00:00Will it rain in Spain on the Plains, Joe?
00:02Sometimes that question has been answered throughout history.
00:04But the one thing we don't have to worry about, if it does rain in Spain,
00:08we've got a retractable dome scenario for those Washington commanders
00:11taking on the Miami Dolphins in Spain, 9.30 a.m.
00:15Neither of these teams going anywhere, but could we get some fireworks, Joe?
00:18We have a total hovering in the high 40s here.
00:20And a side that opened up as a favorite towards Washington
00:23when we thought maybe their quarterback would be Jaden Daniels.
00:26It's not. It's Marcus Mariota.
00:27So now the Dolphins are playing the favorite position at two and a half
00:30after thumping the Buffalo Bills at home.
00:34Now they take it overseas to Spain, Joe.
00:37Two and a half point favorite for the Dolphins.
00:38Do they deserve to be favorites in this game?
00:41Well, they do.
00:42I mean, first of all, I believe Dan Quinn has never coached an international game.
00:48Mariota, I don't think, has been in one since 2018 when he was with the Titans.
00:54But Tua has, and so has McDaniel.
00:56Tua has lost both international games by one possession in both.
01:02So they, and this is part of the thing, Donnie, right?
01:05Having the experience and understanding the time change and the clock
01:09and how to go about preparing, it is absolutely advantage Miami.
01:15And you've got to give them credit.
01:17You know, this team had every reason to quit on McDaniel and the organization,
01:21and yet they did what they did against Buffalo last week.
01:25And it wouldn't shock me at all if they keep rolling because Dan Quinn can call as many
01:30defensive plays as he wants.
01:32Yeah, you ain't, you ain't fixing what's going on with that defense in one week.
01:38That is not happening.
01:39And so I think Miami's the rightful favorite.
01:42Waddle should be able to get busy.
01:43A-Chan should be able to get busy in this game.
01:45We'll see what happens here.
01:46But here we've got a clip video talking about Mike McDaniel,
01:49talking about Dan Quinn, I should say, on helping him with his sobriety.
01:53Dan Quinn holds a special place in my heart, in my career.
01:58Um, you know, I think he, uh, he was there at ground zero, um, when, uh, I, I became sober
02:08and supported me and, um, believed in me, um, and gave me the opportunity to continue, uh,
02:17what I love to do.
02:18So, uh, for, uh, for that, I'll be forever indebted to him.
02:24Um, I think it speaks to the type of man he is and the type of leader he is that, uh,
02:30that I know really he, he, he touches, um, every player he coaches, um, from a, uh, true
02:38authentic, um, uh, standpoint.
02:41And, uh, you know, I think the commanders are very fortunate to have him.
02:46That's Mike McDaniel, future offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles talking about his
02:50sobriety there, Joe.
02:52Yeah, no.
02:53No, I mean, and listen, I mean, we've heard from a number of different guys that, you
02:58know, Dan Quinn is, you know, salt of the earth kind of guy.
03:01He is, uh, he is truly one of the good guys there.
03:05It's unfortunate what has happened to him this year.
03:08I mean, that's four straight games, Donnie, of losing by 21 or more points.
03:13Uh, it's, I, you know, and I hope he's safe over there, but it's, everybody has had nothing
03:19but great things to say about him.
03:21And especially, uh, McDaniel, who he credits with, uh, with getting him sober.
03:25So, uh, good stuff there with Dan Quinn.
03:28I wish he had a better fate this year, but it is what it is with the injuries.
03:31I wish he had a better
