00:05whoa it can be very frustrating i do just kind of want to walk out it could take them to the
00:11very top this is made in korea i love you korea
00:17at the end of 2023 a uk search for raw undiscovered talent began auditions focused on dancing
00:31singing and personality five boys were chosen the last performance now give it your all
00:37they are reese james dexter blaze and ollie the aim was to create a new k-pop inspired british super
00:49group we're looking for a boy band that can take over the world k-pop first out of south korea in
00:55the early 1990s and changed the music landscape forever it's a hybrid ranging from pop to rmb to
01:04hip-hop to rock to edm it's also a very visual genre fancy outfits highly choreographed national teams
01:13it's now become a global phenomenon in 2023 six of the top 20 best-selling artists in the world
01:22were k-pop and 90 billion streams were by k-pop idols blackpink have been awarded mbes by king charles
01:29espos sold out the o2 17 of taking glastonbury by storm and one of the biggest k-pop festivals is sm town
01:40with 120 000 fans that is the boys first stop on their k-pop adventure
01:46we left here fro it was rainy gray and cold and we got on a plane 14 hours later it was just like boom
02:00here you are
02:07i don't think i realized how upscale and how big it is absolutely mental it was amazing i think that was
02:14our first place where we went okay we can see what we're getting ourselves into
02:21there are about 200 million fans worldwide and the industry is estimated to be worth five billion dollars
02:31i think we'll be on a growth trail i think for the next seven eight years hopefully more so
02:36it was mind-blowing the vocals were flawless the dance moves were precise the performance was just
02:52incredible it sort of set the buyer very very high standard
02:55we went backstage to get some tips from some of the k-pop idols who had performed starting with the
03:04incredible prize we'll do our official greeting go
03:13we don't have one we don't have one yet how did you come up with rise as your name our name is kind of
03:21like a combination of the words rise and realize and we kind of have like a team bottle sort of like to
03:30rise and realize our dreams in a way oh nice yeah it's cool
03:34and then the legendary tan from waving came to see us so what was your first experience performing at
03:44like sm town i'm very nervous at first and then with the year after i debuted i become more like
03:51comfortable like on stage so it gets like easier as you go on yes you learn the tips and the tricks
03:57after like you perform like one after another so i feel like you learn along the way yeah
04:04definitely one of the most full-scale concerts i've seen in a while
04:15i'll put it next to taylor sweat huge huge it was amazing
04:29as we came out we met some fans even though you know we didn't even know it was possible to have
04:34fans before we'd even really started
04:40made i'd say probably all five of us very happy
04:46that was amazing we've met one of our first fans what can we say
04:49on the drive to the house we actually got to uh see soul on the way through it was like something
05:02out of a batman movie
05:03the lights were just insane there's so much life in the city it's amazing but it was also quite
05:15daunting because i haven't actually lived this far away from home before during the time in korea the
05:21boys will be living together in the fashionable soul district of ittawan
05:28okay here we go oh my look in the kitchen
05:33yo oh my god yo wow i think i know which room i want already
05:39the house is so sick downstairs we've got like games room mirrors so we can practice our dances
05:49i'm on the next level
05:54hi i'm dexter i'm 22. i've been a performer ever since i was a little kid and i've been dreaming about
06:00doing something like this that's such a cute room so i want this one i can't lie i would say i'm an
06:05attention seeker but when i'm performing i definitely want everyone to look at me yeah
06:09i mean who doesn't love loads of people applauding you
06:15it's just fun
06:19ah do you remember this one i was just so proud of you this is how i'd like you to dress all the time
06:25i love the like tank top with the smart trousers whilst in south korea i'll probably miss my mom
06:31the most i see her every day in london you know i live with her spending my time with her so it
06:35would definitely be hard but it's worth it
06:41let me show you how to go what is that wait is that actually someone at the door just looking around
06:46the house and the doorbell rang and a lovely lady arrived called joy our translator and she was
06:51going to tell us what was going to be happening over the next 100 days every week you guys are
06:55going to prepare a performance different performance every week and you guys will be
06:58evaluated by hijun the head of training and every trainee goes through her but i do have to let you
07:05know that it's not guaranteed that everyone's going to be there at the end of the program
07:10not everybody makes it through the program
07:14yeah wait we're not going to make it is this one that's going to be caught
07:19well i can't really say much because he's just going to be in charge of evaluating you guys
07:23you guys are going to meet her at the end of the week for your first evaluation
07:27what she said about not all of us will make it i'm not feeling too great wait one of us one of us
07:35we could all be cut blaze definitely took the news the hardest but that is the business at the end of
07:40the day you know if you if you can't keep up you get cut and that's that's how the industry works
07:44indeed it does the first thing any boy band needs is a sound
07:52sm entertainment believe this song will work for them speaking body like we're selling for
07:57understand can you feel the vibes and this is the choreography they'll be learning to accompany the song
08:05okay let's go five six
08:14k-pop is technically difficult as the choreography needs to be in perfect unison
08:19teaching them the skills to achieve this is sungchan park
08:22oh that's hot yeah absolutely honestly i'm i am slow at picking up choreo and tum tum done
08:37i'm james i'm 23 i'm from huddisfield in the uk around sheep and cows let me try that one again let me run that one around
08:45i have a twin brother called lewis we post dance videos online and we've created our own dance
08:51trends i think standing now on our main page we have 5.6 million followers
08:58this opportunity is huge i want to learn that's what i want to do i want to learn i want to soak up
09:04everything i can can you feel my room for me it's my main discipline which means i can really really
09:13appreciate the sort of intricacies of the movement five and six and seven and eight
09:25i'm not super good at picking up dance i come from all like a singing modeling background
09:30one more time sorry
09:33yeah you got it you got it okay yeah um we'll see step and slide off roll and roll kick
09:43two two two two clap right from the start i found the choreo tough freestyling is my forte because i
09:50struggle to follow direction i'm very do things on my own kind of a guy 일단 개인 개인적인
09:55feedback we go we got is a team is a new group inica to come detail a little bit bad for our
10:07choreographer on the first training day i don't think he really worked with a group of boys like us
10:12before our coordination wasn't wasn't great it's about looking like a team and looking the same so you
10:18have a bit different flavors it's definitely hard um i'm gonna have to put in the work but yeah it's fun
10:25hi i'm ollie i'm 20 years old and i'm from sunderland i went to school in darren cathedral
10:32so i sung in the choir there i've always grown up with just my mom my nana my grandad
10:37look after yourself right now i know that this is your dream yeah you know you'll work hard i think
10:42performing was passed on to me for my mom she used to do a lot of modeling when she was younger and
10:47dancing and you know that we're both gonna miss you like so much everything all of her acted in
10:54sang danced i was all i'm not bragging but he's good looking you know and i'm so proud of you
11:02always remember that little darling come here
11:09between rehearsals the boys have taken the opportunity to go out and about around
11:13souls to experience the unique world of k-pop culture
11:16the tour guide is local legend the k-pop cowboy
11:32the k-pop cowboy is a street interviewer hi i have a question do you guys like k-pop content creator
11:53and all-round k-pop enthusiast so for the tour today we're gonna check out some interesting k-pop spots
12:00so now i'm taking you to gangnam style statue what gangnam style a song about the hipster area of soul
12:08was a global hit for k-pop icon psy in 2012. first you know just like the statue and then go

12:26also in the gangnam district is soul's answer to the hollywood walk of fame the wall of hands
12:34since you guys are here we can maybe make a wish i wish that we get our hands on one of these walls
12:43i can see it you see that gap just there let's go three two one there we are okay now let's go to
12:51another spot in korea photo booths are a cultural phenomenon fueled by k-pop that works that works yeah
13:05fans have limited opportunities to take photos with k-pop idols
13:09so photo booths are the only way to get a snap with their favorite stuff
13:13nice nice nice nice nice nice everywhere you look at a soul there are these photo booths the people
13:18here love them it's like a massive social thing it's a trend worth millions and thousands of booths have
13:24opened across south korea in the last 10 years
13:30across town in young goo is hiker an interactive experience that allows fans to make their own k-pop videos
13:37i'm gonna make you guys do a dance challenge video you're gonna come up with the own dance moves

15:18oh
15:20If it's time, if it's time, if it's time,
15:24if it's time, if it's time,
15:27if it's time, if it's time,
15:29if it's time, if it's time, if it's time, if it's time.
15:34Okay, guys, I have to say that was very impressive.
15:37I love the dances.
15:39I'm gonna raise the hand.
15:41The winner for this dance challenge is...
15:46Clean Up Korea!
15:48I'm a very competitive person,
15:51so winning a dance challenge in the first week
15:54as a clean-up crew was a very nice thing to happen.
15:57I feel like it was deserved.
15:58I was gutted. I was absolutely gutted.
16:01Yeah.
16:05But the boys' break from training is short-lived.
16:08Over the next few days,
16:10their rehearsals become even more intense.
16:13Boom, boom, boom, up, down, up!
16:17Being a trainee is basically a full-time job,
16:20and the only time you're not training is when you're sleeping.
16:26I have never been so tired in my life.
16:28This was absolutely relentless.
16:30Let's wrap it!
16:31But despite their hard work,
16:35they're still struggling to crack the choreo.
16:38Oli,
16:43how do you do this?
16:45Step, step!
16:48No, no, no.
16:50That's not it.
16:51Kick, step, step.
16:53The count is one and two.
16:55That's the count, one and two.
16:56One and two.
16:59Okay, what's up?
17:00That's right.
17:01That's right.
17:02As Oli struggles in the dance studio,
17:04Reese is struggling in the vocal room
17:06with coach Wu Min-jun.
17:08Wave of the energy when we go on in.
17:13Together is the way we move in the night is
17:16lean and lean.
17:18Yeah.
17:19Yeah.
17:20Yeah.
17:21Yeah.
17:22Yeah.
17:23Yeah.
17:24Yeah.
17:25Yeah.
17:26Yeah.
17:27Yeah.
17:28Yeah.
17:29Yeah.
17:30Yeah.
17:31Yeah.
17:32Yeah.
17:33Yeah.
17:34The act is saying that you can't beauty.
17:35Yeah.
17:36Yeah.
17:37You can't believe your voice in 10 points.
17:38All the women are like you.
17:40everyone loves me.
17:42But you're great.
17:43You're not good.
17:44You're cute.
17:47You're cute.
17:48You can be可愛ized.
17:51But I should call you that feeling.
17:54You're not too weak.
17:55You need to have a smile.
17:57Okay.
17:58Okay.
17:59Look at the mirror.
18:00Look at the mirror.
18:01Look at the mirror.
18:02How do you feel?
18:04See, you're shy right now.
18:05You're shy right now.
18:06The wave of the energy when we go all in.
18:10What is it?
18:11Smile, smile.
18:12The wave of the energy when we go all in.
18:15It feels different, yeah.
18:19I became a performer from the age of four or five.
18:22Oh, look at you there, Reese.
18:24Oh, I looked actually quite cool there.
18:26I wouldn't go that far.
18:28When I perform, I feel like I can properly be me.
18:34Throughout my school life, I've always had a little bit of,
18:37you know, the haters' comments or it made me carry on
18:40and keep pushing to get where I want to be today.
18:44I've been a cruise ship dancer for the last eight months,
18:47but a boy band's always been a dream of mine.
18:50Wave of the energy when we go all in.
18:53K-pop is one of the biggest industries now in the world.
18:56The fame, the lifestyle is, you know, crazy good.
19:00So for us, you know, five lads coming out of college
19:03into this extraordinary experience is, you know,
19:06once in a lifetime and it is amazing.
19:08With just days to go until their evaluation,
19:23the band are still failing to dance in unison.
19:26All right.
19:27Yeah, all right, bye-bye.
19:28It's OK.
19:33Oh, my God!
19:35Hey!
19:37Is it bad?
19:42Does that mean very bad?
19:44Yeah.
19:49I feel a little bit stressed.
19:51It's not like perfect and perfectly down,
19:53still making stupid mistakes.
19:55Eight and one and two, and one and two.
19:59OK.
20:01Synchronization can be very challenging.
20:02Good communication is really crucial
20:04and you really need to remember that you're working
20:07as a part of a team,
20:09and that just comes from experience
20:11and practicing together.
20:14After a tough few days of training,
20:16the boys are being given a night off
20:18to have a night in.
20:20Hello!
20:21With Shin Dong from K-pop group Super Junior.
20:25He's been performing at the very top for 20 years.
20:33And tonight, he's given these new trainees
20:35a lesson in Korean culture.
20:44Macaulay is a rice wine that's traditionally
20:46drunk alongside a main meal.
20:49What are you getting?
20:50What?
20:51It's definitely a one shot.
20:53Oh, that's good, man.
20:54That's good, man.
20:55I'm looking for a kid.
20:56I'm looking for a kid.
20:57I'm looking for a kid.
20:58If a kid has a kid,
20:59I'm looking for a kid.
21:00I'm looking for a kid.
21:01I'm looking for a kid.
21:08Oh, another trip.
21:11This game is Ba-Ni Ba-Ni.
21:13OK?
21:14All right.
21:15From the sky.
21:16The sky.
21:17The sky.
21:18The sky.
21:19The sky.
21:20The sky.
21:21The sky.
21:22The sky.
21:23The sky.
21:24The sky.
21:25The sky.
21:26The sky.
21:27The sky.
21:28The sky.
21:29The sky.
21:306, 7, 1
21:31Then grab your heads!
21:45You know the rules.
21:51What are you, are you sleeping?
21:52No.
21:53No, buddy, buddy.
21:54Honey bunny bunny bunny bunny bunny bunny bunny
22:10With just two days to go until the heat on unit valuation
22:15Choreographer Sun Quan Kim has been drafted in to help them crack synchronization
22:19Oh
22:23Could it reach out to you?
22:25To be honest and honest
22:29We have no time for each other so we can see each other
22:32What kind of music is we can see each other
22:34Look at each other, go in a circle, facing each other
22:36We are one team
22:37We are one team right?
22:38We are one team right?
22:39Yes
22:40I'm a leader in my face
22:42To be honest with you
22:43With the side of my face
22:45I'll just know what's different
22:47Under the middle of the audience
22:49There's a background on the beginning
22:51With the line between but not so easy
22:53I've shown the most around, but
22:55That's not a good
22:56Let's see
22:57Let's see
22:58Let's see
22:59Let's see
23:01Oliver
23:03Talway now projects. I almost I think 발생
23:05Just wait
23:09Anna you
23:12Don't know
23:16Yeah, I did feel like I was home the boys up a little bit and the first week
23:20They're all such really good dances, and I just wasn't at that standard. But I really wanted to be so I knew I had to play a lot
23:26Look
23:30While Oli drills down on the details,
23:33Blaze has been called in to vocal training.
23:35Every time you move a little closer to me,
23:37find it for your body like electricity.
23:39It's in the air, but everywhere getting to the feet.
23:42Can you feel the vibe?
23:45I'm Blaze, and I am 19.
23:48I first started performing when I was about seven.
23:51You look very serious, though.
23:53Yeah, I was very serious, I think.
23:55My mum will always say I was really talented at a young age.
23:59I don't think I was.
24:00I could not sing.
24:02When I was younger, I could not dance either.
24:05I auditioned for the Brit School.
24:06I went there from age 14 to 18,
24:09and I loved every second of it.
24:12It's getting stronger and stronger.
24:15This is my dream, to be performing on massive stages
24:18in front of massive audiences.
24:20I'm expecting a lot of long hours from the training.
24:24The standards are going to be very, very high,
24:27which is slightly daunting, but very exciting.
24:31Because it's still low,
24:34it's still high, so it's hard to try it out.
24:36I'll try it out.
24:38But I'll be laughing, and I'll play it out.
24:40Blaze is quite a low speaking voice,
24:41so I'd say he's more of a baritone.
24:43But the K-pop songs have quite a high vocal.
24:49Can you feel the vibes?
24:52Can you feel the vibes?
24:55Can you feel the vibes?
24:56Okay.
24:58With some band members struggling
25:04with the different aspects of K-pop training,
25:07wellness coach Jeannie Chang has been brought in
25:09to help them cope with the daily emotional
25:11and mental challenges.
25:13Hello.
25:14Hello.
25:14Hi, guys.
25:15So excited to meet you.
25:16Nice to meet you.
25:17I'm here to check up on you guys.
25:19Yes.
25:19Just to make sure you're doing good, you know?
25:22So how was your first week?
25:23How's it been?
25:25It's been really good.
25:26It's been very intense.
25:27And you say that with a smile.
25:29Yeah, well, it's been in a good way.
25:31Because, I mean, we're training with, like,
25:32the best people.
25:33It's a little mind-blowing training in SM.
25:36They're working with, like,
25:37the biggest names in K-pop,
25:39and I'm like, oh, wow.
25:40Like, yeah.
25:41This is kind of crazy.
25:42Okay.
25:43It's also, like, they ask us
25:44what our favorite, like, K-pop idols are.
25:45Oh, of course they're going to ask that.
25:46We see someone, and they're like,
25:48oh, yeah, they're my student.
25:49It's just, like, so casual.
25:50So who is your favorite?
25:51I'm just curious.
25:52I like S-Wilts.
25:54Oli loves S-Wilts.
25:56I do like S-Wilts.
25:56Uh-huh, uh-huh.
25:57I mean, I'm looking forward to
25:58seeing how good we get
26:00and, like, what SM are going to create us into.
26:04Yeah.
26:05We're already really good.
26:06I love that.
26:06But just becoming that, like,
26:07so slick and sick.
26:09How are you guys getting along?
26:10Yeah, good.
26:11I think we've all become really close
26:13because of how intense the training has been.
26:16Of course.
26:16We're all going to have to have each of us back
26:18because sometimes, like, for me, example,
26:20like, I'm not getting a move
26:22and I'm a little slower at choreo,
26:24and these boys are like,
26:25you're all right, man.
26:26Oh.
26:26To me, that's really important
26:27because you guys have to lean on each other.
26:29You know, that's the whole K-pop thing,
26:30the group mentality.
26:32On that note, I guess I want to know,
26:35do you guys know each other's strengths
26:36or your favorite things about each other?
26:38Reese.
26:38He's got the most amazing voice.
26:41You are such a handsome man.
26:43He goes about life as if he's in a photo shoot.
26:45Like when he's walking.
26:46He's always smoldering.
26:49Let's talk about Blaze.
26:50He's a little quieter here.
26:52Blaze, I'd say, is our little dancer
26:53from day one.
26:55The little's just unnecessary.
26:57Just calling me a dancer's nice.
26:59I like the way he scratches his hair.
27:02Yeah.
27:02Okay, is that going to be the signature look?
27:05Yeah, look at that.
27:07Wow.
27:07Okay, let's talk about James.
27:09James is very mature.
27:11And he's also a very, very kind person.
27:13And an amazing dancer and singer.
27:15What do you enjoy about me?
27:16What do you enjoy about him?
27:17He's got the best laugh.
27:18You've got a really beautiful,
27:20sunshiny energy about you, Dexter.
27:21Thank you, James.
27:22But that's great.
27:23So he radiates, he has a great laugh.
27:25Yeah.
27:26Okay.
27:26That's awesome.
27:28Let's go to Ollie.
27:29Ollie tries hard, always.
27:31So I was going to go on to say...
27:36Yeah.
27:36Go on, go on.
27:37He doesn't call himself a dancer.
27:38You don't call yourself a dancer?
27:39He doesn't...
27:40No.
27:40No, no.
27:41You know, I've danced for a long time,
27:44but I just don't have the connection in my body.
27:45I'll just say, I admire how he's not afraid
27:47to put himself out of his comfort zone.
27:49Yeah.
27:50Like, if that was me, I would be...
27:52I'm very uncomfortable.
27:53I'll be stressing.
27:55Okay, so you have your assessment, okay?
27:57Yeah.
27:58So what's that going to be like?
28:00Feeling the pressure a little bit.
28:01Because it's not easy to take criticism, right?
28:03Or, like, that feedback of, like, this isn't good.
28:06I'm not intimidated.
28:07I think we will be nervous when we actually go to do it.
28:09I mean, I think that's normal.
28:10We'll get real once we walk in.
28:11Evaluation is just a day away.
28:25This is the last chance for the routine to be perfected
28:29with vocal coach Jin Yun-jen.
28:32And everything appears to be in tune.
28:34However...
28:42Can you feel the first?
28:44Oh, 좋아.
28:45Can you feel...
28:46Feel.
28:46Blaze, that...
28:48지금, that, 방금 feel할 때 뒤집힌 건
28:49조금 더 잡아줘야 돼.
28:51Can you feel...
28:51이 소리가 들리니까.
28:53My position was horrible, that one.
28:55First one's bad.
28:56First one.
28:57Can you feel the first?
28:59We're looking towards tomorrow with performances.
29:01We just need clean up vocals, clean up dancing.
29:03There's a little bit of a disconnect
29:05between the two, I'd say, at the moment.
29:09We'll just get better.
29:10Let's just get better.
29:12You wouldn't think we're singers, that's for sure.
29:14We're a unit of five, and so
29:16if anyone's struggling with one thing,
29:18we're all struggling with that one thing.
29:19Every time you move a little,
29:21move, move a little.
29:24Tomorrow's gonna be intense.
29:26We've kind of just gotta go in there
29:27and give everything we've got.
29:28One week into their 100-day training regime,
29:34and it all comes down to this.
29:37Yeah, you nervous?
29:38Um, a little bit.
29:40Boys, it's good to be nervous.
29:42There's definitely some no's,
29:43and some, a lot of thinking of what ifs and everything.
29:47Obviously, everyone's a little bit nervous,
29:48but I think I'm a little bit intimidated.
29:49I'm a little bit like...
29:50No, I think it'll be all right.
29:51I think it'll be all right.
29:51I think it'll be family.
29:52Yeah, we're gonna need it.
29:54Look, all we can do is
29:55try our very best,
29:56put our all into it.
29:57Whatever we leave in that room
29:58is left in that room.
29:59That's that.
30:04I just wanna get it done now.
30:05Yeah, man.
30:06The anticipation is killing me.
30:08I know.
30:09You're nervous.
30:13You're doing your vocal warm-ups.
30:15I'm there.
30:16I mean, you're pacing, mate.
30:17No, I'm not.
30:18No, I'm not.
30:20No, I'm not.
30:21I'm not nervous.
30:21No, I'm not.
30:22No, I'm not nervous.
30:23I'm excited.
30:24I'm excited.
30:26I'm not really that worried, I think.
30:28I'm pretty confident in all of our abilities.
30:35Heejun Yoon has more than 20 years' experience
30:38creating and nurturing some of K-pop's biggest stars.
30:44She has unbelievably high standards,
30:47and any who fail to meet them
30:49risk being cut from training.
30:51I will see you soon.
31:01Okay.
31:02Let's see it.
31:05Come on, boys.
31:05Come on boys
31:35I'm so bright, gonna put on shades
31:39Baby come along, watch me take it away
31:43Somebody turn up louder
31:47To get down for an hour
31:51She's you and me out on the floor
31:53Let's go a little longer
31:57It's getting stronger
31:59And stronger, and stronger
32:01Can you feel the vibe?
32:03Every time you put a little closer to me
32:05You're walking through your body like electricity
32:07You see the air and everywhere you hit to the beat
32:11Can you feel the vibe?
32:13I'm shaking, I'm shaking, I'm just making me nice
32:15So come on over, come in closer, give me a hand
32:17Speaking body language so you won't understand
32:19Can you feel the vibe?
32:25Can you feel the vibe?
32:29Can you feel the
32:31Wave of the energy when we all
32:33All in
32:35Together is the way we move
32:37When the night is
32:39Lean, lean
32:41Somebody turn up louder
32:43To get down for an hour
32:47She's you and me out on the floor
32:49She's you and me out on the floor
32:51Let's go a little longer
32:53It's heading stronger
32:55It's stronger
32:57It's stronger
32:59It's stronger
33:01Can you feel the vibe?
33:03Every time you put a little closer to me
33:05She's running through your body like electricity
33:07She's beating the air and everywhere getting into the speed
33:09Can you feel the vibe?
33:11Can you feel the vibe?
33:13Can you feel the vibe?
33:19Let's go a little longer
33:21It's heading stronger
33:23And stronger
33:25And stronger
33:27Can you feel the vibe?
33:29Every time you put a little closer to me
33:31Running through your body like electricity
33:33It's in the air and everywhere getting into the speed
33:35It's in the air and everywhere getting into the speed
33:37Can you feel the vibe?
33:39We're shaking and we're shaking
33:41And we're making a dance
33:42So coming over comfortable
33:43It's in the air
33:44Speaking body language
33:45And we both understand
33:46Can you feel the vibe?
33:48Can you feel the vibe?
33:52Can you feel the vibe?
33:56Can you feel the vibe?
34:01Oh yeah
34:03Can you feel the vibe?
34:13Can you feel the vibe?
34:15Thank you
34:17Thank you
34:19Thank you
34:21...
34:28...
34:31...
34:36...
34:41...
34:45...
34:50If you think about the highest score,
34:52how do you think about the highest score?
35:20I would say about 70 percent.
35:27I'd say 50. I think I got like the base of it down. There's a lot of details and things to make sure it's all perfect that I missed out.
35:38It's a lot of worry. It's more worry. It's the point that you think of yourself.
35:51Do you think you can be a singer?
35:55I don't think it's going to happen.
36:01What kind of confidence? Why do you think it's going to be?
36:06The passion.
36:36I'm not going to be a star.
36:38I'm not going to be a star.
36:42I'm not going to be a star.
36:44I'm not going to be a star.
36:48I'm not going to be a star.
37:10I'm not going to read it, but it's not going to be too late.
37:20I think it's too late.
37:22If you look at this scene,
37:29you'll never see this scene.
37:34Did you understand?
37:39Yeah, yeah.
37:40Well, no camera.
37:42I don't see.
37:58Pijun has called an emergency meeting with the management team.
38:09That was horrifically negative.
38:13Yeah.
38:15I didn't think it was basic level choreo, though.
38:18That was basic level here in Korea.
38:20I can only speak for myself, but that, like, got kind of real.
38:24The all-round feedback for us was that we were terrible.
38:30We got ripped into in there.
38:33We expected something like this, just not this brutal.
38:37I think we've all worked hard this week.
38:40I've seen us all working hard.
38:42I think if anyone took it harder than anyone today,
38:46it would probably be Blaze.
38:49The standard here is...
38:52You think the top standard in the UK, what that is,
38:55imagine that times, like, a thousand.
38:58We can walk away from this just knowing the standard
39:01and knowing how hard we have to work now.
39:03I don't know what to think of.
39:06Like, what she said to me.
39:08What did you not agree with?
39:09Well, that I was the best singer and the best dancer.
39:12Because I, like I said, I don't agree.
39:14So it's like...
39:15Hmm.
39:16I genuinely wasn't expecting that today,
39:18mainly because, like, through college,
39:21like, in my training,
39:23I've always kind of been that guy in the back.
39:26I was never, you know, that front-center guy
39:28that they loved and they thought was amazing.
39:30Don't put yourself down about it.
39:32In this situation, she said that you were the best
39:34in both aspects.
39:36Hmm.
39:37In K-pop.
39:38I've got very different ideas of a performer
39:42and an artist
39:44than what is idolised here.
39:47From that, we can all gauge what it means,
39:51what she's looking for in a K-pop idol.
39:54I'm pretty confident in my perception
39:56of performance and abilities.
39:59And I know that, at heart, I'm my own artist.
40:03Should we go back to what she said?
40:05She said that you guys were terrible.
40:07No, what she says, even if you don't agree,
40:08like, what she says is fact.
40:10We're in her territory.
40:12Oh, she hates us.
40:13Oh, no.
40:1550 minutes later,
40:17Dawn and Russ from management return.
40:24Wow.
40:25Wow, yeah.
40:26Yeah.
40:27Yeah.
40:30Well,
40:31how did you think it went?
40:33Bad.
40:34Bad.
40:35Bad, yeah.
40:36Yeah.
40:37I think that's been a reality check.
40:39Yeah, it was hard.
40:41We've got to go away,
40:43re-evaluate everything.
40:46The ultimate goal here is to impress Heijan.
40:50And one of her notes back to us was,
40:52I didn't go so hard because I didn't want to make them cry.
40:58And Blaise, um, look,
41:00she doesn't feel that you've listened enough to her today.
41:03She is so important that when,
41:05when you are asked or told something to do,
41:07you really take her on board.
41:10We're not going to sugar coat anything
41:12because there's a lot at stake.
41:14There's a lot at stake here.
41:15Mediocrity doesn't cut it.
41:18Unless you're the best.
41:19They won't put their name to you.
41:21You have to try harder.
41:22Harder.
41:23Harder.
41:24Harder.
41:25Harder.
41:26Next time.
41:27So,
41:34So,
41:35I'm going to sing a little bit more.
41:36I'm going to sing a little bit more.
41:37And,
41:38It's hard to make my head
41:39because I don't want to sing today.
41:40I'm going to sing a little bit more.
41:44For me, it's terrifying.
41:48For me, this is terrifying.
41:50500 school kids, eyes on me.
41:54What have we got, bro? Is it tonsilitis?
41:56Totally, it's like, it's contagious.
41:58My big insecurity is that I'm not wanted here.
42:01When I listen to it, I don't think that's right.
42:05It's just the end.
42:07If you leave it here, I don't have to do this.
42:18I can do it in this video.
42:20Please do it in this video.
42:22It's just the end of this video.
42:25Let it go.
42:27It's what it's called, right?
42:29I can enjoy it.
42:32I don't have to.
42:34I'm sorry.
42:37I'm sorry.
42:38I'm sorry.
42:40I'm sorry.
42:41I'm sorry.
42:43Why isn't I just alive?
42:45I'm sorry.
42:47I'm sorry.
