00:00Poland is implementing additional security measures at its border with Belarus to bolster

00:07its defenses against hybrid threats.

00:10Officials said on Friday that an additional mesh fence will be installed at the border

00:14in the northeastern Podlasky province.

00:17It will run alongside the road and the existing metal barrier on the border.

00:23The new fence will also help the country's border guard control immigration and detain

00:27migrants who managed to cross the first barrier.

00:31The structure is planned to be around 4 meters high and will be coupled with barbed wire running

00:36along it.

00:38The fence will also be equipped with thermal imaging cameras, which will be mounted on

00:4210 meter high poles.

00:45Materials for its construction are already being sent to the border, with completion expected

00:49in the coming months.
