Ecuador's National Electoral Council has officially launched overseas voting for the 2025 popular consultation and referendum, enabling over 470,000 Ecuadorians abroad to participate in the democratic process. teleSUR

00:10According to data from the National Electoral Council,

00:13more than 470,000 voters are eligible to exercise their right to vote

00:18in 99 areas of 38 countries.

00:21Ecuadorians residing in Oceania, Europe and Asia will be the first to vote,

00:27followed by those in Latin America and the Caribbean and Africa.

00:30The last to vote will be those residing in the United States,

00:34according to Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld.

00:37The Foreign Minister and Vice President of the CNE

00:40emphasised the importance of citizens living abroad,

00:44participating in decisions on important issues.
