00:00A new Horizon game has just been unveiled, but it completely skips the PlayStation ecosystem and is free to play?
00:06Here is the full story.
00:07While the Horizon clone light of Motirum is aiming for a PlayStation 5 release,
00:11Sony's own property is doing a 180 and not releasing on any PlayStation platform whatsoever.
00:16This one is called Horizon Steel Frontiers,
00:19and it's a massive multiplayer RPG within the Horizon universe that is licensed and developed by NCSoft,
00:24but also gets heavy support from PlayStation Studios and Guerrilla Games itself.
00:29Gone are the days of playing Horizon solo, and this time you can hunt those colossal machines together.
00:33Set in the Deadlands, a vast open world inspired by Arizona and New Mexico,
00:37you will step into the role of a machine hunter,
00:39alongside thousands of other players that will join you on your hunt or might battle against you in rival tribes.
00:45The combat builds on the fast tactical hunting we know from Horizon, but with brand new MMO mechanics.
00:50You can target and destroy machine parts, climb onto enemies using a pull caster,
00:54set traps, and even wield weapons dropped by machines mid-fight.
00:57Cooperation and strategy are key in these large-scale raids.
01:01Strangely enough, it will only come to PC and mobile, and there is no release date announced so far.
01:05Would you play Horizon on the go?
