00:00I don't believe people are losing their jobs to AI.

00:02I think people that are using AI

00:04are going to be farther ahead than people that don't use AI.

00:06That's DJ Sampath,

00:07the Senior Vice President of AI Software and Platform at Cisco.

00:11I got to interview him at Cisco Live,

00:12and he had a lot of great insights into AI,

00:15but also into the bridge between AI and hardware.

00:17What does Cisco even do, right?

00:19Now, if you think about it,

00:20today when we fire up our iPads,

00:21we see, like, you know, watch a video on Netflix.

00:23Cisco builds every single part of that infrastructure.

00:27That Wi-Fi router, we build that.

00:28The router that the Wi-Fi router connects to,

00:30the Xfinity connection,

00:31and then the data center that Netflix hosts those movies inside of,

00:34Cisco helps build that.

00:35So think about it this way.

00:36We build the infrastructure for the internet,

00:39and now we're building that infrastructure for the modern AI era.

00:42Cisco is involved in basically every step of this process,

00:45which means they see all of the vulnerabilities.

00:47We're going to start to see every application

00:49becoming an AI-powered application.

00:50And when that happens,

00:51Cisco, you know,

00:52suddenly becomes tremendously relevant

00:54from a safety and security perspective,

00:55because guess what?

00:56If the models have vulnerabilities,

00:57you could have attackers use techniques

00:59like prompt injection attacks

01:01or context window overloads

01:02or meta-prompt extraction,

01:04and then cause the model to do some unnatural things.

01:06DJ had a lot of really thoughtful answers

01:08to some potentially alarming scenarios

01:10when it comes to AI.

01:11But the one I liked the most

01:12was his answer to the jobs question.

01:14Really think about how this job equation is going to go.

01:16Every single time,

01:17somebody that knows how to use AI

01:18is going to move forward faster

01:20and is going to get those jobs.

01:21The only advice would be to say,

01:22hey, get really, really comfortable using AI.
