00:00when I went into that cell for the first time immediately I thought about my soul

00:07what had I done and how was I going to be forgiven for this everybody tells our story

00:15the newspaper reporters the district attorneys the judges everybody has our story of who we

00:22are and beyond a block gives us a platform for us to tell our own narrative we created

00:28a unity of camaraderie of people trying to do the right thing in the best part about it is we got

00:33the courage to show the world this is who we are I'm one man incarcerated in sing sing with 1500

00:39other people but to actually be giving a microphone on a stage to speak about something that I am

00:46passionate about is huge many of us have done some terrible things haven't hurt many people

00:50myself included I don't care who you are or what you've done every single man here deserves the

00:55hope of becoming someone better someone different someone other than what they're wrong doing is

00:59defining that want to know that your life means something you want to know that what you do can

01:08touch another person and get them to grow to your right look to your left and say take care of me I'm

01:13gonna take care of you somebody has to let it be known that there are people that are languishing in

01:20prison that society said a long time ago that they were irredeemable and we should be afraid of them

01:25if rehabilitation and atonement are the objective should we not be encouraging the right to change and the

01:34capacity to hold amongst our impossible should we not be considering the humanity behind this world
