00:42The university was cracking down on Palestinian

00:44activism on campus

00:46It's completely farcical to

00:48imply that in any way

00:50Jewish people were being persecuted

00:52I have never felt

00:54more proud to be Jewish

00:56than when I was pushing our university

00:58to divest from genocide

01:00They would just criminalize anyone

01:02who would participate in a protest

01:04That was the moment where students were like

01:06we need to do something

01:08more

01:10The people they won't leave

01:12was threatening about

01:14divesting a one at peace

01:16The university would say

01:18like oh you're overestimating your power

01:20I remember like telling them

01:22there are 60 universities

01:24setting up encampments across the United States

01:26We got Yale

01:28holding it down right now

01:30on live!

01:32What you willing to risk?

01:34What you willing to give?

01:36What if you were in Gaza?

01:38What if those were your kids?

01:40In 68 the students at Columbia

01:42took over the campus

01:44mainly in protest of the war in Vietnam

01:46Columbia talks about how it was okay then

01:48It was very contagious

01:50We kind of watched Columbia in awe

01:52and we knew we were next

01:54The only weapon they have is fear

01:56and we call their force

01:58They have nothing!
