Beatles Anthology (Walt Disney Pictures) Documentary The Beatles’ landmark “Anthology” documentary series has been restored and remastered.  The series’ original eight episodes trace the legendary journey that began in Liverpool and Hamburg and soon captivated the world. They bring to life the timeless stories — of Beatlemania, the band’s groundbreaking arrival in the USA, their role at the forefront of the 1960s counterculture, their spiritual exploration in India, and their eventual breakup. And through it all, the constant thread: the music, always the music.  There is now a completely new Episode Nine, including unseen behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George and Ringo coming together between 1994 and 1995 to work on “The Anthology” and reflecting on their shared life as The Beatles.  The restoration has been overseen by Apple Corps’ production team, working with Peter Jackson’s Wingnut Films & Park Road Post teams along with Giles Martin, who has created new audio mixes for the majority of the featured music.

00:15The Beatles were always a great little band.

00:22The anthology is as much of the history of The Beatles that we can get.

00:26We've heard it from everybody else, now you can hear it from us.

00:32You know, everybody got into the mania.

00:35The demand on us was tremendous.

00:39I had a really good time, but it was just getting all blended.

00:44Here are the Beatles!

00:46We played Shea Stadium twice.

00:48I thought we only played there once.

00:50How was it?

00:52The Beatles were bigger than any one of them.

00:57We never had much privacy.

01:00Everybody said, oh, there's more people here than came to see the Queen.

01:03I should think so, she didn't have any hit records.

01:06If you find someone you can play music with, that's a very special thing.

01:11Why do you see it in your way?

01:15Well, just so you fall out of their minds, we meant more to kids than Jesus did.

01:19Once they've built you up, all they can do is knock you down again.

01:24So they're getting death threats.

01:26We're gonna stop this performance.

01:35I don't think so, I think they're still strong.

01:39We'd all had enough time to breathe and had the opportunity to get together in a new light.

01:44Paul asked Yoko, was there anything of John's that we could work with?

01:49So we went in the studio.

01:51Doing the anthology, John was actually in the headphones while I was singing.

01:55It was like the old days.

01:59I wish they'd laugh forever, they could bring happiness to everybody.
