00:00where did you think you would go when that night came and then when dallas was on the clock and

00:05the intrigue of nfl network and espn and johnny manzel all of that just what was that all like

00:11well i i had three teams kind of in my mind that i thought i could go to just as far as how much

00:16interest i was getting in the pre-draft and talking to those guys so um the rams were one

00:22uh one of them and they had two picks they had they had the second pick and the whatever

00:27donald went like 13 i think yeah um so then when they picked greg robinson second i figured okay i'm

00:33i'm not going there because they they got their line them and then buffalo was the other another

00:37team and then they ended up trading up and got sammy walkins in the top five so i kind of eliminated

00:41them so then the giants the giants were the team that i thought i really thought i was going to new

00:47york at 12. tim mcdonald is a good friend of mine he's uh he worked at notre dame when i was there

00:52and he's he's part of the mara family and is like a vice president for the giants now um but he was

00:58there and i was talking to him kind of on draft day um you know we were close and he was kind of giving

01:03me the ins and outs and uh i remember he texted me maybe a pic or two before it was like hey man sorry

01:08we're going with we're going with the receiver from lcu and um you know they picked odell which

01:14obviously worked out for them but then i kind of was in no man's land i didn't really know

01:18where i was going to go my my agent kind of told me i think you'll go from 10 to 21 was like my my

01:25window um that he kind of thought i would fall into so there were some teams baltimore i think

01:31picked after dallas that was maybe a potential but um dallas was kind of out of nowhere i went down

01:36there for a pre-draft visit that's kind of the only communication i had with him

01:40and um they really weren't on my radar at all they just picked travis frederick the year before they

01:45picked tyron a couple years before that so um they had invested in their own line so that that

01:50never was a thought really
