MIC pledges to continue backing Anwar should the party leave BN

MIC president Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran says the party will continue supporting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership until the end of his mandate, regardless of future political decisions.  He said delegates at MIC’s 79th AGM on Sunday (Nov 16) had also given him and the Central Working Committee the mandate to chart the party’s direction, including reviewing the resolution to exit Barisan Nasional before deciding the next move.  Asked whether he had met Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to discuss leaving BN, Vigneswaran said no such meeting had occurred.
