00:00Three days ago seven of Britain's most badly behaved girls were sent by their parents to a
00:25leading American brat camp she's punched me a couple of times she's kicked me a
00:31couple of times she spat in the face they have used the police for that six
00:37months as a taxi service she wants everything all the time and when she has
00:43something it's not good enough I hate myself for it but I sometimes feel I'm
00:47just letting her walk all over me she knows most the local police by their
00:53Christian names my worst fear is that Julia will end up on a street as a
00:59pale-dependent drug addict she could do as much as her life the girls were sent
01:09here to a tough single-sex wilderness course at Aspen Achievement Academy in
01:13Utah from the moment they arrived they've given the staff a run for their money
01:22the girls were dropped in the middle of
01:28the Utah wilderness in the dead of night just 24 hours and several escape attempts
01:44later the girls had already pushed staff too far please let's keep them separate
01:51please we've decided to split the group into two and these three will see that
01:56indeed that you know they're being left behind
02:12for the last 72 hours this desolate expanse of mountainous wilderness in southern
02:18Utah has been the girls home how long they stay here depends on how well they
02:24behave it could be five weeks or five months
02:30yeah she's taking the piss
02:36yeah she's taking the piss
02:38I can't it's the fucking bone
02:40there's no bath there is no shower there is no toilet there is no TV there is no phone
02:46there's there's nothing there's not even a fucking tent
02:48the chances of escape are so narrow and even if you escape from the group you've got to find your way out of this
03:00I think we're just gonna have to stay and stick it out
03:04for indulged teenage girls life in the wilderness comes as a shock
03:08okay so this is what we call the latrine poo poo
03:14maybe a little more poo and then we take a handful of dirt and you don't want to
03:20totally fill up the hole it's gonna stink but you want to put enough over it where it just kind of lightly
03:26covers it up with with real poo it's gonna stick and kind of cover a little bit
03:30yeah so some different um everyone has their own positions that they like to do
03:36so you're gonna have to experiment with that
03:38be careful in terms of the boot
03:40like don't get poo on the boot
03:42get in a nice squatting position
03:44you're quite sick
03:46you're too graphic
03:48that's very spreading
03:50trying to get a person personable
03:52about um bodily details
03:54out here it just happens
03:56bloody hell
03:58yesterday Danny, Julia and Georgie
04:00were so badly behaved they were split off from the rest of the group
04:04they're now going to hike to catch up with them
04:06you guys just take the piss all the time
04:08Aspen believed that a nice long walk with a heavy pack
04:12is just what these girls need
04:14hiking brings emotions to the surface
04:16in that it brings up a lot of physical discomfort
04:18most students that come here have never done anything like this before
04:22especially with a 35 40 pound pack on their back
04:26so struggling along can be really stressful
04:28so that sort of drops their guard
04:30drops their defenses and lets them experience and think about other things
04:34the trouble is the girls are still thinking about the wrong things
04:38base
04:40that'll get people moving
04:42Danny's drug of choice was a super strength amphetamine called base
04:46so it's gonna be pretty amazing when we get to camp without base today isn't it
04:50you get me a load of base
04:52now we're running over that field
04:54if I had an ounce of base I wouldn't give it to you
04:56back home Danny was going nowhere fast
05:00we're joining Chris tonight
05:02and that's our daughter Daniella
05:04she spends more time running away than she does at home
05:06in the last 24 hours
05:08I've got drunk, got stoned
05:10smashed windows
05:12and stayed out all night
05:14there's been reported as a missing person
05:18about 70 or 80 times in the last 12 months
05:20I've got no idea
05:22I'm tired of running away from home
05:24I've got a whole lot of family
05:25she's not bothered about
05:26her little sister
05:28her brother
05:29me
05:30Joanna
05:31extended family
05:32she's just interested in what she wants to do
05:34with the only way out of the program being to graduate the course or get their parents to remove them
05:42Aspen are used to kids pulling all kinds of stunts in a bid to go home
05:46Danny has asthma
05:48but up until today it's not been a problem
05:50Can I leave my inhaler?
05:52Oh, you alright?
05:54No, because I won't fucking give you my inhaler
05:56Am I giving you your inhaler?
05:58Yeah, for about 10 minutes of asking
06:00I, I just, you just asked me a minute ago
06:02less than 30 seconds ago
06:04Yeah
06:10It ain't going into my lungs because I can't breathe, it ain't roughly
06:14What happens when you, when this happens at home?
06:16Like my mum takes me to the hospital
06:18I want my mum to come out
06:20I want my mum to come out
06:21She can do it
06:22She can help me
06:23She can help me
06:24She can help me out
06:25Unit 8, this is Quest 8
06:27Go ahead
06:29Hey Corrine, uh, we started hiking
06:31and, uh, Danny, student Danny has been complaining of an asthma attack
06:37and she says her inhaler isn't helping her
06:39like, uh, that she's not getting enough air to even draw the inhaler in
06:43and if we could get any medical history
06:46other than, uh, what's in her paperwork, that'd be great
06:49Someone from base just got off the phone with your mum
06:58Yeah
06:59And your mum said that you've never been to the hospital for this
07:01I've been to the walk
07:03I've been to the walk
07:06And that you need to calm yourself down and you'll be okay
07:08So that's
07:10That was within 30 seconds ago that she got off the phone
07:11I've been to the hospital with this
07:12I've been to the hospital with this
07:13I'm just telling ya
07:14I just want to
07:15I need to get
07:16I want to go home
07:17My gut reaction after working with kids for so long was that
07:20uh, a lot of it was theatrics
07:22she was trying to get out of here and that that was it it was the bottom line
07:25it you know we we saw it turn into I can't breathe to I need my mother to I
07:30just want to go home so you know she was she was playing she was she was trying
07:34to get out of here but Danny's mum doesn't want her back just yet the
07:42thought of Daniela coming home and being exactly the same petrifies make it
07:49couldn't it couldn't have gone on at we couldn't have continued any longer the
07:53way that she was with Daniela being over in America I think she has had a lot of
07:57time to think what what it is that she actually has here you don't always
08:01realize what you've got until it's until you've not got it anymore nothing that's
08:04position that Daniel is in at the moment the girls get back together but they're
08:18not happy for love oh my god if I spend any more time with six other girls in
08:23my life I think I will end up going mad
08:36after a week in the wilderness the girls are finally back together come on in Danny
08:41come on Julia Danny and Georgie have rejoined the rest of the group on stage
08:47two of Aspen's program coyote it means for the first time all of the girls have
08:53the privilege of hot food and free speech welcome back to the group it's like pretty
08:59cool because that the group is that a group again it's a lot better now we can
09:03actually speak to people I would have never predicted that I would be saying with a
09:06smile on my face whilst holding down a bit of cordage so I can put a large rock
09:10on it I'm a coyote now I still want to go home though
09:24throughout their stay the girls only contact with their families is by letter
09:28for kids more used to mobiles and than that it's an ordeal the girls are feeling a
09:34little homesick and feeling like no one cares and they kind of got thrown out into
09:39the middle of the wild and so the letters are at least a reminder that there's people
09:44back at home who care about them
10:04these are the girls first messages from home oh wow this is long is it from is it your mom no
10:21it's just said I love you despite everything that's happened and just try and stay there because what you're doing is for you and no one else I'm so used to see my mom and dad every day
10:39for Lucy who once attacked her parents with a hockey stick there's a change of heart
10:49it makes me realize that I do actually love them because at first I thought what a bitch under me
10:55yeah but now I know she's thinking of me and that and it just I don't know because I don't know
11:00the crying that it just touches me like because I love her so much and that and I've never really told her
11:06it's boring
11:10she could have made it a bit longer look how long it is it's pathetic
11:15this probably took her three minutes cheers
11:20Georgie is the only girl not to get a letter from her mom my mom will write to me she's
11:28probably wanted to get my aunt in first but hopefully the next one will be for my mom
11:34when Georgie arrived in Utah she was totally out of control her mom had had enough of her behavior
11:47Georgie will always do what Georgie wants to do come hell or high water Georgie's had quite a few
11:53run-ins with the law she's stolen my sister's car I like driving there was one occasion when my handbag
12:00was up in my bedroom she was like lying in bed and I went and pretended to cuddle her and she said oh hi
12:06mom you know give me a nice cuddle I lifted the wallet while I was hugging her yet again I'd been
12:12fooled and completely manipulated I just eat sleep spend her money on drugs
12:19no surprise then that Georgie's mum hasn't written
12:25did you get a letter
12:26thanks a fucking time I will kill them with their fucking shit
12:41just get a big rock and like accidentally hit someone you'd feel guilty but you'd feel pretty
12:49glad yeah do you know I mean with emotions running high it doesn't take much for things to kick off
12:56something as simple as losing a scourer during evening chores starts a squabble and everyone's
13:03blaming poppy scourer's gone missing two different stories why are you acting so fucking clueless you're a fucking reader I don't even get involved this is just stupid she's admitted that she had it last oh my god Lucy don't get involved oh my god do you want to shut up I hate this stupid bitch because she's just so annoying she's a stuck up snobbing me to slap
13:29she's not pulling her weight she's not pulling her weight like this morning she did nothing
13:34last night she did hardly anything 20 minutes after the group rejoins look what happens
13:38everybody's arguing I think everyone's had enough for everybody it's like dog eat dog really I suppose
13:45I don't see it as teamwork at all the point of coyote is to learn how to function with the group to do group
13:52chores and where this group is right now is there's a lot of blame still a lot of externalizing their
13:57problems like well it's the staffs fault or it's all these things that made me mad instead of realizing
14:03that their emotions are actually their responsibility I'm just fed up with them stuff fucking bunch of hippies
14:10you can't do this every day
14:17the bad feeling continues into the night I hate Julian I hate Danny they're both like a pair of bitches
14:25the problem probably is she's spoiled little brat I will knock her the fuck out if I ever see her out
14:31of here oh my god if I spend any more time with like six other girls in my life on my own for this
14:40amount of time I think I will end up going mad just as the girls had all made it to the program's second
14:51level coyote they've jeopardized their progress by misbehaving and could be demoted back to the
14:57first level mouse they've all been put on silence part of the expectation of being a coyote is to be
15:04compliant respectful you can be gonna be a bloody mouse if I fucking talk in the fucking morning yeah
15:11why the fuck do we have to be so fucking quiet Georgie I mean I hate to point this out to you but this is in
15:17summer camp like you're not here to do when you want to do things as you want to do things like
15:22me I know that but you can't expect some to wake up in the morning and sit here quietly until you
15:27decided we have the right to speak the girls aren't happy but then neither of the staff I'm not
15:33interested in being told that I'm fucking retarded again yeah what happened last night was not acceptable
15:38and cannot continue and will not I agree that we like we need to lay down the law and say this kind
15:44of beat direct attack and threats is not acceptable the group right now is in a state far far below
15:53reasonable standards and we need to change it we really need to shift things up the the hand that
15:59we had before in the poker game wasn't working and now we're cheating we're changing games so there are a
16:06couple things I want to say first like individually some of you have been making really good progress as
16:10a group you guys have sucked there's really no other way to put it like you guys have been
16:16disrespectful to each other you've been disrespectful to staff you've asked you guys to do things you do
16:21things when you want to I also feel like there are a couple of you here who have also through your
16:26behavior and choices are choosing to actually be here and do the program and right now those those two
16:34most strongly point out for me are Lydia and Julie I'd love if you guys would come with me and we could sit down we
16:39could have a chat about what we're going to be doing from here on out it's quite difficult when you split a group up into
16:47four people and three people and then you bring them back just like that and you expect us to be all oh that's all right I'm
16:53I'm really used to this it's really quite difficult the expectations are simple when we ask you to do something I didn't ask I wasn't
17:00asking you I was asking Monica I wasn't asking you I was asking Monica Lydia and Julia were the only girls to avoid getting
17:08involved in last night's squabble I can't believe it I haven't really been that good so I don't really deserve this
17:14I've been quite disrespectful to staff yesterday when I was cooking I'm not saying that you guys have been perfect
17:22I'm just saying overall generally I feel like you've been moving forward thank you I'm so proud of myself
17:30because I feel like I've learned everything I need to learn already I've learned that much in like nearly two weeks
17:35do you know what this is a fucking therapy program right we're all here to get better and you're telling us
17:40we're bad well we fucking know that that's why we're fucking here the the level of disrespect
17:46that comes out of your mouth is astounding you're all in my fucking face right and you're all fucked up
17:53and you're all fucking retarded I'm trying to speak what do we have to do so we can go and join the others
18:01here's the deal all of you from this point forward are mice
18:04the girls must start the course again they've just delayed their return home by another two weeks
18:20Georgie can you hold up please
18:26Georgie is threatening to kill staff member Daniel who she blames for her demotion
18:34Daniel keep going
18:36staff have no choice but to stop
18:41Georgie I'm getting stressed out because you check complete bullets you never you never shout you never do anything you're just a little mad
18:58okay I'm just a little bit worried about how far you're getting away from here
19:02what I need you to do Georgie and I know this is kind of hard for you because it's been a really
19:08go back to camp because everything's gonna get mad yes bollocks sorry you're ready to go with the
19:14expectation what the fuck are you people on in a bid to stop the pandemonium staff split the group
19:23again it's divide and conquer you're leaving us here you're all evil shit
19:38the main group is now down to just four girls Lydia and Julia are the sole coyotes left poppy and Georgie
19:51have joined them but only as mice the group hike in silence for five hours it's always my goal and
20:02there's a big shift or a dramatic change in the group to make a big physical move with the group that's continuing on so that
20:10they know they've left the problems behind that they're down this hill that
20:14this isn't this isn't who we are anymore that's back there we've come up to this
20:18high spot and we've come to a place where we're gonna work together and we're
20:22gonna be respectful and we're gonna change while Lydia and Julia keep their coyote privileges poppy
20:33and Georgie have lost everything you will earn the privilege to have your own shelter you will earn
20:40the privilege to eat hot with the group and you'll earn the privilege to speak with the group so if they
20:45step out of line now they'll get sent back to the other group you want to make it and the other group
20:51are having even less fun Lucy's been on the rampage now for six hours she's refusing to return to camp
21:04Lucy's behavior would come as no surprise to her parents where Jeff and Rachel Tyson and that's our
21:13daughter Lucy her violent tantrums are tearing our family apart she's a kick me just put hockey stick
21:35in my face she's punched me a couple of times so like my mom and dad were driving right in the car
21:45then they crash and then I get lots of money ain't that good I just don't know what what the way to
21:52deal with it is I'm absolutely lost why'd you look at me like that
21:56staff have to resort to physical force to get Lucy back to camp it's perhaps the first time anyone stood
22:09up to her yeah what stupid physically intervening is definitely my least favorite thing about this job
22:16easily she's just stubborn like that determination is amazing you know she just doesn't want to do
22:30what she doesn't want to do and I hope that she comes around but an hour later Lucy still hasn't come
22:39around you're fucking screwed up in the head you know what fucking twisted bitch I'm gonna fucking fuck you
22:59all this and they've only been here nine days tantrums there's no point so I just can't be
23:24that's trying no more and triumphs I'm having enough of failing in my life and I want to start
23:31succeeding away from the main group Rosie Lucy and Danny are waking up to the realization that they've
23:52now got to start the course all over again it's a good way of stopping someone having a stroke
23:58to tell you that because I don't want to have to keep going through it all again because I hate repeating
24:03myself there's actually no point in doing anything today why is that because I'm a fucking mouse
24:11you have your shelter here you have those trees over there like last time the rules of mouse are silent
24:22and staying separate but this time staff are not budging on boundaries language keeping it entirely
24:29appropriate disrespect isn't going to be tolerated anymore okay you have made your fucking point okay
24:37goodbye the girls are now on what Aspen calls quest the rules are even tougher and they must earn their
24:45way back to the main group through assignments and good behavior our goal right now is complete compliance
24:52complete respect complete appropriateness appropriateness not being a word in Lucy's vocabulary she's writing an abusive
25:00letter to her parents will you come here a minute please I don't know how to spell a word I'm trying
25:07to spell what's in what word basket B-A-S-T-A-R-D-S-O is it an E who's this for my mum and dad seems pretty angry
25:21Andre how do you spell bastard she doesn't know she won't tell me I'm not particularly interested in helping you spell that either
25:28oh my god I think if you're gonna send that letter it can be misspelled if it needs to be
25:37at home in Lancaster Lucy's parents have just received their first letters from Utah it's like
25:48Christmas so you're sort of diving in to get your present oh god dear mum you always said you would
25:59bail me out if I'm in trouble so I aren't you my life is a misery at the moment you are fucking me
26:05up by making me be out here you have to help me else you are going to lose your daughter forever and
26:10I mean it because if you don't pull me out as soon as I get back I'm gone please come and get me
26:15I'm working on my anger and will continue if you come and get me please please please please please
26:21please please get me and that's it mum and dad yesterday I nearly had my fucking wrist broken
26:29oh god and unless you pull me out you will be sorry you are two big wankers
26:34I've been looking forward to this so much all week just to know that she was okay and
26:41I just oh this is what it's been like living with her and this is why she's had to go away
26:53I just wish she could come home and be nice but until she can stop this she can't come home
27:01because I can't do this anymore and just having it in letter form it makes me realise how horrible
27:08it was when it was actually shouted in my face
27:10back at the main group poppy and Georgie have now spent 72 hours on mouse
27:27it's a very long time to sit in silence but it's long enough to sow the seeds of change
27:38it's funny because you don't think this place is affecting you at all it's just a fucking forest
27:43I'm fucking gonna kill fucking mum when I get home she's gonna have hell to pay and it's just like
27:48no she's not she's doing me a favour and I couldn't walk up to my mum and nick a load of money off her now
27:54I couldn't do it honestly I couldn't and I couldn't take the car I couldn't I just don't
28:02think I could do it I don't really know what's changed I think being out here it's just like
28:08your mind wanders and you're just like who the fuck was I to do all of that to my family I had no right
28:13it's a shame that I have to be sent to the middle of nowhere to learn this
28:19over at quest there's been no such shift in attitude for Lucy she's given up
28:28there's no point so I just can't be asked trying no more I'm getting nowhere so I'll give up really
28:36I just want to get back to the other group and that's it that ain't even gonna happen really
28:42so I can't behave myself well I want to move from here because I'm looking at the same place Lucy's
28:50refusing to hike I'll do my part when I want to do my part how about you do it now no Lucy's
28:58particularly challenging to work with because her whole life she's been used to being the center of
29:02her universe and basically situations and people revolve around her and she will dictate the action
29:10however the kids behave Aspen don't believe in shouting at them so how does this relate to Lucy's
29:18anger problem I don't know but Lucy's pissed off at the moment okay so you are mad right now yeah okay
29:25it seems to me that what runs your life is is your anger and your pissed offness like as soon as those
29:36two things come into the scene like forget it there's no more decision-making it's it's a done
29:43deal just treat me like five-year-old sometimes Lou you know do you have to consider that people treat
29:51you the way you behave Lucy takes about half an hour moaning and then she finally gets a pack on
29:57after 10 minutes of trying Norman finally persuades Lucy to hike I can't walk my food come on Lou I'm having no longer
30:08a break we're nearly there she stopped that every 30 seconds I know but it's hard for her well for us as well we have to get on with it though
30:21how long till our next break I think of I think of the physical difficulty it's kind of the money you have to pay in order to get your anger control
30:34all right we need a break proper is it how much further is it I'm not gonna tell you you're not knackered
30:42in four hours Lucy's managed to walk just two miles this might seem like it's going all wrong
30:56right because we're not moving and all it is is like wow here is another thing for us
31:03or a different thing for us to work with she's still got to do exactly what I'm doing I mean Danny's
31:08doing otherwise it's just completely out of order and I'll just refuse to do it if she's getting to
31:12her way after 17 sit downs Rosie and Danny have had enough Danny who faked an asthma attack on a hike
31:20just 10 days ago now lays down the law I've come to like do as we're told and you're being told to
31:26walk so it's not being funny but can we walk peer pressure has won its way and we're off like a pack of
31:34speeding tortoises for Rosie and Danny a week on quest has made a difference I have surprised myself I
31:44didn't think I'd be able to do any of it and I have a week ago I was doing anything to go home a week
31:52ago I was just kicking off anyone because I was winding me up now I'm just I just want to go on
31:57with the program because the program ain't actually that bad the last three or four days
32:01has been the longest I've spent without having a tantrum she said to Beth you've done so to me you've
32:07made me a nice person because normally if I get back from a three-mile hike I'll sit down and refuse to
32:14do anything but I went and made the latrine and collected wood so there must be something going on at home
32:20Rosie had been refusing to do anything for years I'm Jenny Deeks and that is my daughter Rosie she's
32:2915 but she doesn't go to school anymore and most days she doesn't even get out of bed Rosie I just
32:37want you to get up some days I just wake up and I just feel so low I want you to get up now I've got
32:45five minutes right I wake her up repeatedly and she goes back to sleep and eventually I gotta go to
32:51work because I have to go to work I go to school if it's a good week about twice I feel disappointed
32:58I do feel like Rosie's throwing a life away I hate myself for it but I sometimes feel I'm just letting
33:04her walk all over me in their weekly meeting therapist Lauren wants Rosie to think about how
33:13far she's come how would you describe the new Rosie as opposed to the the Rosie I first met I realize I
33:21am really changing as a person and I'm getting myself confidence but I haven't had myself confidence
33:31since I was about six years old and it just feels so good to have it back and in the future I'd like
33:38to keep it I'm gonna put something in there to help kids move on Aspen believe in marking their progress
33:49with ceremonies this is so bizarre Rose you've come a long way since you've been in this program
34:02and we'd like to acknowledge that you've worked really hard the past couple of days to face the
34:13burdens that you carry around what you have in your arms right now is an enormous burden what we're
34:21gonna ask of you is to stand on this log and walk with your burden and I truly want you to feel the
34:28burden of of everything of your depression of your anger when you get to the end you can drop the burden
34:43and when I commit to being respectful to my family and to other people around me I'm gonna stop making
34:52myself depressed from taking drugs and stuff I'm had enough of failing in my life and I want to start
35:00succeeding I'm ready for you to do that too I've never felt completely happy in my entire life there's
35:11not been a moment well I haven't worried about something or in doing something I would never
35:18felt happy so I'd like to know what it feels like back at the main group things are also looking up
35:32poppy and Georgie have made it off mouse and back to coyote but Georgie's still waiting for a letter from her
35:40mom today Georgie's letter is from a friend did you go in from your mom no a couple of weeks ago Georgie
35:58would have kicked off now she just walks off she's able to contain her anger Georgie puts on a brave face
36:06a lot I think most of the girls have been getting consistent letters Georgie hasn't heard from her
36:11mom much at all let's not my feet cry ain't gonna get a letter here any quicker and to be honest there's
36:20no point in me stamping my feet and crying so take it as it is but therapist Lauren wants Georgie to delve
36:30deeper into her feelings I wish she would be more open about what's going on for you
36:36hmm why because that's what we do it's got to hurt you more than you're letting on I can't be bothered to let it anymore
36:48okay obviously it does and it's just gonna be up inside and one day I'll go mad but I can't be bothered to
36:56I mean obviously every time mail comes in and I don't get a letter from her obviously it's just
37:01gonna be that being stabbed it's just like but it goes away so it didn't really matter so yeah that's
37:10that back in Crawley Georgie's mum and gets an urgent phone call hi and it's Lauren how are you I'm fine
37:22thank you how's things going with you oh very well before Georgie left for Utah and relationship with
37:28her was at breaking point she hasn't been writing because she wasn't sure how she'd be received Lauren
37:35wants and to reconnect with her daughter my concern is about Georgie yes she really wants to hear from
37:43you right okay just thinking to myself there um what's going through your mind what are you feeling
37:53it's probably quite um it's quite nice for me to feel that she's that emotional that she's wanting to hear
38:02from me good good and I guess I'm wondering when the last time you and Georgie just sat down and had
38:12just a good talk not for a long time it just gets you know you've you've only got to have one word out
38:22of place and then it triggers with Georgie and she's off and then we'll have lost the moment completely
38:28I would imagine and that you probably have a lot that you would like to say to your daughter
38:35I do I'll have a good old letter writing session tonight while it's all still sort of raw I think
38:45great thanks Lauren take care at quest Lucy's got a reply to her abusive letter begging to be pulled out
38:55it's not the response she was hoping for the letters you sent have really upset mom obviously have a
39:08problem controlling your anger and the way you direct it they said I upset my mom I didn't mean to
39:24it just kind of happened I feel pretty guilty about that is the penny finally starting to drop
39:42about her behavior I didn't know it was that bad because you don't when you're in a situation but
39:49then when you're away from it like you realize and I've realized now so I've got to try do you know
39:57what I mean try it and then get my anger sorted out and make it up to my mom it's gonna be like
40:02mom I'll make you breakfast in bed you'll get food poisoning but I'll do it do you know what I mean
40:08there are tears before bedtime and a bittersweet farewell I think the group's better off without her
40:19after a week on quest Danny and Rosie are ready to rejoin the group Lucy will be staying on alone
40:38you're keeping your sleep until we go or something I think we might be doing that Danny and Rosie have
40:45both finished all their objectives Lucy on the other hand has really lagged behind so she'll be remaining
40:51on quest we're thinking that it might really aggravate Lucy some more if they say goodbye to her I feel
40:59very sly I think it'll be more of an impact if all of a sudden you know when she decides to rise out of
41:09her shelter you know Lucy will look around and Danny and Rosie are gone when Lucy wakes up her resolution
41:19on anger management goes out the window unit eight unit eight this is group eight I feel sad when I see
41:37you this upset because I can see how much pain you're in right now I wonder fucking why you fucking dream
41:44me like shit you can fucking get away with it because you got fucking screwed up country I'm not
41:50fucking criminal all right I've got fucking anger problem and you fucking make it fucking worse as it
41:56happens Lucy won't be on her own for long we want to put poppy on quest poppy's been behaving badly as
42:05well and staff have decided to demote her to the other group but at Aspen girls are purposefully not
42:12informed of staff decisions I don't know what's going on I don't have a say in my life anymore life
42:20in Utah has been tough for a girl who was used to calling all the shots at home the person in
42:29control of this house is poppy because everybody else revolves around poppy and her behavior got my
42:36way away since I was born so not being able to get her own way at Aspen came as a shock and she's
42:46been acting up ever since poppy you can help me I've just clean my nails for real maybe I have just
42:54clean my nails I'm really cold sometimes doing sit-ups in your sleeping bag helps no no oh fire and
43:02hot chocolate five pages on how you feel that your actions have affected the rest of your group
43:10another thing is if you're interrupting me and just having kind of a back-and-forth power struggle
43:22now just one-on-one I'm not getting a sense that you're ready to talk with your peers do you see
43:31right now that you're being disrespectful to me maybe you're being faithful to me okay my job
43:35poppy is to help you identify when you're being disrespectful so that you can know your job is
43:40to piss me off enough so I can hate you you need a slap woman I've decided I'm not here to make
43:46friends I can give a toss about what people think about me but suspecting that she might be demoted to
43:52quest poppy suddenly seems to care he's gonna need to want to take me back down to quest then seen a
44:04pattern in the last couple days of being disrespectful it really won't happen again
44:09poppy does a lot of staff shopping she'll go to one staff if she doesn't get the answer that she
44:28wants she'll go to the next staff generally the behaviors and the communication you know patterns
44:42that we see here are related to what happens at home I wonder if this is a conversation like you
44:47have had at home before no it really seems like she's used charms in life to you know work with
44:57people to get what she wants but this time poppy's not going to get what she wants all of the girls
45:04are finally beginning to realize that bad behavior isn't rewarded yes I think at home she's extremely
45:13spoiled and gets her own way a lot of the time probably a lot of us do but I think it's showing
45:20more through poppy I think she deserves to go to that to my little crap I think the group's better off
45:32without her the girls have now spent two and a half weeks in the wilderness and Georgie's hoping that
45:44tonight's letter drop will include that long-awaited letter from her mum thank you they three letters
45:52Georgie's finally got her wish my darling Georgie I love you very much and hope that you don't look
46:03upon this as a punishment but as an experience that would be of great benefit to you and that
46:07you use it to get yourself out of the mess you seem to be making of your life at the moment
46:11I know life has not been easy for you the last few years but please don't waste your life
46:21I really cannot live with the lies stealing emotional bullying and the drug taking anymore
46:26it is such it is putting such a wall between us you need us you need to see it's not making you
46:34happy and I've shed too many tears you need to like yourself again before we can all like you
46:40more we want your Georgie back love hugs and kisses mum
46:46she said some stuff that needed to be said
47:00like we don't sit there and talk about it normally so I needed to know how she feels before I can change
47:14as the course gets even tougher
47:27poppy goes one step too far melodramatic look sweat and it's last chance saloon for Lucy
47:39are you ready to talk to me I'm not talking to you you're a fucking knobhead
47:44look forward why don't you wait
