05:45Unfortunately, unable, certainly not ready to compete at Summerslam is the injured Ahmed Johnson.
05:52Been following this unfortunate injury for some time.
05:55Kevin Kelly went down to the hometown of Ahmed Johnson, Houston, Texas, and had an occasion to file this report.
06:01You'll see a rather disconsolate Ahmed Johnson.
06:05You know what, I can always ignore the physical pain.
06:08This isn't the first time I've been in physical pain.
06:11It's more the mental pain that's playing the game with me right now.
06:14The mental pain hurts worse than anything in my life right now.
06:17It's the mental pain.
06:18Ahmed's pain started nearly four weeks ago when he suffered a ruptured kidney in this attack by Farouk Asad.
06:25The injury was further aggravated two weeks later when, against doctor's orders, Ahmed competed in the Raw Invitational Battle Royal.
06:32It was one of the most extraordinary displays of courage we have ever seen.
06:36Ahmed ignoring the pain to earn his first WWF title shot.
06:41Ahmed Johnson has won it! Ahmed has won this battle royal!
06:46But his glory soon turned into tragedy, Farouk once again attacking the injured and exhausted Ahmed.
06:52The severity of Ahmed's condition was not completely realized until almost one week later,
06:57when Ahmed needed to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
07:01Internal bleeding from that ruptured kidney was actually endangering his life.
07:06The surgery was thankfully a success, but the future of one of the most promising young WWF superstars remains in doubt.
07:13Ahmed is out, at least temporarily, forcing Gorilla Monsoon to make a tough decision.
07:17I'm left with no alternative but to say that the Intercontinental Championship right now is vacant.
07:25I understand that this is the people's belt. This is the WWF Intercontinental People's title.
07:32And I understand that to hold that title, we have to defend it night after night after night in order to be able to keep that title.
07:39I understand I'm able to do that right now. I understand Gorilla Monsoon's decision. I understand that totally.
07:44And I have no business against him or the Federation.
07:48Monsoon has announced there will be an eight-man Intercontinental title tournament beginning this Monday, live on RAW.
07:54But for Ahmed, the question is, will he ever be able to return to wrestling?
07:59If the bleeding is stopped, he may return in about three or four months.
08:06If we can't get the bleeding to stop, we have to go in and take his kidney out, which means he won't be able to come back at all.
08:13I don't care what the doctors say to me. What the doctors say to me means nothing.
08:18I mean, John's going to do what he wants to do and what his fans want him to do.
08:22I got a commitment to the fans and the people, and I'm going to do whatever it takes.
08:27And however long it takes to get the job done.
08:31As for the WWF title shot Ahmed had earned by winning the battle royal,
08:35Monsoon also decided that the last four men in the ring, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldust, Savio Vega, and Psycho Sid,
08:43will all take part in a sudden death battle royal live this Monday on RAW.
08:48The winner gets the automatic WWF title shot on RAW Championship Friday, a special edition of RAW on September 6th.
08:55Ahmed Johnson will be home that night watching someone else get his WWF title shot.
09:02I hope no one at fault would happen to me but myself.
09:07And me and my fans, we will defend our honor and our pride once again, hopefully real soon.

21:45I can't emphasize enough how much being World Wrestling Federation champion means to me and is brought to my life.
21:54But Vader can't wait to take that from Shawn.
21:56And this Mastodon will use any means possible.
21:59Just take a look at what happened after Shawn beat Camp Cornette's Owen Hart last week on Raw.

22:06Coming from the top and oh.
22:08And that's it again.
22:13If not for Jose Lothario, who knows how much damage would have been done.
22:17Jose's involvement upset Jim Cornette, who's anxious for Vader to finish the job.
22:22When the Vader Bomb falls on you, Shawn Michaels, the most awesome force in the history of the WWF is dropping on you.
22:28And he's gonna take that gold and leave you broke, busted, and disgusted.
22:32Michaels may not be fully recovered from the Vader Bombs, but he'll draw his strength from unquestionably a familiar source.
22:39Click, I need you now more than ever.
22:42And when you come out to the party at the Gundarina together as one,
22:46we will let it be known that Vader time is gonna have to be later time.
22:51It's gonna be happening, click style.
22:54It's not often I go out on a limb, McMahon, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and I'm gonna predict that Vader is gonna be the new World Wrestling Federation champion.

23:03Next on WWF Superstars, Clarence Mason breaks into the managing business, debuting his new man Crush.

23:24There's some question as to whether or not Mr. Mason is in some degree of jeopardy as far as a conflict of interest is concerned.
23:31He represents Camp Cornette legally, but at the same time represents professionally as a manager.
23:36The individual made his debut against Savio Vega, successful debut last week on Raw.
23:41And here he comes, ladies and gentlemen.
23:43Here comes a 300 plus pound monster by the name of Crush.
23:47And I think Clarence Mason is very pleased with himself, JR.
23:51Well, Clarence Mason reminds me of Johnny Cochran after the OJ verdict was read.
23:56My goodness.
23:57And I also hear that Mason is recruiting other WWF Superstars to join his organization.
24:02As a matter of fact, my sources tell me, Mr. Perfect, that Mr. Mason has even had some dialogue with you, sir.
24:08Well, I've talked to Mason, but it's none of your business to tell you the truth, Ross.
24:12And look on that young man's face pretty much tells the story.
24:15Yes, everyone in awe of the size and indeed the nature, if you would,
24:20of this changed human being, Crush.
24:24You know, Aldo Montoya, protege of Jake the Snake Roberts.
24:27We mentioned earlier, Jake the Snake one-on-one with the Big Mouth Jerry the King Lawler
24:31at SummerSlam this Sunday.
24:33And I wonder if Aldo's newfound DDT will be effective if he's able to apply it to this
24:40six-foot-eight-inch monster.

33:06The first ever boiler room brawl between the deranged individual we just saw, Mankind,
33:11and the phenom of the World Wrestling Federation, The Undertaker.
33:14The match starts in the boiler room.
33:16No rules whatsoever, who knows where it'll end up.
33:19And what about the first ever four team elimination tag team match featuring the Godwins, the New Rockers,
33:24the Body Donnas, and the current tag team champions of Smoking Guns.
33:27Now you can tag anybody and the team that outlasts the other three will walk out tag team champions.
33:33And there's such parody between these teams.
33:35They all hold victories over each other.
33:37The most recent, the Body Donnas defeating the Smoking Guns in a non-title matchup last month.
33:41Right now, here are the Smoking Guns with the sensuous manager, Sunny.
33:46You know, I think the entire world is conspiring against us.
33:50Not only do we have to defend the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam,
33:55but we have to get in that ring and defend the belts against three teams all at once.
33:59Now, it's the first time in the history of the World Wrestling Federation that there was a four-team elimination championship match.
34:05But that's okay. We're gonna go to SummerSlam.
34:08We're gonna slide right in that ring and prove to everyone that we are the premier tag team in the World Wrestling Federation.
34:14Well, obviously, the Smoking Guns will have everybody coming at them from all sides.

38:24Well, I think it's gonna be a great matchup, and we may have some fireworks on the outside
38:28between Marlena and Sable.
38:30And that interview last week with Goldust was a little far out from me.
