Michael Owen insists Liverpool have been 'playing very well in patches' and are not out of the title race
Transcript
00:00It's not over for Liverpool at all, no.
00:02Liverpool are actually taking a lot of criticism at the moment,
00:06but they're inconsistent, but they're not playing badly.
00:09You know, they lost to Manchester United in the last minute,
00:12well, they were the better team.
00:13They lost to Chelsea in the last minute at Stamford Bridge,
00:15and they were as good as Chelsea, played very well.
00:17They lost to Manchester City, lots of teams can lose to Manchester City at the Etihad.
00:21I mean, they're not playing badly.
00:22A few days before, they played against Real Madrid in the Champions League,
00:25and they were unbelievable.
00:26So they're playing very well in patches,
00:28they're just not very consistent at the moment.
00:30So I think if they were playing badly every week and losing,
00:33there'd be a worry, but they're actually playing well a lot of the time.
00:36And a little bit of bad luck, a little bit of consistency.
00:38I'm sure it will come back, but no, definitely not.
00:41We're in November.
00:42They're only eight points behind.
00:44You know, if they're eight points behind in March,
00:47then maybe it might be a struggle, but a long way to go.
