02:52But let me tell you, show them how you're going to show your acting to Sprean, sir.
02:59Like that.
03:00Okay, can you do your visually impaired person properly?
03:02Well, he gave me the best piece of direction I've got in a very long time.
03:05He saw something I did in the first take and he said, okay, stop, stop.
03:08And then he said, hey, Seth, Seth, I have idea.
03:10Open your eyes and pretend you can't see.
03:13So I said, that was perfect.
03:18That was good.
03:19That was it.

03:32It's a lie.
03:33Come sit, man.
03:34Finally.
03:35Well, you should put some warning there, you know.
03:39You don't even know when you're going to fall.

04:25Is a personal photographer.
04:26It is.
04:27It is.
04:29I know.
04:30So coming back to this sofa now, Twinkle, how do you feel, interviewing your husband
04:38probably for the first time?
04:39I am not telling you that.
04:40Probably not.
04:41You probably interviewed him before she married him.
04:43I interrogate him all the time.
04:44I don't think she's interviewed him.
04:48tell you once one thing she's more nervous than me because at one point both of you were her
04:53favorites and we're still a favorite one sec and today absolutely she doesn't want me to say this
04:59but today we finally have that guest on our couch who has had a bath in her bathroom hey bhagwan
05:06yes chef please i beg you
05:08i beg you so so just to clarify this sef had come where first when he came to first when
05:19he came to mumbai he lived three buildings away from me or malabar hill maybe i see cheez
05:28and he has come over and he has had a bath at my place i don't remember having a
05:35uh she had a little camera there so we have some images which uh you know she shared with me
05:42a little camera to capture little things
05:47good one i was the first person i met in terms of movies when i came to bombay and we were living
05:53next to each other yes i remember i remember your house and your flat and you remember my mom telling
05:59you that listen if you want to have a bath here go and have a bath right of course yeah but didn't
06:04you find saeed jaffrey in your tub also you have lots of bathroom we shot we did yay dillagi and
06:09simla together yes i don't know whether you remember that and jaffrey was amazing he was he had he rest
06:15in peace he was sometimes he used to have a few drinks and and fall asleep on my shoulder at a public
06:21function and then wake up and said he's still talking he's this man and he was really like really good
06:28fun he was fab so how did he end up in the did i use his bathroom no no no no you were in your bathroom
06:35and then your but your door was open i was having a tub bath yeah yeah so his door was open with candles
06:40and then he came and then his room was the next so he forgot it was his room he entered his room
06:47and then and then he wanted to take a bath so he already has removed all his clothes all his clothes
06:54then he has removed the curtain of the bathroom and he saw him naked inside and he's wondering why
07:00is safe in my bathroom in his bathtub and he said nothing okay and he also entered they both were
07:08inside the tub no what where the stories become house full four it's become house full i think you
07:16have to stop going in people's bathrooms or letting them into yours now we have too many images of you
07:21naked in the bathroom these things can happen to anyone yeah no it's never happened to any of us
07:26okay guys later later so i believe that i believe that some astrologer predicted that you would get
07:33married to twinkle is that true yeah that what's the story behind it you say it's your interview it's
07:39not mine it's yours it's your astrologer yeah so my father had an astrologer who once said that i would
07:46marry akshay kumar and i didn't know him and then i married him yeah that was true that was true he
07:52was a very good astrologer i mean 18 years ago he said i'd become a well-known writer i hadn't written
07:56a thing so yeah you want his number i can give it to you i don't think i want to he stays in
08:01i don't want to know the future i like the uncertainty absolutely like we were also not sure
08:08very deep i must say very deep i mean a lot of uncertainty we didn't know this was going to be
08:16so you were you predicted the marriage he predicted that but we didn't really believe him he told my
08:21dad we actually met because of my dad my dad had an old producer friend and you know like how some
08:27emperor says i have commanded that this happens my father said you have to work in this movie because
08:32i have given my work and i didn't want to work with him at that point but i did really pushed in
08:37that film just do this film it was not because of you it was because of me because of me ask her
08:42no because she was working with amazing people like me
08:47we did she said not him why didn't you want to work with him he was going through a bad phase i was
08:52being snobby i had given lots of flops so she didn't wanted to you've always given first many
09:00that's why she didn't want to work with me but this much i must tell you that once i got married
09:04to her my luck is together huh sorry i said when i got married to her my luck changed after that
09:11luck was good before it was good before sorry sorry dumb yeah no no it was my marriage
09:16and it was my this thing it is my interview and it's my story it's your life and your
09:24peace of mind history is written by the people who write it she's going to be interviewing for
09:29me for the first time but uh let me tell you a story how we got married okay straight away
09:36she didn't believe in that you know what she did she has removed my did my father have any kind of
09:53disease or genetic background all genetic all dna background she's removed from till my mamas and
09:59chachas and chachis to see what was there what are the future problems exactly how the children are
10:04going to be and then and only then she decided that locate i can manage what kind of genetic
10:11is a no-no i don't want to be mean and really say that but yeah there were certain conditions that i
10:16would not agree to have in my genetic guys who wore glasses yeah yeah i have a friend who hit the fact
10:21that she wore glasses till she got engaged and she got engaged the wrong guy you should take tips from her
10:28and there was another astrologer who predicted his marriage to whom yeah we were right there when all
10:38of this was happening oh she was also there yeah and at that point you went and you tattooed her name
10:42on your arm yes i that was a bit reckless but no it wasn't i was pretty sure that this is it in that sense
10:48but i wanted a tattoo so i said i'm going to get one on my shoulder and what should i get and i was
10:52talking to her about it and before i knew it it was the full name on my arm and i wanted something
11:00more subtle on the shoulder it wasn't actually the first person who knew about you and bebo well i'm
11:04not surprised if you did i mean i because i used to get up early and i saw him going somewhere i said
11:11what the hell are you doing where are you going you know honestly i had no eye when i went to ladhak i
11:16said okay now i don't want relationships it's time to focus on work and be single um and that worked out
11:21really well yeah i just chose you know and i remember but she was kind of we used to go for
11:26these long walks and she'd ask me a lot of questions which was like a kind of a test meets interview like
11:32what is your view on love and what do you think about all these things so we walked and walked and
11:37walked and then came back to her room and i thought maybe you know she'd ask me in for a further
11:41conversation and then her hairdresser himaji opened the door and she went and hid behind her and said okay bye
11:47i'll talk to you tomorrow so this kind of went on for a while it's very old-fashioned so between the
11:52two husbands one keeps it fairly private one makes his body into a billboard with tattoos now i have
11:58your name on my body no he does he also has a tattoo where i have seen it so you've seen it many times
12:04yeah and your children i can't move it it's here every time you take your clothes off in front of me
12:12i have tina's name here my daughter's name here and my son's name here yeah it's branded for life yeah
12:19so twinkle has not gotten a tattoo of you do you think that's unfair no no absolutely not
12:24why no never never pressurize them never pressurize them never never say anything nothing is permanent in
12:30life babe tattoos our marriages are not i don't need to have to change it both of y'all are very
12:37different you all have very opposing viewpoints yeah i'm sure there are times when you just seriously
12:43cannot agree on certain things what is the one thing that keeps you coming she's fire i'm water
12:51she says whatever she wants to i just keep myself calm quiet just listen try and understand what she's
12:58trying to say do whatever you want but listen i i i i think every husband should be a very good
13:08listener or look like a good listener that's that's that depends on your ability to act and god sounding
13:16like my father you know he said that was his advice to me once when i said oh i'm having this fight or
13:21something and he said well i was much younger and he said no never fight so i said what do you what do
13:26what do you do he said oh no i i you know think about playing cricket or something when during the
13:31argument i don't say anything listen what he said just look like you're listening yeah yeah look look
13:38in the eyes think of something else my gosh and in the end say okay i understand i understand he's a pro
13:47yeah but i don't agree i think actually love has very little to do with marriage it's a good starting
13:53point but marriage is about being a team it's like you are mahesh bhupati and leander pays you're
13:58whacking every ball that comes your side and also if mahesh bhupati and leander pays like to occasionally
14:04make out preferably twice a week and when the kids are fast why didn't you choose mixed doubles
14:09why didn't you choose mixed doubles as an example i'm very entertaining i didn't understand i think
14:15that that's what it is you could have done mr sanya mirza and mahesh bhupati yeah
14:22i got inspired after seeing your bromance see i've always said that husbands should just stick to two
14:26lines you're right and i'm sorry yeah every kuch kuch or bolne ka koi fayda
14:31you get a t-shirt like that just stop speaking and just wear it this side is your right back
14:36i don't know are you still fighting with your wife no not given up given up long back yeah yeah
14:42she's always right so there's no fight which is why we have a fun segment called when your wife says
14:47we'll throw you a classic wife line and let's see if you know what that means okay okay so the first one
14:53is do whatever you want it's like i mean first she's already said what i have to do and then she will
14:59say the statement do whatever you want that means do what i have told you so that is how it goes and
15:05what about you agree what if she says let's see or we'll see that what i'm saying only but we can
15:13you we can pretend we're going to discuss it again like even you have a say in the family even you can
15:20talk about whatever you want but we'll see means jimana bula we're you know what about we need to talk
15:29it's usually a bit of trouble or something maybe you've done something or you need to discuss
15:33something means you have done some big mistake and now what i'm going to tell you you have to follow
15:41it's like a big mistake has been yeah that's what i'm saying oh my gosh okay i never took it so
15:45seriously when i say we need to talk i'm just like we need to talk no that's what you think
15:49and in your mind behind your mind you really have that thing like this
15:57that all depends see there are there are different different ways of saying
16:04we need to talk it's a very casual one we need to talk wow this delivery and then
16:11there's another thing in front of people if she says that that means that's very dangerous
16:16listen we need to talk okay i don't think there are different different ways of saying it like
16:22in acting also we stay one sentence in different different way if we can we try to
16:30what if she says do i look fat in this what do you say we're holding hands throughout the show
16:36later later what sorry twinkle it's okay you can finish all your footsie cuddling whatever y'all are
16:46doing what was it what if she says do i look fat in this what is your response obviously not never
16:52fat but you know what i have a feeling you must have asked bebo this that you look fat in this
16:57i remember once telling me that oh thank god i've lose motions because i've lost a kilo and a half
17:03so this is very likely your question bebo do i look fat in this there is nothing like going to
17:07the loo loose or not to lose weight i once thought i'd lost two kilos
17:16okay now to more serious things come on absolutely yeah you got married pretty young yeah at 21 yes
17:22actually so i mean i've spoken about it a lot and obviously i 21 is young and and things change and
17:28um we know that things didn't work out but apart from having two wonderful wonderful children i would
17:34i don't think i've said before how important uh amrita was in my life to to help me understand my way
17:41through the film industry as well as understand quite a few things and her kind of contribution and um help
17:48at that time was something that's been quite invaluable also and it's a pity things did not work out but um
17:53she brought you up well i mean i kind of i mean there was a lot there was some really uh learning
18:00and important years and like i said wonderful mom but i'm very lucky i think uh my ex-wife and i uh
18:07get along well enough we usually speak about important things and usually when i'm in a hospital bed
18:11but you land up in the hospital quite often quite often so it's a regular kind of uh contact do you
18:19have a bed there they've named a room after me i think unsafe safe too many times accidents have
18:26happened actually i think like nine life cat it's been seven but the last one was really traumatic i mean
18:31we all heard about it and you know and we were all like you were and i think he told me the whole story
18:37and he enacted the whole thing and it is actually quite dangerous what happened to him well we had
18:42just gone to sleep and and kareena had been out and i had finished watching a movie with the boys and
18:47and they'd gone to sleep and everything and it's actually quite late it was uh why later two o'clock or
18:53something in the morning and kareena came back we had a small chat and then you know went to sleep
18:58and then the maid came in and she said jay baba ke kamran mein koi hai uska hat mein chakku hai
19:03oh my god so i kind of just heard that and rolled out of bed and i barged into jay's room and in the
19:10dark and i saw this guy standing over his bed with a knife and then i but he was not pointing at him
19:16no but he touched me had cut him later because the nurse had was trying to talk to him jay in the arms
19:21likely he got a little nick here and the sister got a nick on her hand he was kind of poking a knife at
19:25them and i kind of walked in and i saw this guy and i thought he's smaller than me which means
19:33he's not very large and i jumped on him and of course jay later told me it's a big mistake you
19:39should have punched him or kicked him or something but i jumped and we started this fight and then
19:43he went mad he had these two knives and he just started slashing all over at me and i tried to
19:48remember my training and i blocked a couple here and then but and then i felt this thump in my back
19:54that was really hard and then we started fighting and rolling and the kids were out and everyone was out
19:58the room and gita i helped help me in this struggle and so pushed this guy off me and pretty much saved
20:05i think my life at that point because he had cut me everywhere in my neck and back there's blood
20:09everywhere and and then we blocked him in the room and i remembered i said i need a weapon of some sort
20:14you know because and the two swords that we have hanging on the wall upstairs outside the diary so me
20:20and haria another help went and grabbed them but i couldn't walk properly i was feeling i'd been stabbed in
20:25the leg but actually i'd been nicked in the spine um and kareena said i think we should go to hospital
20:30i'm going to take jay to my sisters and he was locked in the room he had escaped the way he came
20:35because he came up through a drain pipe yeah we had we thought we'd locked him in the room and i
20:41kind of looked at them or them looked at me upstairs and he said he said oh my god he said are you going
20:45to die and i said no i don't think so but i've got a pain in the back i don't know if i'm not going to
20:50die i'm fine so i said i'm fine it's just a cut in my back so i'll go to hospital and you take the
20:56kids and go to lolo's and that was the idea we stopped a rickshaw and last minute tim said he
21:00wanted to come with me and i was getting a lot of kind of peace looking at him it was weird there
21:06was a lot of adrenaline there's a lot of calm so all decisions were taken but it was and then we
21:11walked into hospital and they were all sleepy in the emergency area and i told a guy can you get a
21:15stretcher and uh he said wheelchair i said no i think i need a stretcher so he said no then finally
21:21i said hey hey because he wasn't waking up i said i'm safely khan this is a medical emergency
21:27and he went oh and then you know all pandemonium broke loose but everyone was there but great
21:33doctors and they all sorted it out it's off to you for fighting and i think i said that's very brave
21:38you say that thank you no no that's very brave of you it doesn't happen and let me tell you you have
21:43been a real hero thank you at least for your son and for your family you're a real hero you're kind
21:48because and jay thought oh god this is all right okay but um i think this is a what the moment
22:00so we saw a video of you after coming back from the hospital actually getting out of the car and
22:05walking and i was like amazed but i mean there was so many when it was finished there were some you
22:10know people from there and a lot of advice and how to go and the media were curious and i kept nobody
22:17was listening to me because i said listen if the media is curious we should settle it and let me just
22:22walk out of the hospital because i can walk it was very bad but it was okay that stitched it up and i
22:27was there for a week and the back was okay and i was painful to walk but i could walk the wheelchair was
22:33not required and somebody said you should go in an ambulance somebody said you should go in a
22:37wheelchair and my instinct was why create any kind of panic or worry even with family fans well wishes
22:44anyone and just walk out to send a picture message that you're okay you know so that was the idea but
22:50then there was so much kind of feedback on that that this is fake and that's true but that's the kind
22:55of world we live in but this is the reason i did it because i called your mom after that and she said i
22:59told him to go in a wheelchair why doesn't he ever listen to me i didn't want to create worry there would
23:03have been no controversy he's a brave man thank you i i'm telling you i know him so well we've done
23:10about six to seven films more than that i presume and some of the stunts he couldn't do but he would
23:16still try he would just do it he would just jump so many films and he's the actual hero and because i'm with
23:23him because he used to say so all those years of practicing i'm just jumping i remember him
23:32he had to do that helicopter thing and all
23:34yes i remember it and then he didn't jump
23:55he jumped at the right time he jumped at the right time absolutely
23:59he's a real life hero you're a real life hero but both of you could not be more different i mean
24:06if we had to just count all the differences we'd have to you know get another episode going no but
24:11basically you all are very different i mean actually when you were hustling for tips in bangkok and
24:14say if i believe that you were taking money out of your father's wallet at some point he wouldn't
24:19notice my mother would have counted yeah she'd always knew well why you needed that i don't know
24:26it was for coffee it was for food i wasn't a very good boy it was very naughty it was a food and you
24:31still are it was food because they weren't feeding me oh gosh please you grew up in palaces and you
24:38came from a very humble background like there was unpainted palaces it was a big struggle
24:46it was tough yeah there was like
24:49unpainted palaces it wasn't even wasn't air-conditioned
24:52you were running around unpainted palaces but you came from a very humble background you took me
24:57to you see your grandmother's house in chandini chalk it was a small room 10 feet by 10 feet and
25:02she told me that 13 14 of you would stay there including 24 in one room in one room including
25:08both of you you all couldn't have been more different but you all made your own way how did
25:13both of you all get into the business though both of all i know your story let's start with i can tell you
25:18his story okay why don't you do that why don't you tell us each other's stories well i don't know
25:24where he'll start before but there was a time when he was a very good looking martial arts teacher
25:28and then someone said why don't you do some modeling and then he went there and he met a young model
25:34called sonia who he shot with who said and he said and he said you look left look right that's how you do
25:41it so of course he did that and then at one point she sat on oh yeah i told you this story about
25:45she sat on a lap and he said this is a good job i'm getting paid i'm getting paid 10 times more
25:51than the martial arts stuff and sonia sitting on my lap so and then he then he got offered a
25:58i wanted to know when he first because i remember when we were working together and somehow you were
26:03more quiet and reserved and action and when did you suddenly realize that you're the like best comic
26:10actor in in the country all thanks to priya darshan oh raj kumar santoshi and a writer and a director
26:18called neeraj vora so but these are the three people responsible you know sometimes you meet people
26:25who just push you and get you to a spot where you don't even realize that you can reach the level
26:32so they are these are the people and i'm very thankful to them to just making me go to there but
26:38saif in the beginning when you entered this business your hindi was really obnoxious and you
26:45had a lot of trouble especially when you were working with you know people like sunil dat and
26:49yash chopra what happened during your first shoot please tell me well i don't know if i should say in
26:55this studio so yesterday rest in peace i mean i wasn't helping me do this scene i know studio also
27:01just remember that before he's a great director but he'd worked with very big stars who are very capable
27:06actors so after a long time he'd got a newcomer who had no idea so he said to me this is your
27:13introduction scene ah but i wanted to come inside and be very loud and happy your friends are sitting and
27:18having uh coffee in the shop and you come in your name is pratab and then i said okay camera started
27:29i said action so i came to the market pr-pr-pr-pratab has landed so he said cut
27:34Why are you laughing at me?
27:38So I said, sir...
27:46It's just a joke.
27:48So that was my first shot.
27:50Oh my God!
27:52Why did you do that?
27:54I said, that's what he wanted me to do.
27:56He said, just do what I'm doing and this is what you have to do.
27:58So that was the first shot.
28:00And you still made it all the way. Congratulations.
28:02Oh God!
28:04But you all have both had your share of successes, failures.
28:08I mean, dealing with a box office is like flying a kite.
28:10Sometimes it soars effortlessly, sometimes it just crashes down.
28:13How do both of you cope with the success and the failure?
28:17I think you stay balanced during both times.
28:19Just enjoy the work.
28:20At least speaking for myself,
28:22there comes a time when you realize,
28:24I think this kind of thing is not working anymore.
28:26At least for me.
28:27So let me try and change a little track or find a different...
28:30So you just choose different, please.
28:32I think he should speak.
28:33Go on, you say.
28:34One thing is there for sure,
28:36that you don't know anything else besides acting
28:38and being in the industry.
28:40So what should we do?
28:41We should just keep on working.
28:43It affects me until Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
28:46Monday, I'm shooting again.
28:48I always say to anybody, any newcomer also, I'll always say,
28:51just keep on working.
28:53Sometimes, you know, people say that, I mean,
28:55that we don't get a big role, we get a small role.
28:58I mean, what I am saying is that if we get a small role,
29:01we don't get a big role at this time,
29:03then take a big role.
29:04Like a big quote,
29:06the day has been warned the time of the time.
29:07Well done.
29:08I've seen it.
29:09I've seen it, with my eyes.
29:11I've seen this happening and that's what happened.
29:13and you will not know that you started with two scenes and now you have 20 scenes and then you have 200 scenes and then you have 200 scenes.
29:26I have seen it with my eyes. I have seen this happening and that's what happened.
29:32Haksha, you deliver multiple movies a year and Saif you spaced them out. Is that intentional?
29:37He doesn't want to work so much but I would like to tell you that we miss you. You should keep on coming on the screen.
29:45Do about three films a year and keep on working.
29:49I'm trying to do two. The only thing is with small kids and stuff. It's so hard work. They start weeping when I go on an outdoor for a week.
29:57It's lucky in a sense when you have grown up kids.
30:00But they were also small. I didn't produce straight away grown up.
30:04So along with children, Akshay you've produced some very interesting films as well.
30:09Like Oh My God, Toilet Ek Prem Katha. I mean a lot to do with social commentary.
30:14So where did that aspect of it come into, you know all the rest of your action genre?
30:19It only started when I started producing in my own company.
30:24Like I would like to do even Padman or Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Airlift.
30:30So these are all films which I have produced myself.
30:33Absolutely.
30:34So I always wanted to do this kind of film which has some message to give.
30:38Oh my God.
30:39Yeah, absolutely. Loved the film.
30:40It was about sex education.
30:42Loved it.
30:43And things like that. So this is, I always wanted to.
30:46So when I had good amount of money where I could produce it myself.
30:51And that is how I started changing my direction.
30:54He takes a lot of risks.
30:55I mean, I remember when we did Padman together.
30:57He wasn't meant to do Padman.
30:58It was just a story I was writing.
31:00Yeah, she wanted to take someone else.
31:02I wanted to take someone else.
31:03And I convinced them.
31:05See, I told Balki also take me. I'll be good.
31:10And the way he convinced us.
31:11Did you audition?
31:12No, he did audition.
31:13But he said a very important thing.
31:14He said, if someone like me, you know, a big movie star stands up there and holds a sanitary pad in my hand,
31:21it will change the narrative for everybody.
31:23Not in these exact words, but this is what he said.
31:25No, but he's also done.
31:26Yeah, he is, absolutely.
31:28Okay, guys, I think we've spoken enough.
31:30It's time to move on to our next segment called OPPO presents This Side, That Side.
31:34Absolutely.
31:35So it's simple.
31:37We read out a prompt.
31:38And if you agree with it, you get into the green square.
31:41And if you don't, it's the red square.
31:44Let's go.
31:45So me and Saif are alike.
31:46I mean, if Saif only plays it, it's the same thing.
31:48Yeah, Saif planning to sit there and say, you do it.
31:50You do it.
31:51Oh my God.
31:52Husbands are more high maintenance than wives.
31:56Yes.
31:57Two ways about it.
31:59Saif, you come back here.
32:01You come here on this side, please.
32:02Thank you very much.
32:03No, I have to think.
32:04No, you are.
32:05Secretly, you are.
32:06I need a lot of...
32:07Yes!
32:08Say it!
32:09Finally, something we agree on.
32:11One foot.
32:12Something we agree on finally.
32:13You can put one foot on, Saif.
32:15No, but listen, you have to say now, husbands are more high maintenance.
32:19You have to defend it.
32:20In what way?
32:21Wait, let me come out here.
32:22Say it!
32:23Okay, I'll go there.
32:24No, no, no.
32:25Come back.
32:26Come back.
32:27No, no, I'll go here.
32:28I'm telling you, come here, Saif.
32:29You'll be safe.
32:30You'll be safe here.
32:31What?
32:32It's fine.
32:33There's nothing to say now.
32:34You've changed?
32:35We are more high maintenance than wives now.
32:36I think wives are more high maintenance than women are.
32:38More high maintenance than women are.
32:39How?
32:40We are on high maintenance.
32:41You guys are the double dholkis over here.
32:43Please.
32:44You have happily changed your stance.
32:45No, no, no.
32:46Listen.
32:47I'm not a hero.
32:48Sorry.
32:49Sorry.
32:50I can't.
32:51Listen.
32:52Listen.
32:53I love you, but I don't live with you.
32:56I love you, but I don't live with you.
32:57And coming to the next front.
32:58Okay.
32:59You have 40 days shooting with me.
33:01Oh, shit.
33:02Oh, my God.
33:03I'm stuck in a hard place now.
33:04And you have action with me.
33:05Oh, no.
33:06Did you just say you're stuck in a hard place?
33:08Oh, my God.
33:09No.
33:10Okay.
33:11Okay.
33:12Morning people are more productive than night people.
33:15Morning people.
33:16Heartily disagree.
33:17Heartily disagree.
33:18I'm not sure Shah Rukh Khan would agree with that.
33:20Yes.
33:21Exactly.
33:22I'm not sure the rest of the world, besides this very small section of morning people,
33:28the rest of the people are all night people.
33:30He's not even morning people.
33:31Okay.
33:32He's not even morning people.
33:33He's gone to morning.
33:34Done by morning.
33:35Saif.
33:36This show has begun at morning 10.30.
33:38Yes.
33:39Will be free by...
33:40No, but one second.
33:41What does morning mean?
33:42Because he wanted to start at 10.30.
33:44He came here at 10.
33:45I had to come here at 7.
33:46Facts.
33:47Right?
33:48Facts.
33:49See, I'd say something.
33:50I would much rather produce in the morning.
33:53We produce or produce.
33:55I would much rather produce in the morning and get the work done.
34:00Right?
34:01But I don't know if night people are less productive.
34:03I don't know.
34:04I don't want to work at night.
34:05I know the production happens at night, but...
34:07The production happens at night.
34:10The reproduction happens at night.
34:11Next.
34:12Next.
34:13Or in the morning.
34:14Hey, anytime.
34:15Okay, the next one.
34:16Live-in relationships are more reliable than marriages.
34:19They may be more reliable, no?
34:21Absolutely not.
34:22No, no.
34:23We're all against it.
34:24No, no.
34:25No, no.
34:26See, marriage is like having a...
34:27Okay, so on.
34:28Next.
34:29Marriage is like having a device.
34:30Okay?
34:31Warranty, you can't return it.
34:32Live-in relationship, you can still do exchanges.
34:34I don't even know how he's doing it with his wife.
34:36I see.
34:37Dude.
34:38Listen.
34:39It's been 25 years, so you don't...
34:42You can't say anything.
34:4325 years.
34:44I'm saying...
34:45Next year is 25.
34:46God bless.
34:47Don't say.
34:48That's true.
34:49I'm saying I don't know how you're doing the show.
34:50I'm saying I don't know how you're doing the show.
34:55Okay?
34:56No, right?
34:57Remixes don't work better.
34:58Remixes work better than original Bollywood songs.
35:01I don't have to do anything here.
35:02Remixes work better than original Bollywood songs.
35:05Absolutely not again.
35:07I can't bear it.
35:08Don't love remixes.
35:09I disagree with this right now.
35:11Because I feel that in today's day and time, if we're speaking of remixes,
35:15most of the old songs are being remixed, and they're becoming hits
35:19because of the fact that they're old, familiar, like your husband.
35:23They're good songs.
35:24And you've nearly thrown him out of the glass for that.
35:26Out of the square for that.
35:27We can do a remix of
35:30Do you remember the step?
35:31I don't know.
35:32Kind of.
35:33I remember this and all.
35:34I don't know.
35:35Oh my God.
35:38Something like that.
35:39What is it?
35:40There's one really fast one.
35:41Actually, I don't think I can do it anymore.
35:42Yeah.
35:43There's that.
35:44There's one.
35:45There's something like this.
35:46Okay, can you all not break our square?
35:48Come here.
35:49You should be happy.
35:50I knew we'd have this flashback to 1995.
35:55Yeah, 1995.
35:56You remember we had gone for a show.
35:58Om.
35:59That was called...
36:00I know the story.
36:01That was called, you know what?
36:03Awesome Fossum.
36:04Awesome Fossum.
36:05Okay, this is Awesome Fossum.
36:06I don't know how this name came, but Awesome Fossum was the show.
36:09And Madonna came to watch our show.
36:12We were doing a...
36:13Oh, we were so excited.
36:15Like, I gave the best performance however I could do.
36:19Then Shahrukh gave his best performance.
36:21Then...
36:22I gave my best performance.
36:23She gave her ultra best performance.
36:25Hopefully.
36:26Then Juhi gave it.
36:27And then came this performer.
36:29And he's written this song in the afternoon when he came to know that Madonna is coming.
36:33And he sung the song.
36:35This song is looking at her and she's there.
36:39For you.
36:42You look to me a virgin.
36:45You have a virgin smile.
36:49And she's sitting down with a kid and a husband.
36:56But she was very nice.
36:57She waited.
36:58Gracious.
36:59Till the song finished.
37:00And then she got up and walked off.
37:02She walked off in the middle of the show.
37:04And I remember her, she's screaming.
37:07And then her mother is also standing.
37:11They were all in a line to shout at him.
37:13He thought he did the best thing.
37:15And I don't know why he sang to her.
37:17You look to me a virgin.
37:18And finished.
37:19That was the end of the show.
37:20We didn't get any Hollywood stars coming to watch the show.
37:24Best story ever.
37:25It's great.
37:26Controversies don't end careers.
37:27They extend them.
37:28Yes.
37:29Depends.
37:30Okay.
37:31So far, we're all alive.
37:35And happening.
37:36We've survived our controversies.
37:37Absolutely.
37:38So, yeah.
37:39I don't know whether they extend them though or not.
37:41They don't extend them.
37:42You just have to keep on working.
37:44That's it.
37:45Yes.
37:46Everything will extend.
37:47Akshay is the only hard working person here.
37:50We are all Velaz.
37:51Let's go.
37:52I know you are working hard.
37:53I know you guys are working very hard.
37:55I see my wife getting up in the morning, 5.30.
37:58Getting ready to come here.
37:59She gets up every day at 5.30.
38:00No.
38:01She gets up at 6.30.
38:02I get up at 6.30.
38:03Oh my God.
38:04I'll tell you something.
38:05I was so proud of her when she was doing her university.
38:08And I used to see my son, my daughter.
38:10They were just going to school in London.
38:12And I was the only Velaz there sitting there.
38:15I used to take the car and drop.
38:17I was so happy that time.
38:18You know, Seth, it's amazing.
38:19I'm dropping my daughter first to school.
38:22Then my son to his university.
38:24Then her to the university.
38:26And I used to come home and just sit with her.
38:28After that, what did you do?
38:29Workout, swim.
38:30Okay, very nice.
38:31Come on now.
38:32Come back on the couch.
38:33Come back.
38:34Okay, no more questions?
38:35No more questions.
38:36Come on.
38:37Peaceful.
38:38Okay, where were we?
38:40Now we are coming to the topic of the day.
38:42We've realized that aging has a distinct male and female perspective.
38:46I mean, we were walking in this morning.
38:49And she was kind of waddling.
38:50And I said, what, are you pregnant?
38:52And she said, no, I have PMS.
38:54And I said, oh, gosh, it's much better than menopause.
38:57And that menopause was a threat.
38:59I mean, I was just telling you what's in store.
39:02But do you guys talk about things like that?
39:04It's sounding like a threat these days.
39:06Like everything's going to change.
39:07I'm going to, or pre, pre, but perimenopause.
39:09Perimenopause and then menopause.
39:11Yeah.
39:12Yeah.
39:13So is it very frightening for us also?
39:14Yes.
39:15Because I think men go through it.
39:16And it's called andropause if I'm not mistaken.
39:17No, no.
39:18If our wives go through it, is it frightening for us?
39:19It's very frightening.
39:20Definitely.
39:21Oh, yeah.
39:22Really?
39:23Yeah.
39:24But they say men, you know, when they get older, oh, men age like fine wine.
39:26No old men.
39:27Some men age.
39:28Fine wine.
39:29Some?
39:30Some age like a old popper.
39:32But popper is at least better than the way we age.
39:36The heat, sour, acidic, and just lumpy.
39:39But who, from where all the statements come?
39:42I mean, you look at it out there.
39:43This is from Twinkle's book, but going back to it.
39:46I don't know.
39:47I've not read it.
39:48I don't know.
39:50So y'all don't worry about ageing, basically, both of you?
39:52No, ageing is just that.
39:54No, I do.
39:55If I speak for myself, of course I worry.
39:57You should.
39:58I worry.
39:59I mean, I'm 55.
40:00Because you think, oh, I have 20 more years, 30 more.
40:03You never know.
40:04I mean, anything can happen at this age.
40:06But also, things...
40:07Well, you'll be 70 soon.
40:08Most of your young life is over.
40:10So it's a little...
40:12You know, you have these thoughts of...
40:14Your mortality?
40:15Yeah, mortality and how it's ending.
40:17But I think it's important to kind of know how to do that nicely and easily.
40:21I used to worry about it.
40:22Not worry about it too much.
40:23I agree with you.
40:24Even I thought that ageing was terrifying.
40:26And then I realized that while ageing is a mathematical problem, it's not a sum of division.
40:31It's a sum of multiplication.
40:33We are sitting here, but we've had a multitude of, you know, heartbreaks, a multitude of love,
40:38a multitude of triumphs.
40:39So I don't think just not having tight skin is a qualifier.
40:44It doesn't diminish us.
40:45It enhances us.
40:46We are 51, 52, but we've got these people inside us.
40:50I still have the 10-year-old inside me that, you know, beat up all the boys.
40:53I've got the 30-year-old young mother.
40:56I've got the 40-year-old ambitious woman.
40:58Yeah.
40:59You beat him up?
41:00I did beat him.
41:01She was doing a scene together where she had to slap you.
41:03Whenever we talk to them, they keep breaking into bits.
41:05Yeah, she had to slap me in the scene.
41:07And she said,
41:08I don't know how to fake slap, so I'm just going to give you a big jaap.
41:13That sounds like Twinkle.
41:14No.
41:15So I said, no.
41:16Please don't.
41:17No, don't.
41:18It's like,
41:19I said, don't, yeah.
41:20So I said, don't, don't, please don't.
41:22And I don't think she did, but I was really scared.
41:24And the whole scene, I was like this.
41:25No, then once I tried to kick him because I was really angry with him.
41:27No, then my favorite story.
41:28She said,
41:29Now I have to fake kick you, but I'm going to real kick you because I don't know how to fake kick you.
41:33And then she kicked me or something and something happened to a foot.
41:35No, I missed.
41:36And then there was this big lump, which is the weirdest swelling I've ever seen on anyone's foot.
41:40And he was laughing also.
41:41And of course I was laughing.
41:42I was like, someone has protected me.
41:44She had to almost go to hospital.
41:47You know, talking with you guys with like so many things you guys are saying, it's so complicated.
41:53Just now Tina, I know, she's my wife.
41:56She's going to beat me up at this whole multiplication and the subtraction and all those things.
42:02You got confused.
42:03I got confused.
42:04You know, it's like, I was like, I was in Scotland.
42:07So, we were eating lunch there.
42:09So, there was something in the menu card.
42:11There was something, something, and a loaf of this with Netherlands and blah, blah.
42:19And something.
42:20I said, this must be something very good.
42:22So, I asked, can I have one of this?
42:25And then, guess what it was?
42:27Bread butter.
42:29You know, we have this argument all the time.
42:31I think I would say life should be very simple.
42:34This argument we both have together.
42:36And I think if anything has to be explained, it should be explained in a very simple way.
42:41It's not me.
42:42Socrates says an unexamined life is not worth living.
42:45It's only living for cattle.
42:46I'm paraphrasing.
42:47But what he's trying to tell you is that Socrates may have said it in English.
42:50Akshay is trying to tell you that put it into layman's terms and tell me exactly what it means.
42:54They could have written just bread and butter.
42:56But getting to the simple core of things is important.
43:02Yeah.
43:03You're right.
43:04I think simplicity is the golden word today.
43:06One second.
43:07What can be more simple than this?
43:08Once I wrote him a poem and the title was Two Peas in a Pot Died of Inertia.
43:13He looked at me and said, you're such a maha pakao.
43:15But Winkle, I have to say, he's right.
43:22You are a maha pakao, just cackling, cackling.
43:25But even you, you also say so many things I don't understand.
43:28Do you understand things?
43:29You are also thrown under the bus.
43:32I studied in Oxford Dictionary.
43:35But I like it very simple, very straight.
43:38That's the way I am.
43:39So simply simply pooch lete hain.
43:41Simply pooch lete hain.
43:42Hindi mein pooch lete hain.
43:43Hindi mein pooch lete hain.
43:44Hindi mein pooch lete hain.
43:45Hindi mein pooch lete hain.
43:46Hindi mein pooch lete hain.
43:47Hindi mein pooch lete hain.
43:48Simply pooch lete hain.
43:50Okay.
43:51Despite y'all not worrying about aging and we worrying about aging.
43:54Absolutely.
43:55Is it because we are living in a man's world
43:58where your value doesn't lie in tight skin and upright breasts?
44:02And ours supposedly does according to society.
44:05Are we living in a man's world?
44:07Yeah, we are living in a man's world.
44:09But I think it is time that everything should change.
44:12And it is changing slowly, slowly.
44:14And I'm very glad it is changing.
44:16So does masculinity today still mean I earn and I provide or has that changed?
44:23And the fact of the matter is that when you look at our society at large, a man who cannot provide is not considered a success in life.
44:32And women earning more than them or even working for that matter.
44:35Can I say something?
44:36Most of the women that I know, and let's leave it at that, I think would find it difficult to respect a guy who is not doing anything or not contributing in some kind of way.
44:50In a financial way.
44:51Honestly, it kind of helps if you are financially contributing, you get a bit more credibility.
44:55More for the man than for the woman.
44:56But I think it is important for both.
44:57I think there is a little more pressure in my mind on the man having to do that at the moment.
45:01And if a guy doesn't do that, whatever people say, the women I know will not really respect that.
45:06No, but I think even for women, it may not be that you have to financially go out there and earn more, but you definitely have to bring something to the table.
45:14But there will be 10 things to listen to me.
45:15I don't understand that.
45:16No, there is no such thing as a free lunch even if you are the one making it in the kitchen.
45:20There is no such thing as a free lunch.
45:21So you have to bring something to the table.
45:22Let's let Akshay talk, please.
45:23No, I don't understand what it is.
45:25If sometimes, if a woman is earning more, I'm okay with it.
45:30If Tina is earning more than me…
45:31No, she's saying what if the man doesn't earn it all?
45:33Now you don't have a job, what do you do?
45:36If you don't have a job.
45:37No, it's not.
45:38If you don't have a job, it's wrong.
45:39If you don't have a job, what do you do?
45:41a man should not or anybody should not think what the society thinks just think
45:46what you think is right there's too much of complication what society will give
45:50it to you it's too many things I'm gonna say too much of stress too much of
45:54pressure you take are they woke us watching a society guys which again or
45:57kya bat carrying it I'm look the interview because then I talk about
46:00sorry cheese I'm so stanky as an evil not you look at searching it up Joe
46:03Dill me out of Apollo anyway moving on both of you worked in the 90s three
46:09three shifts a day directors were temperamental throwing mics there was
46:12chaos everywhere today it's more civilized do y'all find it easier to work now or
46:17back in the 90s when it was all the wild wild west I think I used to enjoy the
46:21earlier 90s was the best everything we didn't have social media I tell you one
46:31thing that's changed there was a lot of bad language on set in the 90s which I
46:34kind of miss when people used to say silence that's a silent silence that so
46:38put up back and then everyone would be quiet and today nowadays they say silent
46:43silence and the director also doesn't say his assistant will say but his assistant
46:48will tell the other system he will show yeah we didn't have to worry about social
46:52media we didn't have to worry about Twitter or anything putting anything we
46:55just coming working there's no paparazzi there's no media there's nothing
47:00happening there everything is just around social reality first class yes hard work
47:05was there that time when we used to do stunts we didn't have paddings or anything
47:09like that I remember perli bar my leg at a knee pad and elbow my one fight
47:14master he saw me he didn't he has never seen for the all these pads and all he's saying
