00:00A basin in Gaza that was originally meant for draining rainwater has, since the war, turned into a pool collecting sewage water, with solid waste piling up around its edges, making it a ticking time bomb for residents, according to officials, due to the health hazards it creates.
00:20The situation is worsening with the arrival of winter, especially since the infrastructure for all drainage networks has been completely destroyed.
00:29Along with the foul odors residents complain about, the accumulated waste has become a breeding ground for insects that carry multiple diseases, including skin and intestinal illnesses, as well as those that affect the respiratory system.
00:52We're talking about 2 million tons of waste untreated all across Gaza.
