00:00Good afternoon, my name is Noeem. I've just done two times five days intensive with Jean-Luc at Dialogue.
00:11I arrived as a upper intermediate, mid intermediate and I've left as advanced.
00:19I think it's too early to really feel the progress, but Jean-Luc is a very exacting teacher who has fantastic ways of explaining things and he drills every aspect of language and identifies each person's issues, I would imagine.
00:43I'm a teacher myself, so I could see he's very good at finding out your weak points and then addressing them.
00:51Mine were grammar and I learned a lot of things which I had misunderstood from school days and also pronunciation, which is a work in progress.
01:04But okay, Jean-Luc loves etymology and vocabulary as I do, so he had some apps that showed the variety, synonyms, etymology and frequency of certain words.
01:21And the other thing I really found interesting was his approach to improving listening, you know, comprehension by listening and how to improve the number of words we can listen to and understand before losing the plot.
01:42Well, what else can I tell you? I did six classes times 45 minutes a day, which I think was a bit too much.
01:53I will definitely go back to the Dialogue. It's a bit like doing a yearly cleansing.
02:00And I did six lessons a day and I think I do four because there's a lot of self-study to be done, especially using the very good exercises on the television, which are developed by Jean-Luc.
02:20And as far as hospitality, it was very nice. Claudine's meals were very punctual and very healthy in the main and also during each meal, French never stopped and nor did corrections.
02:42And Claudine was a wealth of cultural information, as was Jean-Luc.
