In the Philippines, at least 25 citizens lost their lives after super typhoon Fung-Wong passed through, displacing more than 1.4 million people. Media outlets reported that 19 of the dead were in the Cordillera Administrative Region, home to the country's largest mountain range. Among the dead was a 10-year-old boy. In addition, typhoon Fung-Wong, locally known as Uwan, hit the locality of Luzon after becoming the second cyclone to affect the archipelago in a matter of days, after Kammuri. It should be noted that the disaster has left more than 150 localities in the Philippines without electricity, and has destroyed 37 bridges and flooded 12 national highways.
