00:00I've always wanted to be a surrogate and I knew that I would most likely do it at least once in
00:04my lifetime. Today is day two. I just woke up. I am so shocked at how my belly is truly going down.
00:13I can already tell that the pain today is not going to be quite as awful as the pain that was
00:18yesterday. But the internet was shocked to find out her husband gave her permission to do it.
00:23For months and months we talked about it on if we thought that it would be something we could do
00:28because it is hard and obviously my body would be changing. So before we ever even matched with
00:33somebody like we were on the same page, he met the couple, liked them and wanted to help them
00:38become parents. And then he supported me 100% throughout the entire pregnancy. But what her
00:44husband did next shocked her. He would work all day, come home and then still cook dinner because
00:49at the end of the pregnancy I was so huge. He held the babies multiple times. He's the one who gave me
00:55all of my shots, helped me take my medication. Obviously he's the one who helped me in the
00:59hospital after the C-section. He's home for a week right now just helping me take care of the kids
01:05because I'm not supposed to lift yet. He was just as involved as I was. But with having no babies to
01:10breastfeed, people got curious about what she did with her milk. As a surrogate, can you charge for
01:15breast milk? Yes, you can. In the contract, it did give us the option to charge by the ounce, but
01:22I chose not to charge them because first of all, they're my friends. Second of all, they have jumped
01:28through so many hoops for these babies and they've already had to pay a crazy amount of money. I didn't
01:33want to have to add another expense. Like my body is already producing the milk and this was kind of
01:38my way to serve. Weeks later, the babies left and she had to find an urgent solution for her breast
01:43milk. The twins have gone home and I'm still producing lots of milk. So my goal is to find someone
01:48to donate to and I have done it. I actually found three families to donate to. We're heading to the
01:53first family right now. I'm not going to share anything personal about them. I'll just share
01:57that they each need the milk for different reasons. This is how much I'm donating for now.
02:03And then I do have another bag in the freezer that I plan to donate to a different family next week. So
02:10it gives me this next week to build up more stock. One of the families is a set of twins. So I'm
02:16really excited about that just because, you know, I was a surrogate to twins. I'm officially six weeks
02:21postpartum from the twin surrogacy. I still talk to them so often and I get to see the babies all the
02:28time. They send me pictures and videos. I was very mentally prepared for this before we ever did the
02:34transfer. So I have had some emotions, like some sadness that I can't fully explain. I'm actually
02:40headed to an ultrasound here in a few minutes because I have still been pretty heavily. So there is a
02:46chance that there's some retained placenta. So I'm going to go find out about that. But honestly,
02:51I am so blessed that I could be a part of something that is so huge. This impacts not
02:57only the parents, but like generations to come and I got to be a part of it.
