00:00So I have wanted to learn how to speak French for a really long time it's been a massive dream of mine and one of the things that I did in order to find the type of school that could work best for me and the kind of learning that I do the best with was to research a lot of schools online I looked at at least a dozen schools and what I love the most about dialogue were three things actually number one they really focus on the oral comprehension
00:30and the pronunciation without the oral comprehension and the pronunciation I don't understand anything that people say in the streets of Paris or anywhere in France so that was the first thing that Jean-Luc and Claudine were able to correct with me in the course of one week I already had seen tremendous improvement the second thing is it's one-to-one a lot of times when I would take different classes it was always in a group of six to ten students and nobody learns at the same level
01:00so I would often get very lost I was either too far behind the more advanced students or too far ahead of the slower students and I would just get bored or just overwhelmed and the third thing was real life immersion we talked only in French for an entire week all of our meals were in French all of my activities in the beautiful town of Visay in Belgium were in French and it allowed me to immerse myself in the culture and the language that's completely different from my own
