00:01A merchant owned a donkey and a horse.

00:06Every day he would load his goods on the backs of both the animals

00:11and take them to the market to sell.

00:14One hot morning, the merchant had only a small amount of goods to carry.

00:21He made one large bundle of the goods and loaded it onto the donkey's back.

00:27Then he took his horse along and all the three left for the market.

00:35As they walked on, the donkey felt tired carrying the heavy load.

00:41So he went near the horse and said,

00:44Friend, I am getting tired. Will you carry half the load for me?

00:50No way, the horse said.

00:52It's your load, so you must carry it on your own.

00:57I won't share it.

00:59The donkey did not comment back.

01:01It was nearing noon.

01:03The donkey could not bear the heat and the heavy load.

01:10So he fell to the ground and fainted.

01:14Soon he was foaming at the mouth.

01:16The merchant took the donkey's load and put all of it on the horse's back.

01:24The horse now had to carry the heavy goods.

01:28Then the horse realized how the poor donkey had suffered

01:32and the horse had to carry the goods all the way to the market on his own.

01:40Sharing others' burden now will benefit us in the future.
