00:00In 1988, a convicted murderer vanished from a high-security prison.
00:05No tunnels, no guards bribed. He simply floated away.
00:09For months, he studied the winds, the guards, and the night sky.
00:13Then, on a stormy evening, while thunder shook the walls,
00:16he made his move, hidden inside the prison workshop.
00:20He built something unthinkable.
00:22A hot-air balloon, made from stolen bedsheets,
00:25scrap fabric, and smuggled propane tanks.
00:27When the wind was right, he lit the flame.
00:30The balloon rose, slow at first, then higher and higher,
00:34past the searchlights, past the walls.
00:36Guards shouted, bullets flew, but he kept rising into the storm.
00:40By dawn, the prison was in chaos.
00:43He was gone. Some say he died in the mountains.
00:46Others whisper, he made it across the border,
00:49the man who escaped the law, and vanished into the sky.
