00:00Linda Hamilton!
00:02Linda Hamilton, everybody!
00:04How can we even do an interview with Linda Hamilton?
00:06It feels frankly disrespectful.
00:08Sean, you're the busiest man in Hollywood at the moment.
00:10Do you have time to be here?
00:12I thought you were knee deep in the galaxy far away.
00:14I am indeed.
00:16I literally shot Starfighter all day,
00:20put on a suit,
00:22put some shit in my hair,
00:24and raced here to be with you.
00:26To be shooting Star Wars in the day
00:30and celebrating Stranger Things at night,
00:32it is beyond any version of a career that I ever could have dreamed of.
00:36How are things going over there at the moment?
00:40I'm happy to say it's going really well.
00:44We're now over halfway through the shoot
00:46and Ryan Gosling is every bit as dreamy as I expected,
00:51but also just a dream of a collaborator.
00:54And the rest of the cast is just dope as hell.
00:58And we feel that we're really sort of doing something in a tone
01:02that is so loving of this legacy,
01:06but also very much a new story, new timeline, new characters, new adventure.
01:11I can't wait for it, man.
01:12It feels like the right amount of time has passed now
01:14where that kind of enthusiasm,
01:16that interest in other stories in that world
01:18is starting to peak once again.
01:20But let's not detract away from why we're here, Stranger Things.
01:24Talk me through kind of the experience of this feud
01:26because for a lot of these guys, a lot of these kids into adults,
01:29this has been their youth.
01:31This is growing up.
01:32But you've had all these huge projects on the side outside of this world.
01:37Do you feel the same kind of the loss that these guys must be going through now
01:41when it comes to an end?
01:42I mean, look, there were none of us at that final table read
01:47who weren't tear soaked.
01:50And it has been a huge part of our lives.
01:53It's been 10 years.
01:54Now, for the kids, it's been the defining, formative influence
01:58of their still very new life.
02:01It's been half their lives.
02:02For myself, for the Duffers, you know, it's maybe not half our lives,
02:07but it is the defining chapter of our careers.
02:10You guys feel like proud parents in a way to see what kind of actors and people these guys have felt.
02:14Yeah, and not just proud parents of these kids and these young actors,
02:18but proud parents of this show.
02:20Like, we took something that the world did not expect,
02:25did not know what to make of it.
02:26When I read the Duffers script, I didn't know that it would be a hit.
02:30I didn't sign up for any strategic reasons.
02:33I just needed to be a part of it because I knew it was special
02:37and I wanted to help get it into the world.
02:39And finally, it's been a bit of pandemonium here.
02:42There have been a lot of interviews with, you know,
02:44the people who've just come and want to see you guys
02:46and kind of celebrate the end of the series.
02:48And every time there's been an interview, all I've said is,
02:50I hope X person doesn't die.
02:52I hope this person doesn't die.
02:54How disappointed are we going to be in this season?
02:57Are we expecting a bloodbath or what?
02:58Brother, if I answered you, I am so going to give something away.
03:02So you're getting nothing from me on that one.
03:04But thanks for asking.
03:05I'm looking forward to it anyway, man.
03:06Take care of yourself.
03:07Thanks chatting.
