00:00Democrats want you to forget all about the shutdown shellacking.
00:03So they're launching a smear campaign disguised as a bombshell.
00:07The Jeffrey Epstein emails.
00:09Congress is dumping thousands of documents,
00:12and Democrats are using them to frame Trump.
00:15But we've been combing through them and can't find anything,
00:19anything nailing Trump.
00:21Even Axios says the emails contained no real smoking gun.
00:25The files do show Epstein's deep ties to liberals.
00:30Like anti-Trump author Michael Wolff.
00:34He colluded with Epstein on how to blackmail Trump.
00:38Wolff told Epstein in 2015,
00:41if you should let him hang himself,
00:44if he says he hasn't been on the plane or to the House,
00:47then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency.
00:52Why is Wolff giving a pedophile PR advice?
00:54And coaching him to take down the president.
00:57That wasn't the only writer Epstein colluded with.
01:01A New York Times reporter gave Epstein a heads up
01:03that a former cop was investigating him for a book.
01:07That reporter was pushed out of the company
01:10after they found he asked Epstein for a $30,000 donation.
01:16Larry Summers, who worked for Bill Clinton and Obama,
01:19was also pen pals with Epstein.
01:21He was asking him for tips on women.
01:25Who goes to Jeffrey Epstein for dating advice?
01:29Epstein didn't just have ties to the Democrats and the media.
01:33He had foreign connections.
01:35Before Trump met Putin in 2018,
01:38Epstein was pitching himself to the Kremlin,
01:41saying he could give Russia insight on Trump.
01:44Which is weird because
01:45if the Kremlin was controlling Trump,
01:48like the Democrats accused him,
01:49why did they need insight?
01:52He wasn't just any old rich American.
01:54He was well-connected to top players all over the world,
01:59from Israel to Saudi Arabia.
02:02And it wasn't a secret.
02:03Epstein went to Clinton's White House 17 times.
02:07And Slick Willie was a frequent flyer
02:10on the so-called Lolita Express.
02:12Clinton and Epstein seemed like pals.
02:15But when it comes to Trump,
02:17Jeffrey had TDS.
02:19I have met some very bad people,
02:21none as bad as Trump,
02:23not one decent cell in his body.
02:26Trump should wear that like a badge of honor.
02:28The slimiest guy in the world.
02:29Hating he's a good thing.
02:31Epstein even admitted Trump,
02:33quote,
02:33never got a massage.
02:36Hmm.
02:37The same author Epstein colluded with
02:40even said this.
02:41Epstein believed that it was Trump
02:45who first informed the police
02:47about what was going on at Epstein's house.
02:51And from that point on,
02:53they were nothing but bitter enemies.
02:57So Trump dropped a dime on Epstein,
02:59but Democrats say they're best buds?
03:01And that Biden and Obama's DOJ had proof
03:05Trump was compromised,
03:06but waited three elections to keep it a secret?
03:09They arrested Trump over bookkeeping
03:12and want us to believe they had real dirt
03:14and didn't use it.
03:15The Epstein files were in existence
03:18and free to have been opened
03:19during the Biden administration.
03:22You were there for four years.
03:27How come you didn't open it
03:29as a Democratic Party then?
03:31What am I missing?
03:33Ghislaine Maxwell said Trump did nothing wrong.
03:36So have Epstein's victims
03:38and Epstein's lawyer.
03:41And none of these emails implicate Trump.
03:43So we're back to square one.
03:45Congress is playing games,
03:46holding fake votes to drop more files.
03:50But that's not going to happen
03:51because it's up to a judge
03:53and they won't release grand jury testimony.
03:56This is now looking more and more like a ploy
03:59to divide Republicans and smear the president.
04:03For a party that claims to care about affordability,
04:05they sure waste a lot of time on old emails.
04:08Prime Time wants to get to the bottom
04:10of the Epstein saga more than anybody.
04:11We've been covering the story for years.
04:13But the story isn't about Trump.
04:15It's about foreign intelligence,
04:17blackmail and cover-ups.
04:20Christopher Rufo is a senior fellow
04:22at the Manhattan Institute
04:24and host of the Rufo and Lomaz podcast.
04:27All right, Chris,
04:28what does your gut tell you
04:29about what's going on here?
04:30Look, I mean,
04:33Jeffrey Epstein is an increasingly
04:35and enormously powerful man,
04:37even in death.
04:38He is like a human hand grenade
04:40and both sides, both camps,
04:42keep trying to toss him onto the other side
04:45and hoping that it explodes.
04:47But again and again,
04:49the evidence suggests
04:50that while Trump did know Epstein,
04:52he did party with Epstein on occasion,
04:54he wasn't involved in any of Epstein's crimes.
04:57And in fact,
04:57when he figured out what was going on,
04:59he banned Epstein
05:00from his Mar-a-Lago club and resort.
05:03And so the president, I think,
05:04had successfully established boundaries
05:06and the Dems are just trying
05:07to agitate against him
05:08and trying to use
05:10whatever bits and pieces
05:11from these documents
05:12to get the president.
05:13But look,
05:14the president has been through a lot.
05:16He's been indicted.
05:17He's been arrested.
05:18He's been mugshotted.
05:19He's been shot through the ear.
05:21A couple of misrepresented snippets
05:23from these emails
05:24is not going to result in much.
05:25How do you think
05:26the Republican Party
05:27is handling the Epstein situation?
05:31I think the Republican Party
05:33in part has taken the bait
05:35and there's this scrambling
05:36about the various bills
05:37and the court hearings.
05:38It's so convoluted.
05:40It's given the Democrats
05:41an opportunity
05:42to demagogue against it.
05:44But I think overall,
05:45the best policy
05:46is one of transparency.
05:48The more documents
05:49can be revealed,
05:50the maximum amount
05:52the courts can let loose
05:53to the public,
05:54I think that's better.
05:55And I think the evidence
05:56should,
05:57wherever it falls,
05:58it falls.
05:59The evidence thus far
06:00suggests that Trump
06:01had no involvement
06:02in the Epstein crimes.
06:04But I think certainly
06:07some very powerful people
06:09from all political persuasions
06:11and business and politics
06:12and academia and science
06:14are trying to keep
06:15these documents
06:16out of the public eye
06:17because, look,
06:19some very powerful
06:20and very well-known people
06:21were doing
06:21some very naughty things.
06:23Yep,
06:23that's what it appears
06:24to be, too.
06:25All right, Chris,
06:25great work.
06:26Thank you so much.
06:27Thank you so much.
