00:00Two and three. Alright, ready for Elsie Nelson and Lillian Nelson was reacting in Hexta Tan, custom Jessica Rabbit doll of La Donna Rae paint.
00:18Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel.
00:21Today we have a new doll to customize and that is the New Love Donna doll created by RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Pearl.
00:29Also known as Matthew Lent.
00:32La Donna is the new DIY alternative fashion doll that will be whoever you want her to be.
00:38She can be purchased at KidsRobot.com and retails for $39.99 and I think that is very very reasonable for a doll.
00:47And now she's here in our hands and we can actually customize her.
00:52Here we have the blonde La Donna.
00:55I love how exaggerated her features are and it is meant to mirror an over the top drag queen silhouette.
01:01So many characters popped into my head and one of them is Jessica Rabbit.
01:06They obviously share the same body shape and I knew that I had to make her since you guys have a request for her too.
01:13I wish she actually came with different skin tones instead of just one like grey color.
01:18It just makes it easier for me to create human characters.
01:23I know that she is coming out with a full line, a full fashion line in the future.
01:28So I hope that option is possible.
01:30I hope she has a bunch of skin tones lined up for La Donna.
01:35She is fully articulated and her torso piece is actually squishy.
01:40And I feel like you can even remove it if you don't want the bigger bust.
01:44Let's go start by removing her hair.
01:46La Donna's head is very unique so a needle nose pliers will be quite helpful when scraping the insides of her brains.
01:55After everything is cleaned up I will start to add a mixture of pinks and beige and yellows to give her a human skin tone.
02:04I mixed acrylic paint with Mod Podge to help it adhere to the doll and I painted it layer by layer, thin layers.
02:12Overall I think I painted a total of 7 or more thin layers until it was completely opaque.
02:19So I'm just going to do that to her body and also her head.
02:22I refrain from touching it further after I painted it because I don't want the paints to crack.
02:28Obviously because of Mod Podge it is a little more flexible than usual.
02:32It's not as dry and crusty.
02:34But I just don't want to risk breaking the paint job that I did on her body because that would be very very sad.
02:42After that I popped her head back to her body and made sure to prime everything with Mr. SuperClear and also make sure to wear a mask every time you spray.
02:52Using my watercolour pencils I sketch out her features in Jessica wavits like this.
02:58She really does have an exaggerated sleepy eye look but her high brows balances out the look.
03:05She really does have an extra light to see how she's going to be.
03:15Because we are technically drawing on paint and not necessarily the doll's actual surface.
03:20Try to be more careful than usual because paint can still be scraped off and you don't want that either.
03:27The watercolor pencils also show up very grainy and I'm not really into that look as much so I will cover the lights. I need to be very clean and sharp with paint.
03:41I just always remember like Jollibee and Wendy's from the Hexatan series. Oh my god. This looks ginormously annoying.
03:50Roof Paws Trackers. Yeah I do love Roof Paws Trackers.
04:08It's Jessica Rabbit. Google those.
04:11Jessica Rabbit's eyes are very green which is very hard to see because her eyes are literally 90% almost closed.
04:18So I had to rewatch the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit because she had some scenes where she actually opens her eyes and stuff.
04:25And I actually Googled it to make sure that her eyes are green.
04:29So I tried so hard not to fully close her eyelids because I wanted her green eyes to still pop.
04:34Because green, purple, and red usually is such a good color combination.
04:39And it just creates kind of like a good harmony with the color story.
04:43Gizmo's eyes green.
04:45If you guys have not seen Who Frames Roger Rabbit, it is actually such an amazing movie.
04:52Who Frames Roger Rabbit.
04:53You've seen the cartoons from competing companies like Disney and War Bros.
04:58Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny.
04:59Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny.
05:00Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny.
05:01Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny.
05:02I know.
05:03What a movie.
05:04Side by side.
05:05It's kind of like those things where we always dream to have a collaboration of DC Universe and Marvel Universe.
05:11But it's kind of like, ugh, you know, it's not going to happen anymore.
05:16Where two competing companies work together to create one amazing film.
05:21And who framed Roger Rabbit?
05:23It's Jessica Rabbit.
05:24Check it out.
05:25I literally only watched this because of Jessica Rabbit, honestly.
05:29Like, I knew that she was a character there.
05:32I knew she was a big deal.
05:33I didn't know why she was a big deal.
05:35So I was like, let me watch this.
05:36And I was like, my God, literally every cartoon is here.
05:41I'm in Marvel Studios.
05:48Fantastic Four First Steps.
05:49Yes, I love Fantastic Four.
05:51I added light on the center of her lips to make it look bigger and poutier.
05:57As if it wasn't big enough.
06:07I'm also brushing her cleavage, her decolletage, her shoulders.
06:11And her collarbones, just so that it matches her face more.
06:21And then I give her lips some gloss.
06:24I don't know how much she manages since her hair...
06:26I don't like scary monsters.
06:28Don't start, please.
06:29And then her getting the hair stuck on the lips is very annoying.
06:31And lastly, I give her lashes, which will cast a shadow to make her look more sleepy.
06:40Jessica Rabbit's face.
06:46And now we're finally done with Jessica Rabbit's face.
06:50And so we can move on to her clothes.
06:53I start with her iconic purple gloves.
06:56The colors actually vary from time to time, but I will be using a dark purple stretchy fabric.
07:01I remove her hands by twisting it while pulling gently, and I sewed the fabric with the good sides facing it.
07:08No.
07:08Mm-hmm.
07:10People who've watched my channel will be like,
07:12Oh my God, the Christian is sewing me.
07:14Oh no, what is this going to look like?
07:16Ha ha ha.
07:17Me.
07:18What the fuck?
07:20After that, I turn it inside out and put her hands back in.
07:24I paint the gloves as close as the fabric to try-in patches.
07:37And that's it for the gloves.
07:41No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
07:54So Donna's body is very tricky, as you can see, but I sewed this outfit onto her so it's not going anywhere.
08:01And it's actually a two-piece.
08:03It's a top and also a skirt.
08:05And it actually blends really well.
08:16I wanted to keep her iconic high slit, and I secured some of it onto her legs with hot glue.
08:21For her shoes, Pearl said that she fits Monster High shoes, which is very true for the boots, but not for the heels.
08:30It was too big.
08:31Hasbro Disney shoes are also very big.
08:34Some Barbie shoes are actually perfect, and some barely fits.
08:39The one I'm using is a silk silk style shoe, and it kind of fits.
08:44I was actually going to make her pops with epoxy clay, but decided to use this instead because it looks really, really good.
08:51I'm just repainting it to give it a pink shimmer and glue it onto her feet.
08:55Technically, I could have chopped off Belladonna's heel, kind of like Cinderella's step-sisters, to fit the shoe.
09:07But I decided not to do that, so it's just hot glued onto her feet, which actually stays really well, too.
09:13So that's an option.
09:14Could you please stop that?
09:15No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
09:20Don't start, please.
09:21Don't start, please.
09:22With her knee blushing, I was looking at her, and her knees were, like, literally so quiet, and I was like, I need to put some blushing there.
09:31The final step is her crowning glory.
09:33She will be getting yarn hair today, and I'm just mixing this red and orange together.
09:38So, like, always, I prepared the acrylic yarn by brushing it out using two types of pet brushes.
09:43It's not necessary, but I find that the tangling is first reaching the length of the weft.
09:51I then switch to the metal brush to fine-tune the weft and make it more fluffy!
10:03Next, I take my hair straightener and run through the hair multiple times.
10:08It's crazy how different the weft looks and feels after you straighten it.
10:11Oh, my God, I only need you.
10:18I then take my hot glue, and I glue it straight to her head.
10:22I start with her bangs and move it to the name of her neck.
10:25You really do have to pre-plan where you want things to go, because if not, it's going to look a little messy.
10:30So, I just try to make sure...
10:32Look at that!
10:35Let's just grab it there!
10:37We have to make sure to give her the gold earrings to frame her face.
10:43So, another last-minute change.
10:45I'm actually going to replace Fladonna's hands with Barbie made-to-move hands.
10:50If you recognize these hands, go ahead and let me know in the comments below if you know.
10:54But I think it looks better as a Jessica Rabbit character, because she did have very, very small feet and hands in the movie.
11:00And I want to be as accurate as possible, so I'm just painting it again, like, the first one.
11:06I feel like it fits the Jessica Rabbit aesthetic a lot more to have the smaller thing to your hands.
11:11I feel like it's not...
11:14I feel like it.
11:16I feel like this whole thing is a feel from the store where I got it.
11:22Do you mean you can be...
11:22Then I take my metal chopsticks.
11:26A lot of people ask me what this is.
11:28This is a metal chopsticks that I heat up using my hair straightener.
11:32You can get this from Asian markets.
11:34You usually make sure it is metal.
11:36But I'm curling the ends of her hair to go inside,
11:38because her hair was actually inspired by Laura McCall's hairstyles in the vintage Hollywood days.
11:45So it's just very glamorous.
11:46It has a lot of soft waves in there.
11:49Jessica Rabbit obviously was a lot more of a simple wave.
11:51I think she has like one wave in there.
11:54But creating this hairstyle was very, very fun for me.
11:57It was actually kind of like styling my own wigs
12:00because I really love vintage hairstyles.
12:03And this was kind of like the same technique that I used for my wigs.
12:06I thoroughly enjoyed the process of her hair,
12:09which I actually thought I would have nightmares with.
12:12But surprisingly, it was very fun and easy for me.
12:21And now we're done.
12:23Jessica Rabbit.
12:25She is denouzi-allowing.
12:28Okay.
12:30Our feature presentation.
12:36Cog-tale?
12:43Cog-tale?
12:45Do you want some cog-tale?
12:47Betty, is that you?
12:49Oh, hey, Jack-frog.
12:51You're on tight, no seat.
12:53What are you doing here?
12:54Work's been kind of slow.
12:56The cog-tues went together.
12:58But I saw that in Jackie.
13:00Boop, boop, boop, boop.
13:01Yeah, you always do.
13:09Wow, I've never seen this place so packed.
13:12Yeah, it's always a full house every time Jessica comes up for us.
13:16Well, I guess it's rabbit season.
13:18Jessica Rabbit.
13:29Who's dating?
13:30Roger Rabbit.
13:31Oh, my goodness.
13:33Roger Rabbit was dating.
13:35Jessica Rabbit.
13:36Oh, my goodness.
13:37Husband and wife.
13:39Wife's husband.
13:41Who will love you?
13:43Why don't you do it now?
13:46Michael Fram's Roger Rabbit.
13:49Like some other man, too.
13:56Men's clothing.
13:58Oh, my goodness.
13:59Get up here.
14:00Get me some money.
14:02Jack Frost.
14:04Oh, my goodness.
14:06Why don't you do it now?
14:13Bye.
14:16Like some other man.
14:19Bye.
14:42To end this night,
14:44I would like to invite to the stage,
14:46the one who started it off,
14:48Betty, go up there. Show them what you've got.
15:18Alright, that was the end of Custom Just Carabidol from Hexatan. Thank you, Elsie Nelson and Lily Nelson.
