North Korea’s under-17 women’s football team returned home after winning the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco. Video released by state media showed the players being welcomed at Pyongyang International Airport by sports minister Kim Il Guk, officials, and family members.

Golden Ball winner Yu Jong Hyang said the team “just did what we have to do” and vowed to train even harder. North Korea defeated the Netherlands 3–0 in the final to secure back-to-back championships and their fourth title.
