00:06of the United Nations Climate Conference COP30, concluded with the delivery of its final declaration.

00:12Over 1,100 organisations from around the world participated in this global gathering,

00:18which brought together thousands of activists from all continents in the city of Belém

00:22do Pará.

00:23The event aimed to pressure global leaders and negotiators present in Brazil to adopt

00:28effective actions in the face of the climate emergency, which participants argued is largely

00:34the responsibility of major transnational corporations.

00:39Among the main demands of the summit, social movements emphasise the need to guarantee the

00:44active participation of indigenous peoples in decision-making.
