00:26They put their hair down again tonight, but they give him a chance as they beat Santo and Octagon to really end the careers of their opponents.
00:35Should Santo and Octagon lose this matchup tonight, they can never wrestle again with their match.
00:42Elijo del Santo wears a replica of the most famous match in all of Mexican wrestling history.
00:50He is the son of El Santo, Mexico's most famous, most revered wrestler.
00:54Elijo del Santo debuted in October 1982.
00:58Like his father, he also stars in movies in Mexico.
01:02He is risking, as we said, the most famous match in all of wrestling against these guys,
01:08Eddie Guerrero and Ardvar, who we're watching right now, the Love Machine, the current AAA World Tag Team Champions.
01:15They beat Santo and Octagon for those belts in Chicago.
01:19And Mike Trump speculates that one of the referees in the match was paid off by Eddie Guerrero.
01:25No doubt about it, that referee is Tarantes, the official that you see in the ring with the suspenders.
01:30There was a fast count.
01:32There was money that did exchange hands in the ring.
01:35What role will Tarantes play in tonight's big matchup?
01:39And there is Elijo del Santo in Octagon.
01:42As we said, Elijo del Santo risking the most famous match in all of wrestling.
01:46When his father died in the 80s, shortly before El Santo's death,
01:50Elijo del Santo promised him that he would never lose the match.
01:54Losing the match, the ultimate humiliation, a real blow to one machismo.
02:02Octagon is a lawyer by trade, oddly enough.
02:06He sells Mike more merchandise by far than any other wrestler in Mexico.
02:11He's a martial arts expert with an emphasis on judo.
02:16And if we can get a shot at some point of the crowd, we will see a lot of Octagon masks out there.
02:21Let's also talk about the seconds involved in this match.
02:25For the team of Eddie Guerrero and Love Machine, they have Madonna's boyfriend in their corner.
02:31Madonna's boyfriend, of course, is part of that Gringos Locos connection.
02:35A second for the team of Santo and Octagon will be Blue Panther, who we just saw in the match previously.
02:41We'll see what role the seconds play in addition to that of the officials.
02:46Elijo del Santo means the son of the saint.
02:48Now, Eddie Guerrero is the son of Gorey Guerrero, who also fathered three more sons who are wrestlers.
02:56Eddie Guerrero was born in Mexico, now lives in El Paso, Texas, and wears the American colors, red, white, and blue.
03:03As you can hear, that really infuriates the Mexican fans.
03:07Mike, as you know, he has been taunting Elijo del Santo recently,
03:10claiming that it was his father, Gorey, who was the real star of that famous tag team that he formed with the now-set El Santo.
03:19They were called the Atomic Pair, and clearly that is not the case.
03:22El Santo more than carried his weight.
03:25Interesting to note.
03:26Earlier today on my national radio show, Love Machine and Eddie Guerrero were my guests.
03:31And that jealousy, to this day, still exists.
03:35They talked about the fact that Santo and Eddie Guerrero, Hijo del Santo and Eddie Guerrero, were tag team partners.
03:42But Eddie Guerrero admitted he was playing second fiddle to Santo, much like his father, Gorey Guerrero, in his eyes,
03:49played second fiddle to the original El Santo.
03:52And that jealousy broke them apart.
03:53The cheers, perhaps I should say, the taunts of the fans, and Eddie Guerrero and Art Machine Love Bar are walking out.
04:06The fans pick up that chant of Mexico, Mexico, and that drive Love Machine and Eddie Guerrero crazy.
04:15Well, you saw that swimming motion.
04:17That is a taunt by Love Machine Art Bar on the Mexicans,
04:21intubating that the only way they can get to America is to swim the river.
04:28There is a real visceral hatred for Love Machine Art Bar in Mexico.
04:34It's always a security risk whenever he wrestles in Mexico.
04:38And right now, he is wrestling live here at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

06:10The legendary status of El Santo.
06:13In the ring, you see Hijo del Santo, the son.
06:16His father starred as a lead in 44 movies and wrestled for 41 years.

06:22When he died, it was the largest funeral ever in Mexico, and Santo was buried in that mask, as you mentioned.
06:28When I first heard that, I was stunned.
06:30And I think that's an indication of just how truly sacred, you don't want to be sacrilegious here,
06:34but how truly sacred that mask is in Mexico.
06:38We see Octagon now in Love Machine, and Love Machine tries to take over with the boot.
06:43Octagon is not the biggest, but he really knows how to use his opponent's speed and momentum.
