well.
09:34It's a lovely run again by the Latvian.
09:37Paxlul takes over.
09:42Saltvet!
09:43Saltvet!
09:47What a bad effort by the 33-year-old Norwegian here.
09:52After Kakslul had set the player.
09:56Saltvet shot on the turn.
10:00Into the last five minutes of the first half.
10:02And it's been unceasing really.
10:05There hasn't been much in the way of delay or interruption.
10:09Davies.
10:15Hardly.
10:16Off the top.
10:21She's caught.
10:23Too long again for Gael.
10:29Oakley.
10:37Here's Pahas.
10:40Davies goes to the right.
10:41Right, again the two have switched.
10:51Now it's Dodd, and there are three in the middle here for Southampton.
11:03Chuck tangling with Saltlett in the corner there.
11:06Steve Lodge gives it Southampton's way.
11:13Cattrull's in there, so is Tahar.
11:17Tessam goes in as well.
11:20Oh, and Neil Sullivan did well to stretch and reach.
11:28He's done really well to hold on to that and keep it the right side of the line, the goalkeeper.
11:36Right, back to Valley Parade for the closing stages of the first half.
11:40Bradford lead 1-0.
11:47Windus.
11:49Bradford certainly not playing like the side.
11:52Struggling against relegation.
11:55No!
11:57Struggling hard and struggling well.
12:03Playing well would be better.
12:07Berger.
12:08Quickly in was Lawrence.
12:09Chance here.
12:11He sees the man to his right, which he does, and it's Windus.
12:15Oh!
12:17Probably got caught in two minds, whether to go for the shot or to look for Dean Zaunders.
12:21Jennifer Daphne.
12:23Horien.
12:24Horien.
12:30Merennap.
12:31Girard.
12:32Merennap.
12:33Horien makes one run.
12:36๊ฐ์ฌํฉ๋๋ค.
12:38Sevim.
12:39Yep.
12:42Bigrick.
12:43That's very well delivered.
12:46Windass receiving.
12:49Sharp making a move inside him.
12:51Saunders on the far side.
12:53Bigrick.
12:55And rather stupidly conceded.
13:02Looking for Onsho.
13:06Didn't need that.
13:09And the referee was right on the spot.
13:13Sliding the wall covering the right side.
13:16Ten yards off the wall.
13:19Unsymplicated by the circle.
13:20It's taken early but the referee will have it taken again.
13:23Because he wasn't ready.
13:26Whether he told them.
13:27One doesn't know.
13:32Expressions and attitudes.
13:33And body language of the Liverpool players.
13:36He's not seen what it should be.
13:38It's Windass again.
13:43It's well gathered in.
13:50Got through the wall.
13:52I saw what Steven Gerrard was doing left.
13:55Lent out of the wall.
13:58Matthew making a run on the left.
13:59ๅท offices.
14:03And the other one's tables.
14:06Tim Roth.
14:07You've got enough.
14:09In a set.
14:10And now.
14:10You've got enough.
14:11You've got enough money.
14:11You've got enough money.
14:13And now.
14:13You've got enough.
14:15And now.
14:15You've got enough money.
14:15Go away.
14:16and the place of the ball is too little
14:46oh
14:50Drea
14:53sharp
14:55the court
15:00the wind of salt left over here
15:05that's the best header that Heskey's made and it's put Erin in here
15:10and it's off the line
15:12by Heather
15:14did really well
15:17good to have to get back
15:21long ball from the back
15:23a good header
15:24got plenty of power in it
15:26and
15:27Erin got hold of the bounce
15:28but look at Hala's positioning here
15:30didn't get much of it
15:32but it was enough
15:35Erin's first chance
15:37and he was mightily close
15:40meanwhile at the dell we're into the second half
15:47where it's still 0-0
15:49it's in by Dodd and this is Pahaz
15:58Cachalul has made a run from left to right
16:01Pahaz goes himself and that's another foul on the edge of the area
16:04Kimball
16:08who's down on his haunches
16:11made the challenge
16:13and he's got a yellow card
16:16although I think he and Blackwell almost went in together here
16:19well they did
16:20Kimball was the one who the referee cautioned
16:23and it's going to be a free kick now
16:28only
16:29two or three yards outside the area
16:31Wayne Bridge with the left foot having a long look at this
16:34Tessam is there as well
16:42desperate times at the moment for Wimbledon
16:44Pahaz back on his feet
16:54Bridge is still waiting
16:56Cachalul is also there
16:57there's a bit of trickery
16:58but oh there's some pushing and shoving back there
17:00and Bridge takes it
17:01and it's in
17:02it's Wayne Bridge
17:03it's his first goal for Southampton
17:05and what has that done to Wimbledon and their future
17:10what a cracker with the left foot
17:14he drove it in off the underside of the bar
17:19and the youngster Wayne Bridge
17:2219 years old
17:25Southampton born
17:26he won't forget that moment in a hurry
17:28but on the day
17:29he might be the first to admit
17:31that it might do more damage
17:33to Wimbledon
17:34than what it actually achieves for Southampton
17:37and Wimbledon are now
17:39a goal behind
17:41but are they?
17:42Ewell coming in
17:43to a cross from Ardley
17:44they still are
17:45and they might need two goals now
17:47Wimbledon
17:48there was a little bit of distraction
17:51between Thatcher and the Southampton player
17:53as they prepare to take the free kick
17:55it's not looking good for Wimbledon
17:57Wimbledon now with it all to do
18:02could Liverpool lend them a hand?
18:04Gerrard
18:09Heskey
18:11whether it was Terence
18:17giving Sterling service
18:23huge roar
18:25as the goalkeeper makes an excellent save
18:37from Arid
18:38and the crowd had their minds on other things
18:41chanting
18:55we are staying up
18:56the crowd in party mood
18:59shadow away
19:06from the goalkeeper
19:08it's only partially so
19:09Harman puts it back
19:10Heskey at the back
19:11he definitely is more lively
19:15but definitely is more lively
19:36that's neatly done
19:39Drea, he's the old man of the party, and he might make something of this, and this is
19:50Lawrence, and this is Wynnes, oh they took an eternity, goodness me, half a season went
19:59by then, Drea initially maybe thought about going in alone, found Lawrence, no they wanted
20:08to take control of it, and Wynnes, instead of hitting it first time, allowed the challenge
20:15to come in from Mathieu.
20:19Don't forget, Wimbledon must at least match Bradford's result to stay up, we've reached
20:24the middle of the second half, and they're a goal down.
20:31This is Dodd, good touch, this is Tessam now, Joe Tessam, oh, screamer.
20:40Well, this Norwegian was signed in November, and he's played every game since his debut,
20:46he's scored four goals, and he's really brought some thrust to the Southampton midfield.
20:52Well, this capacity crowd of just over 15,000 in the smallest ground in the Premiership, mostly
21:03made up of Southampton supporters who would like to see their team end the season on a high note.
21:07Almost a novelty for them not to be involved in the scramble, here's Pajas, who's made Wimbledon
21:20scramble a few times today, Davis, again Pajas goes from the right into the middle, this is Oakley.
21:26Saltbett, Davis, Dodd, Pajas, they've got two to the left here, Southampton, the dummy finds Cashmool, and there's Tessam!
21:38Well, twice he's come close to making it 2-0.
21:44There were so many Southampton players over there, you lost count, but Wimbledon are having to throw everything in because of this panicky situation.
21:54This is Dodd, Lundeklar, Davis, warded off there by Haridison.
22:15Haridison carrying the ball forward, and here's Kors.
22:22Well, the attack in this second half particularly has lacked right Wimbledon for a side in as deep a water as they are at the moment.
22:37Here's Pajas, Davis, oh, Tessam's got through here!
22:55And that was a mighty close thing again, he's come very near three times now, Tessam getting in between two defenders to get the touch.
23:05And Southampton to make the change.
23:10It's Saltbeck coming off to be replaced by Chris Marsden in midfield.
23:22So still, relegation, staring Wimbledon in the face here, this is Kors.
23:39And it's Ardley trying to do something about it.
23:43And not failing by too much there, Neil Ardley.
23:48It was the lofted shot that could have just caught the goalkeeper a yard or two off his line.
23:53But Wimbledon need more than that just as the way things stand.
24:00This is Dodd.
24:16Well, I have to say at this stage of the second half that Wimbledon can consider themselves fortunate to be only one down.
24:29Tessam's been three times within a whisker of making it 2-0.
24:35Here's Jutt for Wimbledon.
24:37To Anderson.
24:40And still, Trond Anderson, the lofted ball in, Karl Court gets the flick, corner given.
24:50Defender up within was Tahar, though it must have come off.
24:55Now is there something left here for the club that have thunded their noses down the years at so many premiership sides?
25:03Ryderson's in there, Lund's in there.
25:09Court's there again.
25:11Anderson shoots, two defenders in the way in front of the goalkeeper.
25:15Anderson shoots again, his own player in the way.
25:17And now Pahaz on the break against Dean Blackwell.
25:20Thatch is trying to make the extra defender.
25:23It's still Pahaz.
25:25And he's beaten Blackwell.
25:27And he's scored the goal.
25:29That surely now looks like condemning Wimbledon to the first division of the nationwide.
25:36There are players slumped on the ground.
25:39And Marianne Pahaz, who started on the right, is coming to the centre to such devastating effect.
25:4716, Blackwell always here.
25:50And that's a quality finish, typical of the player.
25:54Has he finished Wimbledon's premiership life with that goal?
26:01With ten minutes to go here at the Dell.
26:04It's Wimbledon now in an impossible position, surely.
26:10Two down.
26:11And their supporters know what that means.
26:16They've got to rely on Liverpool.
26:22Amazing!
26:23If Liverpool can perform some sort of turnaround at Valley Parade, it might lift those heads.
26:37But it's looking unlikely.
26:38Because the way things stand here now, even a draw would be enough for Bradford City.
26:45And all that Wimbledon supporters can do is pray for the most latent of miracles elsewhere.
27:00Everything falling into place for Bradford.
27:02Providing, of course, they didn't let it slip against Liverpool.
27:15Not what Sharp intended.
27:17Nor what Heskey intended.
27:20They try and knew what he was doing.
27:23It's not plastic, but you couldn't expect that.
27:30It's such a tense atmosphere.
27:33Home crowd have played there, but...
27:39Mathieu.
27:44In an industry like that.
27:48They've never let Liverpool get into a stride that will take them into the Champions League.
27:59This is Schmitz.
28:04Early cross in.
28:05And...
28:06Oh, goodness me!
28:09And that's the second time that news has gone around the ground just at the moment when Liverpool have had an opportunity.
28:16It's a good early cross by Carragher and Owen clipped it just wide in the far post.
28:32And the camera platform is rocking because of the movement of the supporters around us.
28:39They're now feeling very confident.
28:41And another substitution they've made.
28:44This is Wayne Jacobs.
28:48And he's replaced Peter Figri.
28:58Here's Mathieu.
29:01Nine minutes and fifteen seconds and counting.
29:05A stoppage time.
29:06A stoppage time.
29:15And the players, where the Saints go marching in, draw inclusions alike.
29:20Heskip.
29:24That's a good block by Jacobs.
29:26He's troubled by the groin strain.
29:27Which is one of the reasons that he was left out.
29:29He now has gone into the more defensive position.
29:30A little sharp ahead of him, I expect.
29:31And Dominic Mathieu comes off for Liverpool.
29:32And in his stead comes the Dutchman Meyer.
29:35In an effort to end this goal drought.
29:36Erich Meyer into the action.
29:37In an effort to end this goal drought.
29:38Eric Meyer into the action.
29:39Dreyer's header, which wasn't...
30:04the action, Treja's header which wasn't where he wanted to put it, recalled it beautifully.
30:19They believe, they've seen plenty of drama here this season and apart from Manchester United,
30:28no team has really given Paul Jewell's side a run around here.
30:39Oh, he's got between the two of them, they've got to be careful.
30:43Wetherall to the rescue. Good play by Lennie Mierspizza.
30:49Bupia has gone forward, Omsho has gone forward.
30:57Desperate need for Liverpool.
31:00Draw for them might be enough. Look at this from McCall.
31:06Kerrigan. Vestivel with time to use it.
31:12Harmon.
31:15Camera.
31:18This is Sharp. This is Windes. This is Rankin.
31:24Oh, it's won!
31:27Oh dear. Agony upon agony.
31:31So near to safety, and what they feel here would be safety.
31:39Little chip was beautiful, except in its accuracy.
31:46OK, back to the dell. It's nearly full time. Wimbledon two down and desperate.
31:54Here's Pahaz. That's on by Davis, and that was Tessam. He does get into some good positions, the Norwegian midfield player.
32:06Helped on here by Kevin Davis, and Tessam again has split the two Wimbledon defenders.
32:13Now the announcement from the loudspeaker confirming there are three minutes of stoppage time here.
32:20That was Rodrigues to Oakley by a bridge.
32:25In it goes from Dodd. And now Pahaz. Oh, Tessam fired across, and Marsden should probably have made it 3-0.
32:40He applauds the cross from Tessam, who's had a terrific second half. Just picks this one up here from Pahaz, and that should have been in.
32:48And that should have been in. Caught.
32:59Hardly.
33:06Well, the day started with Wimbledon's fate in their own hands. It certainly isn't now.
33:11And on the evidence of the second half, Southampton good winners of this match.
33:28This is Damien Francis, and Lund is coming in here, but can't be any real power from that angle.
33:35And we look to be playing out the last lights here of Wimbledon's premiership passage.
33:55Rodrigues. It's a promising run by the Portuguese lad.
33:58Oh, Tessam deserves a goal, surely.
34:05He's had more attempts than anyone in the second half.
34:12Last minute here at the Del.
34:14Southampton, two. Wimbledon, nil.
34:17And no sign of any miracle from elsewhere.
34:19Here's Davies with Haridison.
34:32Here's Court.
34:34In fact, there's a flag up there for offside.
34:36There's a flag up there for offside.
34:37Here's ะดะพะผะพะน.
34:38Go!
34:39And the end, it would seem, of a 14-year dream
35:07But Terry Burton, it looks as though he's failed to save them
35:11Or they've failed to save themselves
35:13The final score at the Dell
35:15Is Southampton 2, Wimbledon 0
35:20Closing stages at Bradford
35:24They're almost there
35:33This is Wenders
35:34Attempting to find Wenders about off his line
35:40And came jolly close
35:41Made a very good run back for the old keeper
35:47But he had to
35:50And quickly
35:51The ball, not too much of a hurry
36:07A minute and a half
36:10Plus stoppage time
36:12Outside
36:15Against Wenders
36:16The title ัะตัั

36:33I think
36:33What are you doing?
36:34I think
36:35Come on
36:36Harmen, Orian trying to bundle his way through all game by Mac Clarke, 4th official in among
37:03management teams of both sides, it's not his decisions when the final whistle comes, but it's coming shortly, it's the three minutes on our stopwatch, Dermot Gallagher looks at his, and Brentford City is rocking, they believe they've done it, Gwyneth, what a fine attempt,
37:32good stop too, a very tight angle, here's Jamie Lawrence, will be here, the final whistle hasn't been blown yet, and some of the crowd are on the pitch,
37:47the final whistle hasn't gone, Mr Gallagher remaining very calm, but to coin a phrase, some people are on the pitch,
37:58they'll have to go over for a few more seconds to be played, an announcement at half time, please don't come on the pitch at the end,
38:09they're never going to stop them, we're coming pretty close to human touch lines as it is, plenty of officials to take people off,
38:17McCall, one of the calmest people around, and he has been all the match, and that has been a very telling factor,
38:33and the final whistle is blown, and on they come now, and they come on in celebration, they've heard the score from Southampton here,
38:43and they know that they are staying up, that's been the chant all the way through, they've found the performance they were looking for,
38:52a 1-0 victory has kept Paul Jewell's side in the Premiership, and they thoroughly deserve what they've achieved today,
39:01Gerard Houllier, his side disappointing again, came close towards the end of the first half,
39:08when Michael Owen had the ball cleared off the line, but in the end, not Liverpool's day,
39:14but certainly Bradford City's day, they've triumphed against the odds, it's a party for them,
39:20they win by one goal to nil, the scorer David Wetherell, and they remain in the Premiership.
39:33Wimbledon on the evidence of this match, well they were well beaten on the second half,
39:38can have no complaints, but it's over a season, and you have to start to wonder now whether certain players
39:43will be there when they go down into the Nationwide Division 1.
39:50There are scenes of support from their fans over on the far side, but they'll have had their radios on,
39:58and they'll know what's been happening at Bradford, and the Wimbledon players
40:02showing an air of resignation on the pitch here as they shake hands.
40:06moments in the first half, perhaps, when they looked as though they could take something from this game,
40:18but certainly after half-time, Southampton with goals by Bridge, and by Pahaz, and lots of near-misses,
40:26really took over, so that on the evidence of the last day, Wimbledon can surely have no complaints.
40:33Terry, Wimbledon have defied their critics for so long, why has relegation happened now, do you think?
40:42Well, when you get one point out of 30, then, you know, that's what happens, you end up in the bottom three of...
40:48But why has that happened? I mean, the recriminations, we'll talk about the Norwegian owners,
40:52and Egil Olsen's management, and Wimbledon, in a way, breaking faith with their traditions.
40:56Well, there'll be a lot of reasons why. You know, when you've had failure, the first thing you have to do is admit it,
41:03the second thing you have to do is learn from it, and the third thing you do is don't repeat it.
41:07Two small words, but they mean rather a lot, I think. Well done.
41:10Thank you. It's a delight to have everybody connected with the club.
41:13It's been a real rollercoaster, hasn't it?
41:16Yeah, it certainly has. It seems an awful long time ago, since about this time last year we got promotion.
41:21I think at the time someone said it was a great achievement, just getting up, and it'll be a miracle if we can stay up.
41:26And we've proved that miracles can happen if you work hard enough.
41:29The last time I saw you was at Goodison Park, and you were as depressed as you possibly could be,
41:33but you turned up for the interview as ever.
41:34I said to you then, maybe your run will come at the right time.
41:37Three wins and a draw in the last five. That's a championship form.
41:40Yeah, we're disappointed not to get into Europe, really, buddy.
41:43But, I mean, as I said before, the game today, and I've said all season,
41:46if the worst three teams in the league go down after 38 games and the refs can please themselves,
41:53then we deserve to stay up.
41:54Do you think there'll be much sympathy for Wimbledon?
41:57I'm not too sure, to be honest. I'm really not too sure.
42:00I think we've had a fairytale ride in the Premiership for the past 14 years.
42:03It's been a marvellous experience for the club in general and its supporters, obviously.
42:07This is going to be another chapter for the football club next year.
42:10Hopefully we can learn from our experiences this season, rally around each other in the closed season,
42:14and they're trying to start next season on as positive as that was possible.
42:18It did matter who scored. I know it's a cliche, but it did matter who scored.
42:22It's always pleasing to get a goal and to get such an important one.
42:26It's fantastic for me, but it's been a great team effort all season, really.
42:32We've had to play our best to get anything out of any game.
42:35There's been times where we've been off the boil a little bit and got a bit of a chasing,
42:40but we've worked hard on enough occasions, and the spirit that we've shown has seen us through in the end.
42:47It would take all the fun of it away if we did anything other than last day escapes.
42:52This is the fourth time in the last five years that we've managed it on the last day.
42:56But the Premiership needs the Bradford cities of this world, in my opinion.
43:00Well, it's very nice of you to say that, but you've got to, as a club, you've got to earn it.
43:06You've got to earn it, and it's over 38 games.
43:10I'd like to think, even had we gone down today, that we'd have quitted ourselves.
43:14I know we've made a lot of friends throughout the Premiership and football supporters throughout the land.
43:19But there's no sentiment in this game.
43:24Anything you get, you've got to earn, and I'd like to think that we've earned our survival.
43:30You've faced the musical season. I mean, now you can lead the band.
43:34I might be leading the band in a few hours, I don't know, but at the moment I feel absolutely shattered,
43:38and I'll probably be in bed by the time Matthew Day comes on tonight.
43:41But I'll definitely have to tape it.
