00:00Hundreds of Parisians gathered here at the Place de la République in central Paris
00:05where I am currently standing this Thursday night
00:09with flowers, candles in hand
00:12to remember the 132 people who were killed
00:16during the November 13th Paris terrorist attacks 10 years ago.
00:21Earlier, the days' ceremonies were somber
00:24with French President Emmanuel Macron
00:26along with his wife Brigitte and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo
00:30paying tribute alongside former leaders, survivors
00:34and families of the victims at the different attack sites
00:38through the city, from the cafes to the terraces,
00:42the Bataclan Concert Hall and the Stade de France.
00:46At each site, names of the victims were read aloud
00:49in quiet reflection, honouring those who were lost.
00:53The evening ceremony that started at 6 p.m., however,
00:57was deeply moving, culminating in the inauguration
01:00of the November 13th Memory Garden
01:02opposite the Paris City Hall.
01:06And Thursday night, the Eiffel Tower lit up once again
01:09in blue, white and red, the colours of the French flag.
01:14Church bells, including those of Notre-Dame,
01:17rang across the city, echoing through a Paris
01:20that still bears the scars of the attack
01:23but has never lost its light.
