00:00Despite my name, my world is a rainbow.
00:04This is Anna and Jake Victorson.
00:07They bought their house when they first got married.
00:10Now they have a toddler, so they're sort of...
00:13You're driving me off.
00:14...busting at the scenes. We're going to their front door.
00:17I feel like this could potentially be a really fun one.
00:21They have a three-bed, two-bath, 1960s home
00:24that was actually remodeled before they bought it a few years ago.
00:27Funny how a house shrinks when a child comes along.
00:33Hi!
00:34How are you?
00:36Now we're here to give them a remodel that actually works for their growing family.
00:41Thanks for having us.
00:42Yes, we're so excited.
00:43They're going to be handing over their keys
00:45and letting us just be in there to work our magic alone,
00:50which is really adventurous.
00:53And I feel like we're going to really be able to do our thing.
00:55No holds barred.
00:56Yes, the house is so cute.
00:58Oh, thank you.
00:59I love your baby blue front door.
01:01Oh, thank you.
01:03That's about the only color that's currently in the whole house.
01:05Oh, wow.
01:06Well, we can work on that.
01:08I came prepared.
01:08I'm so excited.
01:10We love color.
01:10There just isn't much here yet.
01:12Tell us a little bit about your house in general.
01:15It was built in 1961.
01:1761?
01:1861.
01:18Yep.
01:18It was redone prior to us buying it.
01:21They did a great job, but it doesn't feel super functional for us.
01:26We clearly have a child.
01:29So we're currently standing in the playroom.
01:31We're currently standing in the living room.
01:33So the whole house is the playroom?
01:34The whole house is kind of the playroom at this point.
01:37And we have virtually no storage.
01:39Yeah.
01:39So we would love to figure out ways to make it a lot more functional and grow with us.
01:44I like if things are like a little bit funky.
01:46Okay.
01:46But still definitely want it to feel like refined and mature.
01:51Okay.
01:52Where do you want to start?
01:53Let's get into this.
01:55Yeah.
01:56This room, I think we would just love it to feel like an actual living space and not a
02:00playroom.
02:01What sort of colors do you guys lean to?
02:05I feel like blues, greens.
02:07But I think for walls, I like white as long as it feels not just like a blank canvas.
02:13Yes.
02:13This is going to be one of those rooms where just a little bit can go a long way.
02:17Sure.
02:17And keeping your walls neutral means that all of your furniture is still going to work.
02:23So we get to really focus on the fun stuff.
02:25Yeah.
02:26That sounds great.
02:26I think we've got this space sorted out.
02:29So what's next on the wish list?
02:31So one of the things we're really excited about is the potential for an addition of a primary
02:35suite.
02:36So we're thinking we might have opportunity with our current carport area.
02:41Well, let's go take a look.
02:43Okay.
02:43Let's go.
02:43All right.
02:46This is what I'm most excited about.
02:49All right.
02:49Okay.
02:50Well, the primary bedroom and bath, the width is fine.
02:54Yeah.
02:54But there's not enough depth.
02:57But I think if we added 10 feet to this space, that would be enough.
03:01That's great.
03:02Doesn't that sound great?
03:02Open to that?
03:03Yeah.
03:04But do you want your bedroom, if you like?
03:07I think we just do a bit.
03:08I think we make it fun.
03:09We make it real fun?
03:10Yeah.
03:11If Jake's open to it.
03:13I'm open to it.
03:14This is an opportunity for hot pink.
03:16That's...
03:16I don't feel like they're hot pink people.
03:19It's a little too much.
03:20We can test case it.
03:21Yeah, sure.
03:22But if we did some really fun contrasting stripes on your walls?
03:26I love that idea.
03:28I love stripes.
03:29I would put stripes like everywhere if I could.
03:31I'm good with it.
03:31I say we go for it.
03:32You're good with it.
03:33He's good with it.
03:35I feel like you've grown so much over the years.
03:38I have.
03:39What do you want in the bathroom?
03:41A double vanity.
03:42We definitely need two vanities.
03:43Right now, our bathroom is tiny.
03:46We arm wrestle to see who brushes their teeth first.
03:48Kind of.
03:48Okay, so we're going to fit a primary bathroom, a primary bedroom, and a big walk-in closet.
03:56Well, a walk-in closet.
03:57I don't know how big it'll be.
03:58Bigger than what we have now.
03:59That's a way.
04:00Okay.
04:01Let's go and start talking about the next space.
04:03Awesome.
04:04So one of the areas that we really struggle is we don't have a dedicated playroom.
04:08Yeah.
04:09And when we go inside, you'll actually see it's just our catch-all area.
04:11So we'd love to show you kind of what that space looks like.
04:15Sure.
04:18And this room could be a great place for all of the toys that we see everywhere else.
04:23This is currently a TV room.
04:26It's a catch-all where we put everything.
04:28So we're excited to figure out the playroom.
04:31I think we can accommodate all of that.
04:34When we put the primary suite out this way, you no longer have the access to the carport
04:39to unload groceries and whatnot.
04:41Right.
04:42This would be a little connecting way here, a reasonably sized playroom there.
04:47Yeah.
04:47Doing a little walk that comes up outside of the bedroom and come in the house here.
04:52I love it.
04:52So let's talk about how you want the space to feel.
04:55I'm kind of okay with as long as it feels cohesive with the other parts of the house.
04:59Just do what you want.
05:01Okay.
05:01I love that.
05:03But where's your next?
05:04Should we go to the kitchen?
05:06Okay.
05:06So now the kitchen when we do this bedroom.
05:10We're going to lose some light here.
05:12Yeah.
05:12The window over the kitchen sink, gone.
05:15The window in the dining area, also gone.
05:18If we change these windows out here and make them a pair of French doors, we might gain some
05:25more light.
05:26Were you all good with that idea?
05:27Yeah.
05:27That sounds great.
05:28Sounds good.
05:28We'll take light where we can get it.
05:30It occurred to me while we're standing here.
05:32When this window comes out, Gray's going to have to work something out with that.
05:36Since I imagine that trying to match that tile is going to be pretty difficult, how would
05:41you feel about putting wallpaper in the kitchen?
05:44Oh, that's a fun idea.
05:47I didn't think about that, but I'm not against that.
05:51Will adding any other color on the walls make it feel dark?
05:54No, I don't think so.
05:56I think it would be fine.
05:58I'm open to it, for sure.
05:59So, yes to the wallpaper, keep the cabinetry, countertops.
06:04Are we going to do something in the breakfast room here?
06:07I think we'd love to make it cohesive.
06:09What needs do you have in here that aren't currently being met?
06:15We would love to be able to set a few more people around our table.
06:18Okay.
06:19So, we could do a banquette on these walls, and then you could get a larger table.
06:26I love that.
06:26I think this is going to be a good one.
06:28I'm excited.
06:29Are you excited, Grumpy?
06:30Oh, I'm always excited.
06:31Can't you tell?
06:32So, timeline on this one is going to be about five months, which might seem like a long
06:38time, but not when you're having to build an entirely new structure in what's currently
06:43a carport.
06:44They're going to be staying with Jake's family.
06:46That can be tough for everybody after that long.
06:49How well I know.
06:52So, you're comfortable with us getting on with this?
06:55Yeah?
06:56Yep.
06:56Permission granted.
06:58Okay.
06:59You know you won't be able to come back in until it's done.
07:02We won't peak.
07:02Yeah.
07:03I don't know.
07:08We're underway with Victorson.
07:14About the first part of next week, we can frame up the house and get rolling.
07:24It's got all the steps of a bigger project, but it's not a huge project.
07:29We're in good hands.
07:31Six weeks from now, we should have everything on the roof.
07:34Well, it's not a little progress.
07:58Howdy, boys.
07:59What have you guys been doing?
08:01How are you?
08:02It's good to see you.
08:03What have you been doing?
08:03You've been taking hard at work.
08:05Too many naps, it looks like.
08:06No, no, no.
08:07I would have thought you'd have to play spinach by now.
08:08You don't nap.
08:09Actually, it's looking pretty good.
08:11All the walls are in.
08:12Now, we're just doing a little stuff for Dry Waller so he can start hanging.
08:16And I'm going to get back to it so we can wrap up for the weekend.
08:19Okay, bud.
08:19Hey, it's good to see you.
08:20Yes, sir.
08:20Good to see you.
08:21Wait, wait, wait.
08:22Are you leaving because of me?
08:24Hello, everybody.
08:25How are you, Chelsea?
08:26I know you were coming out of left with me.
08:29Chelsea is Grace's business partner and a very talented interior designer.
08:34Working with Chelsea?
08:36Total chaos.
08:39I thought there for a second you were bringing us little treats to eat.
08:42You're the second person that told me they look like candies.
08:44You have to take your dentures out to eat them.
08:46And what do you think working with you is like?
08:49Instructive.
08:50This big one is maybe the floor.
08:53Nothing's approved yet.
08:56But I think, chaotic as you are.
08:58I prefer creative.
09:00How fun is that?
09:01Is it going to come scuffed like that?
09:03Yeah, my daughter used this to build her fort.
09:07You're able to discern what goes on in Grey's chaotic head.
09:13And somehow you two make the magic together.
09:16I just really wanted to come out here and see if this tile was the right color in the right light.
09:22You know how light changes everything.
09:24Here, you hold them on the shower walls.
09:26So we'll create a really cool pattern on the walls with these colors, not these tile sizes.
09:33Gotcha.
09:34I'm really getting excited.
09:36It's coming together so quick.
09:37It is.
09:38But the tile's not going to get put in unless we get back to work.
09:41Well, let's get back at it.
09:42Yeah.
09:43Hey, girl.
09:52I feel like I'm more excited about this house than I've been in a very long tile.
09:56Me too.
09:57It's going to be great.
09:58Today is the Victorson Design Session Day.
10:00These are the days that we get to feel the space and feel the light and make sure these crazy things that we come up with in our head are going to work in reality.
10:09Let's just start in the dining room because I feel like that'll be the rosetta sonos my dad likes to put in.
10:16I want to do wallpaper in the kitchen, which is going to bleed into the breakfast room.
10:22And that's going to sort of be the thing where we are pulling most of the colors in the house from.
10:29I don't know.
10:31Which one are you feeling?
10:32I feel like they have.
10:33So, ooh, that's busy.
10:35Yeah, this one's very busy.
10:37I think what I like about this one is because we're not changing the color of the cabinets in the kitchen and they're already white.
10:44100% agree.
10:45I feel like because this one has so much white.
10:47It's better.
10:48I'm leaning towards that.
10:49For the banquette cushion.
10:50Mm-hmm.
10:51This is an option.
10:53Pretty.
10:53But the whites and the creams aren't driving.
10:56And then we've got this guy.
10:58Which already has blue.
11:00It literally was made for it.
11:02I really like that.
11:03Okay, so I already kind of thought ahead about what trim color we should use.
11:06See if you have green and blue in there.
11:08I think that the number one thing that we have to keep in mind is that Anna wants to make sure that whatever we pick, it's going to feel light and bright.
11:17Yeah.
11:18These are all very fun colors that really work well together.
11:21And it can take a very simple design and just exactly.
11:27What do you think?
11:28I think we couldn't have done better.
11:29We tried.
11:30And we did.
11:31We did try.
11:33We did try.
11:34I love it.
11:34I love it.
11:35There's going to be so much color.
11:37It would feel good to tone it down a little bit with a natural fiber on the windows.
11:44I love that idea, but just to get my head around it.
11:47And we're doing a wall-to-wall banquette seat, a nice beautiful rug, red cushion, bamboo blinds, white oak table, colorful chairs.
12:00Tonal chandelier.
12:01Tonal chandelier.
12:02You have my stamp of approval.
12:04That's all I'm ever looking for.
12:06Okay, good.
12:07Let's poke our heads in the living room real quick.
12:09Okay.
12:10It seems to me we just carry the same green-blue trim into this room.
12:15And then we do the walls in a white that feels the same as this white.
12:20So it sort of feels like the same space without being the same space.
12:23Yeah.
12:24It's a simple refresh, but I think it'll make a big impact, which is exactly what they want to do here.
12:28A little pattern and a little color goes a long way.
12:32Now there's something in the kitchen that I feel like I need your expertise on.
12:37Oh.
12:38Okay.
12:39Okay.
12:39What are we talking about?
12:40Well, they really want the kitchen to feel cohesive with the dining room and the living room, which we can totally do.
12:46Clearly.
12:47The bigger issue is that this used to be an exterior wall.
12:52Well, and now we have this big hole in the backsplash where the window used to be.
12:58Yes.
12:59And I'm struggling a little bit.
13:02Okay.
13:02Well, I do think this has to come down because we will never match this.
13:08This is really old tile.
13:10But I also feel like there needs to be a focal point here so you're not just looking at a wall.
13:16I knew you would say that.
13:18And so actually yesterday I snuck over because I heard sheetrock was up.
13:21And I think I have an idea.
13:23I see that.
13:25We come in and we do a scalloped backsplash.
13:31Some beautiful shelves up here.
13:35Ditch the light and then style them beautifully.
13:38Yeah, I think this is a great solution.
13:40And then we put the wallpaper over here.
13:42Anna wants wallpaper, but at the same time she's really concerned about it feeling dark.
13:47I think what we can really do is own that white cabinetry, which is not our normal, and use it to our advantage.
13:56I think it will keep things bright and airy too.
13:58We're going to have this amazing wallpaper.
14:01And we'll take this really nice trim color through to the new doors.
14:04I would like to replace these lights maybe with a rattan light.
14:10It's going to feel like a whole new house.
14:12Well, I feel good.
14:13Let's head to the edition.
14:14All right.
14:14Next.
14:15I'm going to be honest with you.
14:17What?
14:18Stop it.
14:18Go for it.
14:19So, we haven't seen this edition since drywall was up.
14:24Worry is going to feel too small for the design that I have in my brain.
14:30Wow.
14:33I'm really excited about this project.
14:36I feel like we just started.
14:38And now the edition is fully dried in.
14:41We've got walls and ceilings.
14:43And we can get in there and do our thing now.
14:45This is the good stuff for me.
14:47It's when a client really goes, do your worst.
14:51Go for it.
14:51Go for it.
14:53Wow.
14:54Thank goodness.
14:56It's not too small.
14:58No, it feels great in here.
15:00The ideas that are in my brain are going to work.
15:03I'm sure.
15:03So, let me tell you what I'm thinking.
15:05We're going to do really bold blue and green stripes.
15:08Okay.
15:09We're going to take the green-blue we're doing in the kitchen and pull it through as one of the stripes.
15:13But now I just want to test the green.
15:16All right.
15:17Well, at least we didn't get a small paintbrush that would work easily.
15:22Thank goodness for that.
15:25Okay.
15:25This one's kind of nice.
15:28Pretty.
15:29Switch.
15:31Boop.
15:31This is more of like a earthy-tone, coastally vibe, I feel like, too.
15:37That's fun.
15:39Let's stand back.
15:41What they said that they wanted from the very beginning was fun.
15:44Right.
15:45And for me, I love all of them.
15:47But for me, it's the one all the way on the right.
15:50It's got to be this.
15:52All right.
15:52Let's talk fabrics.
15:53Okay.
15:54We need to soften this room.
15:56For curtains in here.
15:58This feels very matchy-matchy.
16:00All right.
16:00Yeah.
16:00I feel like we need to bring in some darker tones.
16:03Okay.
16:03Okay.
16:03Okay.
16:04I can do this.
16:04I can do this.
16:05It's the basket of fun.
16:08I love this pattern.
16:09I love that, too, because let's talk headboard.
16:13Because if we have a beautiful, earthy tone here, then maybe a deep, earthy velvet for the headboard.
16:22Yeah, I feel like maybe something in this family would pair really well.
16:26Yeah.
16:26So you've got the beautiful scallops that are going to be on the fabric.
16:30Then you've got this beautiful bed that's soft and earthy, and it'll also do a scallop on the headboard.
16:35It'll tie in from the kitchen where we did the scallop on the bamboo blinds.
16:40It was some sort of, like, vintage rug that pulls in some deeper burgundy tones.
16:45And the beautiful light fixture, as always.
16:47Yeah.
16:48So let's go to the bathroom.
16:49I think we should take the green that's in this room and pull it in there and see how we like.
16:56I think I'm most excited about this bathroom.
16:59Yeah, it's going to be fun.
17:00They desperately needed more space, so we've got a ton of storage in that closet, a really big shower, and a double vanity so they don't have to fight over who brushes first.
17:11I don't think we should paint a bright color.
17:13I think the tile in this room and the tones should be the star.
17:18It's a sharp piece.
17:18So how do you feel about just doing, like, trim?
17:22I think that's what I would prefer.
17:23Okay.
17:26Mm-hmm.
17:28Yeah, I think we go the green.
17:29It'll pull well off of the rest of the house.
17:31We've done a lot of this in the kitchen already as well.
17:36Yeah.
17:36So I think we're going to go this direction for the shower tiles on the trim.
17:41We were doing the same green, and I like the white oak for the cabinetry.
17:45A very neutral floor.
17:47A Roman shade.
17:48Bamboo.
17:48But in bamboo.
17:49I think that's good.
17:50I'm super excited.
17:52We're excited.
17:53How many times a day do you think we say excited?
17:56Over a hundred.
17:57We spend most of our days feeling either anxious, frustrated, or excited.
18:05The sweet and famous room.
18:08Yes.
18:08To be honest, we get to do some really fun stuff.
18:12Yes, it's exciting.
18:13And it's quite exciting.
18:14The Victorsons were feeling like their house was overrun with toys.
18:17So this room is where all that kid clutter can be contained.
18:21One thought that I had is having this be a red and pink room.
18:27Red and pink.
18:28Yeah, I love red and pink together.
18:29Okay.
18:30I know they have a little girl.
18:31Yeah.
18:31But I don't know if this is their last little baby.
18:35And what if there's a boy?
18:37What are you afraid of?
18:38Well, A, I think it's okay because boys love pink too.
18:42I mean, it's a new generation.
18:44But also, I feel like pink can be almost a neutral.
18:49We sprinkle a little paint on the ground.
18:51That's why painters put plastic.
18:54Ooh.
18:54Isn't that pretty?
18:55Oh, I love that.
18:57Look how bad it would look if I did it.
19:00It's really beautiful, though.
19:02I love that.
19:04We'll do the pink on top.
19:06Put some green on the ground so it doesn't feel so, so feminine.
19:09Bring some trim around the entire room.
19:12And then the door behind you is going to be gone so we can have art pieces on this side.
19:16I love this.
19:17It's going to be truly a fun room.
19:19I like that they're not afraid to take chances.
19:21It's going to be, honestly, a page turner.
19:24This is going to be a really fun house.
19:27I'm excited about this one.
19:28Yeah.
19:29I'm so excited.
19:30I feel like...
19:33Are you excited, Chelsea?
19:34I'm excited.
19:35Sometimes you just get excited and say the same word over and over again.
19:39You ready?
19:40Yes, I am ready.
19:41It's very hot.
19:41It is hot.
19:48You think there's enough cars here?
19:50We've got half the world here working.
19:51We're going to go through and find out what you don't have here for them yet.
19:54I love that game.
19:56The house is back here.
19:57Not weeks.
19:59A lot's going on today.
20:00Siding's going up, getting close to being finished.
20:03The painters are sneaking up on being finished with their work.
20:07The tile guy's in there working.
20:09They've still got a few days in there, but they're making great strides.
20:14Go ahead.
20:15Might be a snake up there.
20:16Oh.
20:17So, girls, today is my last day here.
20:20I've been living under the 100-degree heat dome for the last two weeks.
20:24I'm going to the Adirondacks.
20:26What are we going to do?
20:28Well, I don't know.
20:29How will we handle it?
20:30Don't leave us.
20:31Oh!
20:33Oh, wait.
20:35Don't go.
20:36Oh, no!
20:37Where are the stairs?
20:39I guess we get in through this ladder.
20:41Here, Dad.
20:42What the Victorsons wanted in the bedroom was something really fun and really different,
20:47and they wanted us to go all out.
20:49What is this?
20:50It's a matcha, Dad.
20:53Oh, yeah.
20:53It's so good!
20:56You know there's going to be green and blue stripes painted on this wall?
20:59It's going to make me feel like I'm living in a barcode.
21:03You scan the room, you don't know what you're going to get.
21:06I don't think it's going to read barcode.
21:08I think it's going to be fun.
21:09This isn't black and white.
21:10It's going to look great.
21:12It will.
21:13It's quite a bit of comfortable.
21:14Even with the red trim.
21:15It's not the red trim I'm worried about.
21:17It's the drapery.
21:18How are those drapes going to look with the red?
21:21Because the red is going to be really fun.
21:23Let's be honest.
21:24The drapes are going to cover the majority of the trim around the windows.
21:27Like, I don't want to cover up an inch of the window.
21:30Should I just step out while you'll have this conversation?
21:32Are you bored?
21:34Well, I mean, my neck's getting worn out looking back and forth.
21:37I wonder if we should order some shears.
21:41And then maybe we could turn that fabric into, like, some pillows or something on the bed.
21:46Shears could be the right answer.
21:48You know?
21:48Like, you're looking in the room and you're seeing those pretty squares.
21:52Two red rectangles, technically.
21:55Yeah.
21:55And I don't really want to interrupt them.
21:57They're not squares.
21:58You know, I also...
21:59Rectangles are squares.
22:01Squares are rectangles.
22:02One of the things that people love about your style is that you have the ability to mix in colors.
22:06And I think that the fact that these are not going to be the dominant color in the room.
22:11What's that whole theory?
22:12Like, 30, 60, 10?
22:15So, this is just going to be our 10.
22:18Are you getting real designs for me?
22:20I'm not.
22:21But, like, it's an important thing to think about.
22:23That it's okay to add in that 10% portion.
22:27Because it's what brings rooms alive.
22:29So, 60% of the room is one color.
22:3430% is the accent color.
22:36And 10% is your pop.
22:38I think it's going to work beautifully.
22:40Yeah.
22:40I feel like a lot of times these big choices on paper feel like a really fun, exciting idea.
22:49And then I see them half finished.
22:52I start panicking a little bit.
22:55Nearly every time.
22:56Almost every time, yes.
22:58I want to show y'all the tile.
23:00It's awesome.
23:00Is it in there already?
23:01Yes.
23:02Let's go see.
23:05Wow.
23:07Oh, that's cool.
23:08It's the coolest shower we've ever done.
23:11My lord.
23:12It's a niche in.
23:13Yes.
23:15We put a little foot niche so she can shave her legs.
23:18It's my invention.
23:19That was nice.
23:20The foot thing?
23:21Oh, yes, it's my invention.
23:23Someone said to me, I want a shelf so I can shave my legs.
23:26And I said, why don't we put a niche in the wall where you can put your foot in there?
23:30And they said, okay, that's a good idea.
23:32Let's do that.
23:33Genius.
23:34Was I the first one to do it in life?
23:35Probably.
23:35In the entire world?
23:36I doubt it.
23:37But probably.
23:38I've got your back on the floor.
23:39I invented it back before there was even dial-ups in there.
23:42Of course.
23:42The Egyptians made pyramids.
23:45And Joe made foot niches.
23:47I handled the Western Hemisphere, yeah.
23:50We're getting sidetracked.
23:51Let's look at the rest of the house.
23:52Let's go look at the rest of the house.
23:53Okay.
23:54Well, they've got all their prep done.
23:58So the window's gone.
23:59That's out.
24:00And they did a nice job of closing it in.
24:01And the door's behind you.
24:03All that tile's gone.
24:05And that light, I feel like we need to talk about.
24:08This light is huge.
24:10I don't know.
24:11It could be like a big, bold statement.
24:13Or it could be, I feel like we need to hold it up over there.
24:16So this light that is meant to go in the breakfast look is...
24:21It's too big.
24:22That's a lovely hat.
24:25Yeah.
24:25I mean, it's back up.
24:26That's sweet.
24:27I think it's going to eat up half the room, you know.
24:30I want to look at this myself.
24:31I'll be in a white for you.
24:33I don't know.
24:35I mean, it might be okay.
24:37It's like hanging a Mack truck in the view.
24:40Lift that up about an inch for me.
24:42You have two inches.
24:46I'm not, no.
24:47Why not?
24:48You're just being mean.
24:49All right, so crisis averted.
24:52Too big.
24:54Way too big.
24:55Too big.
24:57Whew.
24:58Okay.
24:59Ow.
25:01It's so big.
25:02I just ran into the wall.
25:04We're going to be moving them back in before we know it.
25:07We're nine days out, right?
25:08I'll be away for five of them, so it's only four days left for me.
25:12Do you feel like we're going to have all this done in time to get in here and do our thing next week?
25:18This is normal.
25:19We stick to the plan.
25:20We're going to be okay.
25:21Let's get out of there here so we can stick to the plan.
25:24Yeah, let's let these guys make some dust.
25:25Okay, okay.
25:26Okay.
25:35There is, like, so many people here.
25:38Holy moly.
25:39There is literally a million big old vans in this yard.
25:45Wallpaper is going up at Victorston, and it is going to be such a huge transformation.
25:52And this is, like, the first big change that we've gotten to see in this house outside of the actual action.
25:58Outside of a whole other section.
26:00Yeah.
26:02Ooh, hey, girls.
26:03Hi.
26:05Oh, that looks so good.
26:07We just got started.
26:08What do you think?
26:10Uh, love it.
26:12It's really awesome to finally be in here and start seeing, like, some pattern and color.
26:17It's been a little bit boring with white walls for a while.
26:20Not anymore.
26:20She's going up.
26:22It's pretty simple paper to hang.
26:23It'll go up beautifully.
26:25It's durable, so it's good for attention.
26:26A child can crayon on it, and we'll get it right off.
26:28Good choice, ladies.
26:29It's unusual.
26:30It's a little bit coastal for us, but I really, I really love it.
26:34Yeah.
26:35We're going to have to funk it up with some bright colors.
26:37Let's see if we get that fun fabric in here.
26:38Actually, come here real quick.
26:40This is why I wore this dress today.
26:42This is exactly the colors of the banquet.
26:45Yeah.
26:45Yeah.
26:46So it's red and pink.
26:49It is exciting because the wallpaper is going in, but there is a lot to figure out.
26:54Some of the floors are getting refinished.
26:56They're installing the new banquette.
26:58Does it fit?
26:59It does.
27:00Okay.
27:01It is a bit of a hot mess in here, but organized chaos.
27:05We're getting down to the wire.
27:07My dad's out of town.
27:10That doesn't help.
27:12Hey, Kelvin.
27:14Hello.
27:14Good morning.
27:15How are you?
27:15How are you doing?
27:17I'm well.
27:18Kelvin was just calling to confirm the exact measurements for the banquet cushion because
27:24there's going to be no time for any fixing or correcting.
27:28So the actual measurement that we need, 131 width, 22 inch depth, 3 inch thickness.
27:37Right.
27:38Okay.
27:39Will we be able to pick it up Monday morning?
27:42Yes, ma'am.
27:43Yes, ma'am.
27:43Kelvin, we love you.
27:44Thank you so much.
27:45Miracle worker.
27:46Okay.
27:47Bless weekend.
27:48You too.
27:49Thank you as well.
27:49We'll see you Monday.
27:50All right.
27:50We have to go measure those windows.
27:51We got to get the windows.
27:53And we'll see y'all in a bit.
27:54All right.
27:54All right.
27:54Let's go.
27:55Okay.
27:56Oh.
27:58This feels like they don't want us to come in.
28:01It's like a hard no.
28:02Oh.
28:03Oh.
28:04Bugs me.
28:04All right.
28:05Well, that's a hard no.
28:06Let's just do it from outside.
28:07Yeah.
28:07Every room feels taped off.
28:09It's frustrating.
28:10I know.
28:10But I know that we've given them a very hard job.
28:13And if we want it to be perfect, we will leave them alone.
28:16We just have to give them the time to do it.
28:18So 45 feels safe.
28:2045 does feel safe.
28:21Yeah.
28:21We will be patiently waiting for each room to open up.
28:25And as soon as it does, we're going to be in there like white on rice.
28:30And I think it's going to get done.
28:32Let's get in some AC.
28:34Yeah.
28:35Seriously.
28:36The two of us, we can do anything.
28:37We set our minds to.
28:38And if we can't, I'm calling Grumpy and blaming him.
28:46We're just falling in high?
28:47Yeah.
28:48No, I'm rolling.
28:49And we're rolling here.
28:50There's still so much that has to be done.
28:53But this is a huge thing that we can check off of our list.
28:56So basically, get out of his way.
28:57No.
28:58He needed me.
28:59And he told me he needed me.
29:01Don't bring that back.
29:02Calvin is a miracle worker.
29:04I'm helping.
29:05He's got the banquette cushion measurements on Friday, Thursday morning.
29:10And he's got it ready.
29:12Donezo.
29:14Bye, Calvin.
29:14Bye.
29:23It's not raining that hard, Chelsea.
29:26I'm sugar.
29:27I melt.
29:28I'm really excited about today.
29:30We're going to go shopping.
29:31I love shopping.
29:32Because the Victorson family is so vibrant, we need to find something that's not our typical
29:38antique store find.
29:40That's so cute.
29:41Those are adorable.
29:43I think we need all of this.
29:46We want things that will activate their imagination.
29:50Look at the pink with the red lamp.
29:52It's like the exact colors in the room.
29:54Yep.
29:55This is perfect.
29:56Oh, maybe we should get the mirror.
29:58And I think the lion, too.
30:00I think we need, like, something substantial to put on either side of the fireplace.
30:04I just don't know the width of it.
30:06You don't.
30:07I'm going to try to call my dad on vacation.
30:08He's going to love this.
30:10Ooh.
30:12What?
30:13You on a boat?
30:14Hi.
30:15Hello.
30:16I'm on a boat.
30:17I'm on a boat.
30:18I'm on a vacation.
30:18I just wanted to say, I miss y'all's faces and the measurements for a room.
30:25I need to know the width of the space on either side of the fireplace in the Victorson playroom.
30:32You want to know the measurements on either side of the fireplace?
30:36I did.
30:36You're the same.
30:40Are you sure?
30:41Thanks, Dad.
30:41Are you sure?
30:42Yeah, it's right smack dab in the middle.
30:45Well, I would say this.
30:47What you might do, if you can look up the plan that I've sent you probably three times.
30:53If you look up and see what the width of the room is, take four feet off of it, and you ought to be pretty close.
30:59All right.
31:00We got to go now.
31:02We have some relaxing we have to do.
31:04The worst.
31:05Love you.
31:07Grumpy being out of town is a mild inconvenience.
31:11Mild.
31:12But we found so many great things here.
31:16We really did.
31:17Perfect.
31:19And now we have one day to get this out of the wedding.
31:24Quick counting.
31:25I don't have to count much.
31:26It's just one.
31:27Not.
31:29And we've got everything we need.
31:31Amazing.
31:32I know.
31:39This might be the very first time we don't get finished.
31:43We've asked a lot of the painters.
31:45Like, perfect vertical stripes.
31:48Let's do a half dip in this room.
31:49And it takes time to do it correctly.
31:52And it's a cluster a little bit.
31:55It feels messy.
31:56We don't have a ruck.
32:00The grumpy that gets it done is not here to push people.
32:06And I need a delegator.
32:07You're a great delegator.
32:08But you're also a great delegator.
32:11This thing's like 100 pounds.
32:14Oh, that's made of marble.
32:15Oh, it's literally made of marble.
32:25Anxiety level 15 is 25.
32:29What's the scale here?
32:311 to 10.
32:32Oh.
32:32Yeah.
32:33I feel stressed.
32:35Well, I think you should stop feeling stressed.
32:37We can't get into any of the rooms on the side of the house to even start.
32:42There is a taped off wall.
32:44They literally taped us out of the room.
32:47Yeah.
32:48Everything's taped off.
32:49We are not allowed in rooms.
32:51No.
32:52I wanted to cry a little bit.
32:53I think you actually did cry a little bit.
32:55I think I saw a tear.
32:57Do you see?
32:58I'm actually tearing up.
33:02How much longer are you going to do the plastic?
33:07We're not allowed.
33:08Okay.
33:09I have peaked.
33:11And I think that the walls are pretty much done.
33:14They are just soft and wet.
33:17We might have to move it again in a minute, though.
33:19Towards Garrett, a hair.
33:21That was two hairs.
33:24Now the whole thing.
33:29It's good.
33:30I like it.
33:31We have everything in place.
33:32And as staged as it possibly can be.
33:35But at this point, we've hit a wall.
33:38And that's a wall of plastic.
33:44God, I'm so hungry.
33:46We literally are sitting around waiting on paint to dry.
33:51And because some of these walls were plaster, it takes even longer for it to dry.
33:56Because the sheetrock at least absorbs the paint.
33:58I need a little grumpy right now.
34:05Expectations, Gray.
34:06You must meet the expectations.
34:08Is that what he said?
34:09Mm-hmm.
34:10At least it feels right.
34:12We're in!
34:17Oh, my gosh.
34:18Oh, my gosh!
34:21This is exciting.
34:22This is looking good.
34:23I was talking about, like, hanging them all.
34:32Or, like, all in a row.
34:36I don't know.
34:38Like this.
34:39Adorable.
34:40Up here, though?
34:41Love.
34:42It feels like a new day.
34:45Maybe a new evening.
34:47Don't touch it.
34:49Chelsea Eastman.
34:51Stop it.
34:51Stop!
34:53Looks really good.
34:55Chelsea!
34:56A little hope.
34:58It got dark there for a minute.
34:59Just for a second.
35:00For whatever, I feel like these, because of the line, I feel like any art that goes up,
35:05we should, if it's possible, we should try to...
35:07Halfway?
35:08Yeah, so this will be our starting point.
35:10And then these can go below it.
35:12It's probably going to be a late night.
35:14Yeah.
35:14We've done it before, and we will do it again.
35:17Okay.
35:19Let's just do it.
35:20Good.
35:21Glad you're back from vacay.
35:34All rested.
35:35I'm so glad.
35:36Made it back.
35:37I am the opposite.
35:39We did all the work without you.
35:40So you didn't need me.
35:41Hi!
35:42How are you guys?
35:43We're excited.
35:44Good to see you.
35:45Good to see you again.
35:46Yes, sir.
35:46Good to see you.
35:48Yeah.
35:49You probably didn't think we were going to make it.
35:51We had our doubts.
35:53We didn't think we were going to make it either, but...
35:54No, we knew you would.
35:55We're excited for you to see it.
35:57We can't wait.
35:57We're excited.
35:58You ready to go?
35:58Let's do it.
35:59Let's do it.
35:59Oh my goodness.
36:06Oh my gosh.
36:07There's color everywhere.
36:10This is stunning.
36:11Look at the trim.
36:12This looks amazing.
36:13It's different.
36:14It's in it once.
36:15It's amazing.
36:16It feels like a completely new room.
36:18I just can't believe this is our house.
36:20It's so fun to see our stuff with new life in a different way.
36:24I love how it's been flipped, too.
36:26Yeah.
36:26Okay.
36:27We were hoping that you would like that.
36:29I feel like it makes sense.
36:31It does.
36:31It does.
36:32Stunning.
36:33It's amazing.
36:34I'm not often speechless, but I don't have room.
36:36I love it so much.
36:38We're just getting started.
36:39I'm excited to show you the breakfast room because we tried to be really sure that the two spaces tied together nicely.
36:46So...
36:47I'll make me.
36:48This is stunning.
36:59I want to lay on that.
37:00Hey, you could fit, actually.
37:03We have so much more space.
37:05So much room for activities.
37:08And there's an extra leaf under here.
37:12Make this bigger.
37:12Oh, so this goes even bigger.
37:14Only a slight upgrade from our little floor top we had before.
37:17It doesn't even feel like the same space.
37:19It doesn't.
37:20I'm obsessed.
37:21And we used some of your pillows.
37:23It's your idea.
37:23Yes.
37:23I love how you brought those in.
37:24Yeah.
37:25I love it.
37:27I know you were worried about it being dark, but it's super bright.
37:30Yeah.
37:31It does not feel dark.
37:32Yeah.
37:32It's very, really sweet.
37:34It feels so special.
37:34It's amazing.
37:35This is beautiful.
37:38You know, I love red and pink.
37:39So the fact that we were able to make that tie-in, it's amazing.
37:44Gray and Chelsea are like the banquette queens.
37:47And I've never really bought into the banquette world, but this one makes this room work.
37:52I agree.
37:53It's perfect.
37:54Okay, good.
37:55Should we look at the rest of the kitchen?
37:57See how it all ties together?
38:01The wallpaper throughout just looks so good.
38:05It feels huge.
38:06Does it feel different?
38:07Yeah.
38:07It feels way different.
38:09It just feels open.
38:10Yeah.
38:10Look at the backsplash.
38:11I know.
38:12I love how that turned out.
38:13I was so worried about losing that window.
38:16And that feels so purposeful.
38:18Yeah.
38:18It feels like it's supposed to be there.
38:19The shelves look awesome.
38:21I love these light fixtures.
38:23How they pull some of, like, from the shade over here.
38:26And it's just a little funky.
38:27Yeah.
38:28There's a lot more color and a whole lot more funk right around the corner.
38:31We like both of those things.
38:32There's a lot more where this came from.
38:36Ow.
38:38Oh, my goodness.
38:42Oh, my gosh.
38:45Wow.
38:45I just love this.
38:47This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen.
38:49It's hard to believe that this room was, like, cut in half.
38:52Yeah.
38:52Yeah, and there used to be a door in here.
38:54I know.
38:55Yeah.
38:58Is the ceiling pink?
38:59Uh-huh.
39:00Oh.
39:00Oh, it's dipped, as they say.
39:03It is dipped.
39:04It's a half dip.
39:05A half dip.
39:06It's like one of those ice cream cones that are dipped in chocolate.
39:08My favorite kind.
39:09It's only dipped in strawberry.
39:11And even the door is cut in half.
39:14I love it.
39:15It's perfect.
39:16That's really cool.
39:17This is the only playroom that's got a wood-burning fireplace in it.
39:22That's true.
39:23That's true.
39:23Yeah, it's true.
39:24I love this space, but I think my favorite space in this whole house
39:29is your primary suite.
39:31And I'm going to pop if I don't get to show you soon.
39:34We should see it.
39:35Let's do it.
39:37Okay, come on in.
39:39Holy crap.
39:43Oh, my goodness.
39:44This is insane.
39:47This is so beautiful.
39:49Oh, my God.
39:49The stripes look incredible.
39:52This is so special.
39:54It is.
39:55How it brings all the colors together.
39:57It brings in the red.
39:58It brings in the blue.
39:58Favorite room by far.
40:00This is better than I ever could have imagined.
40:02It's amazing.
40:03The windows look so cool.
40:05Yeah, so we went with the shears.
40:07I really wanted to see the red pop because it's so fun.
40:10Yeah.
40:10You know.
40:11And we've got, like, the scallop thing that's still, you know, it's on the light picture.
40:16It's on the lamp.
40:16It's on the bed.
40:17Yes.
40:18Hard to believe that they used to park my car right here.
40:20That's wild.
40:21I like it a little bit better now.
40:23It's just, like, a little bit for me.
40:24Just a little bit.
40:26I've never been in a bedroom like it.
40:27I know.
40:27And I love that.
40:28Yeah.
40:29No, same.
40:30And one of the nice things about having a primary suite is that you get a primary bath to go with it.
40:36Really?
40:37You do.
40:37I think that's our last room to show you.
40:40Let's do it.
40:41Yeah.
40:42Oh.
40:43Oh.
40:45Oh, my gosh.
40:46Wow, wow, wow.
40:49That is crazy.
40:51It's like art.
40:53Incredible.
40:53That's a nice shower I've ever seen.
40:56An art piece.
40:57And we have a double vanity.
40:58A double vanity.
40:59We don't have to stagger our routines anymore.
41:03I put a little hidden treasure in your potty room.
41:07Can I just peek in there?
41:08Yeah.
41:12That's for Jake.
41:14I put a lady in there who's going to make sure that you close the lid when you're done.
41:18Yep.
41:19Shut it.
41:20Down.
41:22It's amazing, like, where I'm standing right here, I can see, like, the green.
41:26I see the pink and the red, and then I, like, see it carried through, and it's just, like,
41:32amazing how it all ties together so well.
41:34You know, when we started this months ago, you had faith in us, and you had no trepidation
41:40about handing your key over to us and giving us your house.
41:43And we'd like it back.
41:46We'd like it back now.
41:48It won't be the same one because it wasn't colorful enough.
41:52Thank you for allowing us the freedom to do some really fun things.
41:56That's what you guys are the best at, and you crushed it.
42:00Walking in, everything just felt new.
42:03It was just so fun.
42:05Yeah.
42:06I'm so excited.
42:07It turned out better than I ever could imagine.
42:10This is your new playroom.
42:13It just feels like us.
42:14It feels happy.
42:16I keep saying, like, I can't believe I get to live here now.
42:19It just feels like home.
42:20Do you want to jump on the bed?
42:21Yeah.
42:23Jump.
42:24Yeah.
42:24Yeah.
42:24Yeah.
42:24Yeah.
42:24Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:25Yeah.
42:26Yeah.
42:26Yeah.
42:26Yeah.
42:26Yeah.
42:26Yeah.
42:26Yeah.
42:27Yeah.
42:27Yeah.
42:28Yeah.
42:28Yeah.
