A light truck crashed into a market in South Korea on Thursday (Nov 13), ploughing 150 metres along a passageway lined with stalls before coming to a halt, killing two people and injuring 18, according to emergency officials and media reports.

00:13market sidewalk at around 10.55 a.m., reversing roughly 28 meters before traveling about 150
00:20meters through the crowded area. The two victims, both women in their 70s, suffered cardiac arrest
00:26and were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, arrested immediately, claimed the brakes failed,
00:32though police suspect he may have accidentally pressed the accelerator.
00:36Preliminary checks confirmed he was not under the influence of alcohol.
00:41He remains in police custody as authorities examine the vehicle to determine the exact cause of the crash.
