00:00Welcome to the White House. It is truly inspiring to see everyone gather here

00:24together, united in support of this remarkable initiative and community. As I stand here and

00:32observe the audience, I recognize the vital importance of each one of you to this mission,

00:42to our future generations. In particular, I would like to thank the cabinet secretaries,

00:49congress members, scholarship donors, and various organizations for their unending advocacy.

00:59A special thank you to my husband for his enduring commitment to fostering the future.

01:06The president has prioritized America's foster care children, and shortly he will sign our

01:13fostering the future executive order. Too many people from foster care community end up homeless,

01:23in danger on America's streets. It was 2021 when I developed the idea to establish an impactful

01:32platform with an important mission, to provide individuals from the foster care community

01:39the ability to secure an entry-level job position, and in turn, financial independence.

01:50Fostering the Future, a Be Best initiative, provides individuals from the foster care community

01:57with technology-based scholarships to attend colleges and universities throughout America.

02:04Fostering the future sets these individuals on their career paths, but more significantly,

02:13it equips each scholarship recipient with a fundamental foundation of knowledge that will endure throughout their lifetimes.

02:24Permanency for those who embody the fleeting.

02:28I applaud the American universities that have joined my mission, institutions like Wanderpilt University,

02:38University of Miami, and Villanova University.

02:43Following graduation, scholarship recipients from my program are prepared to enter the work force,

02:50and ultimately become leading executives.

02:54Predictably, they will manage thousands of employees and generate significant value for American communities

03:03through job creation, access to healthcare, food security, and other societal benefits.

03:13This executive order, fostering the future for American children and families, gives me tremendous pride.

03:21It is both empathetic and strategic.

03:27It will certainly be impactful.

03:31It aims to establish a comprehensive network connecting federal departments and agencies,

03:37pride of private sector businesses, higher learning institutions, and charitable organizations.

03:45This will create new educational and employment opportunities countrywide.

03:51Our faith-based organizations will continue playing a vital and consequential role.

03:59My hope, of course, is that this level of coordinated collaboration will sustain.

04:07But today, I call on leadership from these various organizations, including the private sector,

04:15to join my effort.

04:17Rise above the ease of inaction.

04:20I predict this small spark today will ignite a profound and lasting nationwide movement.

04:29Our united resolve will foster a thriving future filled with compassion and innovation.

04:37Together, we will illuminate the pathway for today's foster children to become tomorrow's builders.

04:45And tomorrow's builders will foster the future of America's legacy.
